New Forum Skin: 'JSDF Anti-Kaiju Skin'

Kaijuphiles,

I've added a brand new skin to the Forum today, the 'JSDF Anti-Kaiju Skin'!

I chose this to be the next skin, as I wanted to do something that was totally new and unique. The next skin will be based upon a specific kaiju, or group of kaiju, but for now enjoy the skin that touts the JSDF and all it's anti-kaiju goodness :cool: .


For those of you who don't know how to change your skin, here's a quick guide:

1. Go to your 'User Control Panel'

2. Click on the 'Edit Options' link

3. Scroll to the bottom of the Options menu and look for the 'Forum Skin' sub-menu area.

4. Choose a skin from the drop-down menu, and click on the 'Save Changes' button.

I'm looking at it right now, and it looks AWESOME! It's a kind of military theme, and the dark colors makes everything show up better, IMO.

It'll take some getting used to, but I think I'll stick with it for a while.

Edit: Wait. Wait. There is a small problem. The "Post Quick Reply" and other boxes like that don't show up to well. The letters are there, but the box out lines are not. Just thought i'd point that out.

Thus far, it looks good. However, it seems kind of rough, and so it might need to be smoothed off a bit. Also, some of the colors don't strike very well with it. Case in point: The post count/rank symbols don't go very well with this theme. Hope that helps.

I love it! My only quip is that many of the smilies have annoying white "fuzz" around them, but that goes with most dark backgrounds I guess (I've been using the lighter-colored KP skins for a while). I too have found a new forum skin. Can't wait for this new "kaiju-themed" skin you spoke of.

The new skin seems to go well with my avatar... :DYes! Several others on this page also seem to stand out better against the dark background.
Truly a great job, Sauron! :thumbs: The JSDF is no doubt ready for a nice morale builder themselves! ;)

oooooo, I like this. I think its the only skin other than default that has the menu drop down that has the shortcut for new posts and arcade, though I could be mistaken. But at any rate, it is cool!
