WRONG. compared to the rest of the Heisei era it had more hth combat than any other film except Biollante. Like the body slams, then you had where Destroyah drug Goji all over the place. Those two were doing many nasty things to each other. Goji only shot his beam about a total of 15 times compared to every other movie where he fired it every flipping second.

It doesn't matter how beamy it is, what matters is how much of a balance there is between long-ranged and close-ranged combat, which the final battle of GvsD did perfectly, unlike most other fights in the Heisi series.

Because it's not really about the number of beams, it's about how many beams there are in comparison to physical combat. The Showa Mechagodzilla films have pretty beamy battles every so often, but they're not as notorious in that aspect like the Heisi battles are because in those older fights, there's still a significant amount of physical action in addition to the beams and projectiles.

Yes I do, it was made for many different reasons, it's also my second favorite Goji film after GvB.

But the point was that Godzilla was still portrayed as the bad guy in the movie and still retained his connection to the atomic bomb. The atomic bomb symbolism did not really start to fade until "Ghidra the Three Headed Monster," when he started his move to becoming "Hero of Japan."

It is a great movie. I rated it 10/10, because of the plot and the monster appearances & abilities.

I have to give this film a 10. The only real flaw I see is some slight cheese with the terrorists from the fictional country. But other than that I really can't think of anythingbad about it. One of 3 Godzilla film that have made me cry. I'm not going to sing the same praises about story and FX, since others in this thread have already said all that there is to say about that. One thing I noticed while watching this again. You can see tiny hints of things that don't really bother you now, but will become more annoying and stupid as the Heisei series contiues (The Super-X, the psychic storyline, bizzare criminal plots). This film could also serve as a warning that bad times are to come for those who dislike many films in the Heisei series.

Personally, one of the best Godzilla films ever. Definately the most well done film of the heisei era.

I would give it a 9. It isn't a perfect film, but it does give a very goo impression to everyone.

I personally believe that it is the best Goji movie, it seemed the most realistic IMO. I also loved the political ideas in it as well.

I'm gonna give it a 7/10. It's a good movie overall, but the soundtrack and some of the spy movie elements didn't really do anything for me.

I thought the soundtrack was the best thing lol! It was a very unique composition, and it is very fun to listen to.

The case of Godzilla v. Biollante will now commence. Godzilla, hereafter refered to as the Plaintiff... oh, wait.

The movie was good, I suppose, but far from a favorite. Too little Godzilla, too little fight...Though Biollante is cool. I also find it interesting that the Evil Americans were the ones to release Godzilla. Also worth notice is the fact that while the Evil Americans were busy releasing Godzilla, fictional Middle Eastern terrorists were busy trying to get the bacteria.

I agree with Gfantheheroman. G vs. Biolante is one of the best movies in the heisie series. The story is great and very powerful. Biollante is my favorite heisie monster.

I give it an 8. A fun Godzilla movie that needed a bit more monster action. Great story, but does not remotely compare to my all time favorite:GMK.

I gave it 9/10, it is certainly one of the best movies from the Hesei era, and makes my top three.
