Re: 1/5 of America believes the Sun goes around the Earth.
4. Look around at the website.
5. Walking up and asking a person "Does the sun revolve around the Earth?" is not accurate. A person put on the spotlight can easily get "sun" and "Earth" mixed up. I know I would, and I would answer quickly for such an obvious "yes" answer. I mean it's an obvious yes right!? What a stupid question! Everyone know the Earth revolves... wait...
So there ya have it.

Now, I don't get this at all. If you surf the web being paranoid and unwilling to belive some of the stuff thats been written, then that totally defeats the purpose of the internet and you're wasting your time.

Re: 1/5 of America believes the Sun goes around the Earth.
When 50% or more of Americans are too damn stupid to see Cretinism for the bullshit it is, it damn well is representative of the average American.
I'm sorry, but having the second-lowest percentage of scientific literacy next to frickin' Turkey is embarrassing.

Try my outlook on things like this: don't give a damn. It's been working well for me.
