John "Dutch" DeSentis-- with the help of several toy dealers, collectors, and experts-- has compiled an extremely detailed guide for Bandai's line of Godzilla/Toho and Gamera vinyl figures. The market report covers standard, six inch, and big scale figures released by the company from the early 1980s up to the present, and includes current price listings and more than 80 photos.

So...attached or not, according to the article the figure would still be worth just as much? Unless the tag is in clear cut mint condition?

As long as you still have the tag and it's in good shape, the general view is that the value is the same whether the tag is attached or separate from the figure.
