Default Re: Game Ideas

Heh, god knows I think of a sequel/remake to just about any game I ever play. Here goes my first and most favorite:

Halo 3

Story: The war with the Covenant has reached its boiling point: An all-out assault has been launched against Earth. And slowly but surely, mankind is being overcome. As the Master Chief, you are determined to halt this invasion somehow. But first you must deal with the creature headlining it: The prophet of Truth. Lacking any weapons and without Cortana to guide him, he feels very alone, having to resort to stealth to get weapons from his enemies. The first Master Chief levels revolve around you killing every Brute, Jackal, and Drone you come across on the way to the bridge of the Forerunner ship. After this, the story of the Arbiter is picked up once again. You fight with the Scarab, Phantoms, and Banshee's to take over an enemy-held cruiser and use it to escape Delta Halo. Then you pay a brief visit to what's left of High Charity, and encounter Gravemind and hordes of Flood. You manage to capture Cortana from High Charity's computer system before barely escaping. The rest of the story would deal with the Master Chief arriving on Earth in the Forerunner ship, learning that the planet holds the mysterious "Ark" that Guilty Spark talked about at the end of Halo 2. You fight Elites and Grunts here, as they have not yet learned of the rebellion at High Charity. At one point, you will pilot a Ghost around the ruins of New Mombasa in a desert-like environment. The Arbiter levels will deal with you attempting to prevent High Charity from entering slipspace, and when that fails, stopping it from reaching Earth. Near the end of the game, the Master Chief will halt the activation process for the Halo installations from the Ark. The Master Chief with then finally head back into space when the Forerunner ship lifts off. He uses a Longsword fighter (which you get to pilot), and chases after the ship. The final level of the Arbiter will revolve around him taking one last shot at High Charity, arriving right smack in the middle of Gravemind's disgusting new empire. You must fight Gravemind himself, having a sword (that annoying battery has been eliminated. Sword's are infinite in this game), a rocket launcher (which must be used carefully to conserve ammo), a handful of grenades, and stealth. After defeating Gravemind and de-activating High Charity's weapons systems, the Arbiter blows the vessel to smitherenes. The last Master Chief level (the game will finish with the Chief this time around), you blast your way into the Forerunner ship and find Truth. After failed diplomacy, you have to kill him. This will be very much like the battle with Regret in Halo 2... Only Truth is much more powerful and has an assortment of different attacks that Regret didn't have. In the end, the Master Chief sacrifices himself to finally kill Truth and take out the Forerunner ship, the Elite's learn of the rebellion, and the Brutes and Jackals are all formally jettisoned into space. The war with the Covenant is over.

One thing I would fix from Halo 2 would be that their would be a more noticable diversity between the Master Chief and the Arbiter. In H2, they have basically the same controls, the only difference being that the Arbiter has camoflauge rather than a flashlight. In H3, The Arbiter will be able to do all that fancy dodging and getting pissed off that the normal H2 Elite's displayed. The Master Chief will also have some special physical attacks.

New Weapons: I haven't really thought much about this one, but I would love to see one of those machine guns from Aliens (or better yet, the one that mowed down the Jungle in Predator). I would also bring in the flamethrower that never made it into Halo 1. You would also be able to use other instruments of war: LOTUS Anti-Tank mines (from the books), and other such supplies.

I'll probably post more later, but I'm too tired right now.

Talking Re: Game ideas

^you said intro twice.

Anyways, here is mine, so far...

Defenders Of Mars:

Plot:
The Alien race of Mars has discovered a planet that was thought to have stolen Mars’ water. The Aliens become frustrated with the thought of an Enemy Planet. Earth was known only by ancient carvings in the deep underground caves of Mars. When a UFO was sent to Earth to discover the planet’s inhabitants, it discovered that not only were they a smart species of intergalactic “scum”, but they were planning to send a “Probe” to Mars. The Aliens were enraged to hear of such a mission. They sent “special” aliens to spy on and destroy the species on Earth.
The Aliens were not retarded, they had a power inside them that made them better than their relatives. Three aliens were sent to the Earth, they were all brothers. The first alien was named “Abe Krutts”, his power: massive amounts of electrical energy that can appear out of any part of his body and target an enemy more than half a mile away. The second alien was named “Mutz Krutts”, his power: massive strength that can destroy a large building in a matter of seconds. The third alien was named “Stretch Krutts”, his power: stretching limbs, durability, and fire power from his antennae.
The aliens were sent to Earth, back at Mars, the Aliens already planned to give the brothers a time limit or else they will unleash their new Hunters, in Spanish, today, the Hunters are known as “El Chupacabras”. The brothers are sent to kill the Humans in massive numbers in various citys across the globe, ending each invasion with a bomb known to the Martians as a “PlanetBuster”. In this game, you are the enemy of yourself.

more will be posted in a few days or so. What do you guys think of the plot?

Actually, it has nothing to do with Gamera, basically you destroy supervillains and monsters like gamera, PPF means "Powerpuff Girls", where are you from? Why would you ask if you can play it here? In america? Aren't you from here?

There was already a PlayStation title called GAMERA 2000:

The game's soundtrack was also released on CD by Zunata Records. Lawrence Tuczynski has a review of the disc on his excellent Godzilla Monster Music website:

Yeah, but didn't you have to play as a jet that followed Gamera???

The Emerald City, and the Territories Closest to Hell.

You start out playing as cat (a Neko-Musume) and you're trying to change the entire social structure of the Emerald City, and the two Territories Closest to Hell (Sturm and Drag) the game would also feature several others as playables once you meet them in the story;

Draconas - Liberator of all that is good; able to manipulate physics within the Emerald City.

Odin - A Shogun Centaur, leader of the rebellion against Sin Rokujou (Depends on path)

Sin Rokujou - A humanoid/lizard, standing nine feet tall, leader of the counter-rebellion against Odin (Depends on Path)

Alacard - Depressed swordsman, losing his soul.

Demon - Monster of the 3rd circle of Hell (Alacard's evil path)

Angel - Divine Swordsman, Left Hand of God (Alacard's heavenly path)

Magnus - Agent of Emerald city, proficient in combat. (alt.Path, Alacard must die.)

Of course, there are at least eight different storylines there, each making a different final section. (Heaven, Hell, the Crossroads, the Nexus, Asgard, Oblivion, The Descent, The Ascent)

The Emerald City - A large metropolis; altered through an opressive system that turns the digital into the real...
And vice-versa.

Sturm - A City of constant war, gothic catheadrals and urban skyscrapers crumble and shatter at this constant battle between Odin and the forces of light in their conflict with Sin Rokujou and the forces of Evil.

Drag - A city where no one has an identitiy, and where people are slowly loosing their souls to routine. It is here you meet Alacard.

Heaven - Only available if you have allied with Sin Rokujou, and turned Alacard into a demon; you lead a demonic assault on the heavenly city.

Hell - Only available if you have allied with Odin and turned Alacard into an angel, you lead the forces of heaven in to destroy evil forever; or do you?

The Crossroads - Only available if you have sided with Odin, but turned Alacard into a demon; you must discover the meaning of the Crossroads, which is an intersection in the middle of infinite wheat feilds.... Demon infested wheat fields!

The Nexus - Only available if you have sided with Sin Rokujou, but have turned Alacard into an Angel. In this place, you either play as Sin Rokujou, or the Angel, and fight throught the other's armies until you engage them in a duel to the death.

Asgard - Only available if you sided with Odin, and had Alacard killed.
Odin joins with you again (this time as a playable character) as you try to discover the mystery of Asgard and therefore prevent Ragnarok. Both Angels and Demons will oppose you.

Oblivion - Only available if you sided with Sin Rokujou, and had Alacard killed.
You fight the ones that founded and isolated the Emerald City, and restore it to it's natural state.

The Descent - Only available if you sided with Sin Rokujou, and kept Alacard as he was.
You seek to find Alacard in this depressing Noir town, only to discover that he's become a demon already.

The Ascent - Only available if you sided with Odin, and kept Alacard as he was.
You must stop Magnus from destroying the Emerald City, and discover his ties to Alacard, so that Alacard may become the Angel.

Anyhoo, that's my idea, each section would be close to five hours long to fully complete, though once you beat it, you can choose to skip certain sections.

Saving Sliver Falls

Backstory: In the rural areas of Washington, a new drug known as Demon Dust has burst onto the scene. The fictional town of Sliver Falls has been hit the worst by it. The dealers and users have flooded the town and its become a hub for the Demon Dust trade. School grades are dropping because children's minds have been damaged by Demon Dust and they only come to school to buy/sell Demon Dust. The thick woods outside the town are saturated with huts used for the production of Demon Dust (known as Dust Labs). Demon Dust itself is a drug similar to Methamphetimine (sp?), but it also has added hallucogenic effects similar to those of Marijuana. Those who don't do Demon Dust still feel the effects of it because he town's water supply is being polluted by toxic waste created in the production of Demon Dust. The small town's Sheriff's Department attempts to battle against the Dealers, but they do not have sufficient permits from the State or any employees certified in dealing with narcotics. After losing his son in a Dust Lab fire, Sheriff Ned Dernes decides enough is enough. Without proper permits or equipment, Ned vows to drive Demon Dust and its dealers out of his town.

Gameplay: Players control Ned Dernes in the free-roaming enviroment of Sliver Falls. Sliver Falls is a small town surrounded by a thick forest of trees. Ned doesn't have a huge arsenal of weaponry, just his pistol. He can use his good physique for brawling, and his handcuffs can be used as an interesting melee weapon by cuffing a foe and swinging them around to hit other enemies. Instead of missions sending you through the story, Ned has to search out the Dust Labs himself and shut them down. You can get tips on the locations of Dust Labs from Ned's office where concerned townspeople are overjoyed that Ned has taken action. When you enter a dust lab, you have to be careful. One effect of Demon Dust is that, temporarily, it grants the user temporary enhanced alterness and higher speed. Usually a Lab is filled with Users and a few dealers. The Users are dependant on the Dealers and always obey the orders of the Dealers and often put themselves in danger to protect the dealers. When in a Lab, you cannot stay in there lon. The fumes of toxic chemicals being used to create dust and Dust itself being used will get to Ned if he stays inside too long. If Ned stays inside a Lab too long, he will start hallucinating of monsters and he'll even have to fight the hallucinated foes or they will cause Ned to have a heart attack. He can use a cloth to shield his mouth and nose from it, but it only gives him a bit more time. When inside a Lab, Ned can go to a window or find a hole on the wall to get a breath of fresh air so he can stay inside the Lab longer. When you arrive at a lab, your first objective is to arrest all of the Dealers and Users on the scene. You do this by engaging them in combat and throwing them outside for your deputy to pick up later and jail them. The Users are usually people so disfigured by use of Demon Dust that they resemble ghouls. Users usually lurk in the shadows and will attempt to sneak up on Ned, but the sounds of their moaning usually gives them away. Dealers usually don't use Demon Dust at all and are usually seen wearing Gas Masks. Dealers are armed with knives and sometimes guns. After that, you must dispose of the Demon Dust inside the lab. As you crack down on the various labs and Dealers, Ned will start to unravel a buisness centered around the town and the Demon Dust Kinpin may be closer than he thinks.

Figment is heading in the right direction.
Default Re: Game ideas

This idea is based off of the original Journey Into Imagination attraction at Epcot with Figment as the star.

Disney presents: Figment, Protector of the Sparks

Plotline: Nightmares and other nasty ideas have escaped the Dreamport and are making their way across the Realm of Dreams. Worse yet, a dark nightmare seems to have taken Figment's friends captive and extinguished many sparks of the imagination which could stop it. Figment, armed with a small idea bag vacumn sets off to set things right by defeating the nightmares and freeing his friends.

Gameplay: Similar to the Kirby series, Figment can take on various abilities by absorbing enemies into the idea bag and using their powers. The idea bag can also mix these abilities for more powerful ones. The idea bag has storage limits though and only so many powers can be fused at a time. As Figment advances through levels, reigniting ideas as he goes on, he can use the sparks of imagination to open up new worlds from the hub of the Dreamport facility. From here, Figment can train in the Literature/Tales of Terror room, play minigames in the Art Room, access previous missions and new ones in the Science room, and watch older cutscenes and play rhythm games in Performing Arts.

Woah... I've been off a bit too long, I think.
So, now that I've been thoroughly bitten by the LOST bug, and now that I've learned there's a LOST video game in the works (!), I've decided to theorize on it!

LOST: The Video Game
This would be a free-roaming RPG game. You can customize your character, and do stuff that would screw around with the timeline (y'know... Hunt Ethan down with Jack and everyone, help Jack with his Desmond problem).
The flashbacks would be a pain to figure out, but a GTA-style mode would fit best.
Player *during flashback*: Hmm.. what to do now... Do I mug this guy? Do I punch Sawyer in the face? Chocolate cake, or not chocolate cake?

^_^ Ok, that's out of my system. (And a good thing too... I might start talking about Kate.)

STAR FOX: LYLAT

1. Customization
You can customize your character in anyway you see fit. Gender, eye color, clothing, fur color, species, name, weapons and so forth can all be edited, making your character unique.

2. Starting Points
The planets to start off on are Sauria, Zoness, Papetoon, Fortuna, Titania and Aquas. Sauria is tribal, with lots of SharpClaw still hanging around. Zoness mainly takes place on a small island, and several sea ports. Papetoon sends you to its capital, where you can exit into the mainly unexplored wild. On Fortuna, you can enter several cities, and an outlying forest where remnants of Andrew Oikonny’s troops have been spotted. Titania is basically the same as Papetoon. Aquas takes place above and below a metropolis that floats above the water.
To leave a starting point, you must be Level 4 or above, and have at least sp$10,000 to mark a transport.

3. Headquarters
After gaining Level 4+, and having 10,000 spdollars, you must then choose whether to join the Lylat Militia, the Venomian Armed Forces, Space Pirates or just be a plain old merc.
Lylat Militia: Go to Corneria or Katina.
Venomian Armed Forces: Go to Venom.
Space Pirates: Go to Macbeth.
Mercenary: Go to Sector Y.

4. Shipsmith
Since you begin with a uncustomizable craft, you can buy a ship that you can tinker with from the Shipsmith Sheegon. Sheegon has all sorts of ships to buy, ranging from Greenie II’s to Wolfen II’s. All are customizable.

5. Celebrities
Sometimes, you will encounter high-profile characters such as Wolf O’Donnell, Algy, Fox McCloud or Bill Grey. Depending on what affiliation you are, you will be greeted by a warm handshake, or a blaster bolt up your tail.

6. Any Closing Comments
I ain’t getting on no plane, Hannibal!
