Friday Night KP Kaiju Movie!

Something me and Inferno Rodan started doing could be a fun thing to get started on the KP chat. Seer has given me the green light to see how many would be interested.

The premise is simple: buncha fans in the KP chat watching the same kaiju movie at the same time.

If you're interested, just come to the KP chat around 7:30. We'd start the movie at 8. So everyone is all synchronized, we'd do a countdown, followed by "play." This will only work if everyone has the DVDs.

The first movie we'll do is Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the American version of G54. We can just see what goes on from there. This would be a weekly thing every Friday night at 8. So if you're interested, just come to the chat around 7:50 so everyone can get their butts ready.

Remember, this is NOT live feed. This is just throwing the DVD in at the same time and watching. Live feed would be awesome, but can't do that. Also, there would be no group pausing.

Guess you can discuss here, could get an idea of how many people would show.

And that's 8:00 PM Eastern Time. Don't know whatever time that makes it for all the rest of ya'.

Like MST3K, except if Crow, Servo, and Joel/Mike were in different ships.

If you want we could use my JTV channel and do it as a private stream. That would make it easier for everyone and allow those who don't own the movie to join in.

Justin.tv has chat inside the channel so you won't need split screen action. I'll throw a link to my channel once I finish setting my my new comp for it.

Uh... I guess that depends on how the JTV servers feel that evening. Most of the time I think you should fine, but if for some reason the site gets a few extra tens of thousands viewers, it could slow down for time to time. Although that usually only happens when some celeb decides to show up on the site for a few hours... I'm looking at you Jonas Brothers.
