Battlefield INDEX and General Information
INTRODUCTION
The location of each battle is determined before the voting begins. No more arguments about Barugon's inability to cope on an oceanic battlefield or how Zigra would fare in the middle of a desert!
Battlefields add another element to Desumacchi debates where speculation as to how a monster might employ its terrain adds to the fun of these theoretical match-ups.
Many battlefields also introduce SPECIAL RULES for the Fight Phase, aspects which may hinder some kaiju, help others or even decide a match on its own!
TEAM ALIGNMENT can also determine how some conditions/effects will play out if kaiju are working together against a common foe.
Grades of COVER provided by terrain
Each battlefield will provide a different grade of Cover for combatants. AQUATIC KAIJU have their own special rules in regards to this as some battlefields provide no bodies of water they can exploit. Where this is so has been noted.
NONE: -5 point PENALTY to Defense Rolls
MINIMAL: NO BONUS to Defense Rolls
LIGHT: +5 point BONUS to Defense Rolls
MODERATE: +10 point BONUS to Defense Rolls
HEAVY: +15 point BONUS to Defense Rolls
EXTREME: +20 point BONUS to Defense Rolls
BATTLE WEAR - REDUCTIONS of Cover due to the sheer violence of combat. Should a battle last 7 ROUNDS OR MORE, the Cover will be REDUCED -5 due to the kaijus' ferocious fighting. This reduction is in effect for the NEXT ROUND as well as for any future fights there.
No Battlefield Cover will drop below MINIMAL (NO BONUS to Defense Rolls) due to Battle Wear.
Once again, it would be a good idea to refer to even the more familiar venues, beginning with ROUND ONE.
Homefield
Kaiju fighting on their Homefield are allowed 3 free RE-ROLLS of their FIRST 3 MISSED Attack Rolls. A re-roll may never be re-rolled. They also gain the bonuses of being VETERAN kaiju.
Veterans
Using their knowledge of the battlefield, Veteran kaiju gain a BONUS of +10 to their Defense Power Number. Veteran kaiju are those who have actually appeared or been stated as having appeared in a particular location in one or more films.
Battlefield Selection
When deciding where a match will take place, dice are rolled to determine the battlefield. The RADIOACTIVE SLAG HEAP is not a true Battlefield but replaces other venues should certain events or conditions transpire.

Adona Island
Adona Island
(Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II)
A bleak, barren jumble of craggy rocks in the COLD SEAS north of Japan. The island was once a Soviet nuclear waste site and the ground is RADIOACTIVE. Large, jagged hills of black rock punctuate the otherwise featureless island.
Cover: Light (+5 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: Rodan (Heisei)
Veterans: Godzilla (Heisei)
Special Rules:
Background Radiation - Any time a RADIOACTIVE KAIJU ROLLS DOUBLES, it will HEAL ONE WOUND inflicted during the battle.
Note: Any kaiju with a TRANSFORMATION will NOT BENEFIT from this unless they have completed ALL transitional phases.

Antarctica
Antarctica
(Godzilla Final Wars)
A stretch of barren, icy oblivion, broken only by an EDF base sheltered within a frozen mountain.
The area is pockmarked with fissures and crags, giving kaiju several obstacles to hide within or behind. The unbelievable COLD is, however, the most prominent feature of this bleak ice field.
Cover: Light (+5 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: None
Veterans: Godzilla (GFW), Gigan (GFW)
Special Rules:
Frozen Wasteland - REPTILES and INSECTS are extremely sensitive to cold and function quite poorly in such frigid environs. Any REPTILE or INSECT KAIJU will suffer a PENALTY of -5 to its Power and Defense Numbers.
Air Battleship Gotengo - The EDF’s most powerful weapon, the Gotengo, is patrolling this area and will take part in any kaiju battle. The armored airship has a Power Number of 30 and can withstand 2 HITS.
It will attack any kaiju NOT classified as GOOD, effectively functioning as a third combatant. If both kaiju are worthy of its attentions, the Gotengo will make a Focus Roll to determine which it will attack at the end of each round.
Any kaiju subject to attack by Gotengo must likewise make a Focus Roll to see whether it attacks its foe or the ship.
GOOD kaiju will not attack Gotengo but keep their attentions focused on their opponent.

Arizona Wasteland
Arizona Wasteland
(Godzilla Final Wars)
An open plain of desert wasteland with only cactus and mobile homes to break up the monotony. Even at night, the temperature remains sweltering, taxing the strength of all but the hardiest, most rugged creatures.
Cover: None (-5 point PENALTY to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: None
Veterans: Kumonga (GFW)
Special Rules
The heat in Arizona is so intense that MAMMALS function rather poorly. Any MAMMAL kaiju will suffer a PENALTY of -5 to its Power and Defense Numbers. MACHINERY also functions poorly under the burning sun and all ROBOTS and CYBORGS will likewise suffer a PENALTY of -5 to their Power and Defense Numbers.
REPTILES, on the other hand, like the heat and GAIN a +5 BONUS to their Power and Defense Numbers to represent their hyper-active state with so much heat present.
Any AQUATIC kaiju, reptile or otherwise, will be severely compromised by fighting in such hostile terrain and start the match already suffering ONE WOUND.

Birth Island
Birth Island
(Godzilla vs Space Godzilla)
A lush tropical island south of Japan, Birth Island rests upon rich deposits of uranium, making the island quite RADIOACTIVE and a fine habitat for Godzilla and his kind.
The island is mostly covered by tropical trees and foliage, with a few mountains of volcanic rock.
Cover: Light (+5 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: Godzilla (Heisei), Godzilla Junior
Veterans: Space Godzilla
Special Rules
Uranium Deposits - There is so much radioactive matter beneath Birth Island that RADIOACTIVE KAIJU are able to draw nourishment from it. Any time a RADIOACTIVE KAIJU rolls 01-10 either on an Attack or Defense Roll, it will also HEAL ONE WOUND previously suffered in battle.

Children's Land
Children's Land
(Godzilla on MonsterIsland)
An area of cleared land being developed into an 'amusement park' by the insect-like aliens from Nebula M Space Hunter.
The terrain is largely barren fields and dirt, punctuated by what few structures for the park that have already been built. Most of these are quite small but a few do offer slight concealment to battling kaiju.
The principal feature is the mighty GodzillaTower which dominates the battlefield.
Cover: Minimal (NO BONUS to Defense Rolls). There is NONE for AQUATIC kaiju.
Veterans: Godzilla (Showa), King Ghidorah (Showa), Gigan (Showa), Anguirus (Showa)
Special Rules
Godzilla Tower - Godzilla Tower has a Power Number of 40 and acts pretty much as a third combatant. It takes 2 HITS to destroy it. The Tower will never fire on a SPACE MONSTER. With other kaiju, it will select ONE of the combatants in this order:
GOOD monsters, NEUTRAL monsters and lastly, EVIL monsters. If BOTH targets are of the SAME category, it will ALTERNATE shots at them from round to round.
If both monsters are SPACE MONSTERS, it will not fire at all.
Any kaiju subject to attack by the Godzilla Tower must make a Focus Roll each round to see if it will attack the Tower or its opponent.
Kaiju targetted by it may make Defense Rolls.
TEAM RULE: SPACE MONSTERS do not attract the the Tower's attention. Should a combatant's team mate not also be alien, it is considered by its TEAM ALIGNMENT, same as the opposing kaiju.

Dr. Who’s Arctic Base
Dr. Who’s Arctic Base
(King Kong Escapes)
A vast, frozen ICE FIELD in the ARCTIC OCEAN. The monotony is broken only by the few surface structures that support Dr. Who’s nefarious underground headquarters.
Cover: None (-5 point PENALTY to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: Mechani-kong
Veterans: King Kong
Special Rules
Frozen Wasteland - REPTILES and INSECTS are extremely sensitive to cold and function quite poorly in such frigid environs. Any REPTILE or INSECT KAIJU will suffer a PENALTY of -5 to its Power and Defense Numbers.
International Judas - Dr. Who’s terrorist forces will attack any intruders who are not EVIL kaiju.
EACH ROUND, an attack is made at Power Number 20 and will cause ONE WOUND if successful. Dr. Who must make a Focus Roll to determine which kaiju to target if neither is considered EVIL.

Expoland ’70
(Gamera vs Monster X)
The World Expo was held in Japan in 1970 in an industrial complex. A scattering of relatively large buildings set in an area of wooded hills and undeveloped land provides kaiju with a fairly open area in which to fight.
Cover: Minimal (NO BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Veterans: Gamera (Showa), Jiger
Special Rules
The scientists at Expoland have rigged the area with low frequency SONIC transmitters. Any kaiju sensitive to SONIC ATTACKS will suffer a -5 point PENALTY to their Power and Defense Numbers.

Faro Island
Faro Island
(King Kong vs Godzilla)
A tropical island in Micronesia, the terrain is one of extremes with massive, jagged mountains and hills, vast stretches of bleak, barren shoreline and areas of impenetrable jungle.
Cover: Light (+5 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: King Kong
Special Rules:
Giant Octopus - BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, one of the kaiju is attacked by a giant octopus. Roll a die for each combatant. The one which rolls the LOWEST number is subject to its attentions. The octopus has a Power Number of 15 and can be run off with 1 HIT.
Once the octopus has been defeated, the battle will proceed as usual, with its enemy retaining any damage caused by the mollusk.
If the octopus defeats its enemy, the opposing kaiju is considered to have won the match.
TEAM RULE: If BOTH kaiju on a Team are of the same Alignment (Good, Evil or Neutral), the creature is too intimidated by their combined presence to attack.

Flora (Guiron's homeworld)
Flora (Guiron's homeworld)
(Attack of the Monsters)
An alien world situated on the exact opposite side of the sun from the Earth, Flora has been gripped by an ice age. Its polar caps are rapidly devouring what little remains of the planet.
The battlefield is the remnant of one of Flora’s great cities, a network of towers, sealed corridors and strange dome-like structures. One of Flora’s last lakes provides DEEP WATER for any lurking kaiju.
Cover: Moderate (+10 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: Guiron, Space Gyaos
Veterans: Gamera (Showa)
Special Rules:
Alien Attack - If a SPACE MONSTER is battling on Flora, the remaining alien population will come to its aid, launching a deadly rocket AT ITS FOE.
BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, make an Attack Roll at Power Number 40 against the space monster’s enemy which may be countered with a Defense Roll. If the missile HITS, it causes TWO WOUNDS.
If no SPACE kaiju are present or if both monsters are from space, the aliens will save their missile for when it might be most effective.
TEAM RULE: SPACE MONSTERS' team mates are spared the aliens' attention but if the opposing team does NOT include an ET, they make a Focus Roll to select a target for their attack.

Infant Island
Infant Island
(Mothra)
An irradiated chunk of rock located in the South Seas, Infant Island is largely barren and devoid of vegetation beyond a sheltered, jungle-like interior. The rest of the island is composed of jagged, knife-like crags of rock. Background radiation on the island provides an unwelcome addition to the already bleak atmosphere.
Cover: Light (+5 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: Mothra (Showa), Mothra (Kiryu), Mothra (GFW), Mothra (Rebirth), Mothra (Heisei)
Veterans: Battra, Gigan (GFW)
Special Rules
Background Radiation - Any time a RADIOACTIVE kaiju ROLLS DOUBLES, it will HEAL ONE WOUND it has previously suffered during battle.
NOTES:- Any kaiju with a TRANSFORMATION stage remaining will NOT benefit from the healing properties of this rule. It will use the roll to TRANSFORM instead.
- On Infant Island, ANY version of Mothra counts as RADIOACTIVE for purposes of its healing benefits, provided it has completed ALL transitional phases.

Late Cretaceous
Late Cretaceous
(Rebirth of Mothra III)
Prehistoric Mt. Fuji is an active, boiling volcano, spewing smoke and lava into the sky. The surrounding area is a sweltering tropical jungle infested with dinosaurs and other ancient forms of life.
There is ample cover for kaiju here, with prehistoric foliage providing places to hide. A section of deep swampland and a primordial lake provide sanctuary for AQUATIC kaiju.
Cover: Moderate (+10 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: Cretaceous/Grand Ghidorah
Veterans: Mothra (Rebirth)
Special Rules
Dinosaur Snacking - Any CARNIVOROUS kaiju may avail itself of the plentiful dinosaurs in the area to heal injuries received in battle.
Any time the kaiju rolls 90-95 on an ATTACK ROLL, instead of attacking its foe, it bends down and gobbles up a dinosaur, HEALING ONE WOUND. The snacking kaiju FORFEITS its Defense Roll, however, as it is too busy eating.
Ancient Mothras - These strange, primordial Mothras may have cause to employ their healing powers to aid any GOOD kaiju.
When a GOOD kaiju suffers a Wound, roll a d6. On a roll of 1, one or more of the ancient Mothras sprays its healing silk onto the monster’s injuries, HEALING ONE WOUND.
Mt. Fuji’s Wrath - As an active volcano, there is little chance of avoiding Mt. Fuji’s fiery violence. Every round AFTER THE 3rd, roll a d6:
On a roll of 1-3, the volcano explodes, showering deadly lava and poisonous fumes across the battlefield. Each kaiju receives ONE WOUND at the beginning of EVERY succeeding Round. The first to suffer 3 or MORE WOUNDS THAN ITS OPPONENT is considered eliminated and its foe is declared the winner.

Letchi Island
Letchi Island
(Godzilla vs the Sea Monster)
A tropical island in the SOUTH PACIFIC, its terrain includes jungle, craggy hills, a rocky coastline and the secret base of the Red Bamboo terrorist organization.
While the trees offer kaiju no real cover, the hills and seaside cliffs do provide some protection. The deep waters around the island offer AQUATIC kaiju a valuable sanctuary from the attacks of their land-based foes.
Cover: Light (+5 point BONUS to Defense Rolls) and EXTREME (+20 point BONUS to Defense Rolls) for aquatic kaiju)
Homefield: Ebirah (Showa)
Veterans: Godzilla (Showa), Mothra (Showa)
Special Rules
Sea Condor - BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, one of the kaiju is attacked by a Gant Sea Condor.
Roll a die. Whichever kaiju rolls LOWEST is attacked. The Sea Condor has a Power Number of 15 and can be killed with 1 HIT. Once it has been defeated, the battle will proceed as usual, with the Condor’s enemy retaining any damage caused by the bird.
If the Sea Condor prevails, the opposing kaiju is considered to have won the match.
Red Bamboo Reactor - There is a chance that the fierce battle will spread to the Red Bamboo base and cause damage to the nuclear reactor there. BEFORE THE 6th ROUND BEGINS, roll a d6.
If the result is 1-3, the reactor has been damaged and the entire island is going to be blown to atoms if combat has not concluded by the END OF THE 9th ROUND.
If the battle still rages, Letchi Island is engulfed in a nuclear explosion that consumes BOTH kaiju who are eliminated from the tournament. Kaiju that would be able to survive such an event are considered too traumatized by the blast to continue fighting.
Letchi Island is REMOVED from the list of available battlefields and any previously scheduled matches there are re-rolled.
Since MULTIPLE kaiju could be eliminated by such a catastrophe, a "reserve" is selected from the pool of those who did not make the initial Inclusion to avoid a BYE for any contenders.

London
London
(Destroy All Monsters)
London is the historic capital of Great Britain and has withstood such ravages as the Great Fire, the Black Death, the Spanish Armada, the Blitz and even the assault of Britain’s own local monster, Gorgo.
The ancient city’s skyline is not as imposing as that of more modern cities, yet it boasts many more historic edifices than places such as Tokyo and New York.
The streets are narrow and spread out in a spiderweb network through the businesses, homes, museums and palaces of the city. Landmarks include Parliament and Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the Tower Bridge and the infamous Tower of London. The city is inland but the wide THAMES RIVER connects London with the sea.

Majin’s Mountain
Majin’s Mountain
(Majin, Monster of Terror)
Situated in the interior of Kyushu, the main island of Japan, Majin’s Mountain is a place held in dread and awe by local villagers and samurai alike.
It is here that the dread Majin’s spirit is kept imprisoned by the noble warrior god, Shino. The terrain is varied, from the rocky slopes of the mountain itself to the lake and river which flow through the area. The forest surrounding the mountain is thick and overgrown, the trees stretching barren limbs like skeletal claws to clutch and grope any intruders.
The shrine itself is built into the side of the mountain, a featureless stone samurai alternately held to be a representation of the dread oni, Majin, or the noble samurai god, Shino.
Cover: Variable
Homefield: Majin
Veterans: None
Special Rules:
Haunted Battlefield - This is Majin’s Mountain, an unreal place where the laws of physical reality bend and break. Majin is a wrathful god of vengeance and retribution, his ire kept contained by the efforts of Shino. But here, on his own mountain, Majin’s power cannot be restrained. The very landscape seems to twist and move, deceiving and betraying those the angry god considers unworthy of trespassing into his domain.
The spirits of the underworld shriek and howl from the shadows, preying on the fears and doubts of the unprepared.
The very elements bow to Majin’s every whim, thunderstorms appearing from blue skies without warning, floods erupting from dry riverbanks. Worst of all, the most despicable of intruders may find themselves sucked into the hellish inferno within the mountain itself, destined to share Majin’s eternal prison.
GOOD kaiju are the least in jeopardy on Majin’s Mountain. Indeed, the mountain itself will come to their aid, the terrain twisting and moving to conceal and protect the virtuous. Any GOOD kaiju will treat the Cover Bonus of Majin’s Mountain as ‘EXTREME’, ADDING +20 to its Defense Power Number.
NEUTRAL kaiju will feel uneasy as the spirits of the mountain howl and groan just on the edges of their perception. As a result of this unsettling influence, NEUTRAL kaiju suffer a PENALTY of -5 points to their Power Number. The terrain will remain largely immobile, making no great effort either to help or hinder them. They treat the Cover Bonus of the battlefield as LIGHT (+5 point BONUS to its DPN).
EVIL kaiju will find themselves wishing they were somewhere else. The tormenting specters are so prevalent that the monster is deeply unsettled, suffering a -10 point PENALTY to its Power Number.
The terrain will make every effort to betray and expose it. Boulders it tries to hide behind roll away, water draining from pools in which it may be concealed.
EVIL kaiju treat the Cover Bonus of Majin’s Mountain as ‘NONE’ (-5 point PENALTY to its DPN). Further, the elements conspire against EVIL kaiju. Lightning and pounding rain slam into them just when they seem at their most powerful.
Any EVIL kaiju which rolls a BENEFICIAL Primal Number while on Majin’s Mountain must roll 1d6.
On a roll of 1-2, the distracting elements have caused the kaiju to miss its opportunity and the powerful maneuver DOES NOT transpire.
EVIL kaiju must be wary, lest the ground crack open beneath their very feet and eldritch forces within the mountain pull them into the quaking earth and the burning hell of Majin’s prison.
Any time an EVIL kaiju FAILS ITS ATTACK ROLL, it must roll 1d10. On a roll of ‘1’, the attack failed because the mountain has swallowed the kaiju and eliminated it from the tournament! Its opponent wins the match.

Mondo Island
(King Kong Escapes)
A tropical island in the South Pacific, its terrain includes jungle, craggy hills and a sandy shoreline. The immense trees are large enough to provide cover for smaller kaiju. The deep waters around the island offer AQUATIC KAIJU a valuable sanctuary from the attacks of land-based foes.
Cover: Light (+5 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: King Kong, Gorosaurus
Special Rules
Sea Snake - BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, any AQUATIC KAIJU are attacked by a Giant Sea Snake. Roll a die for each AQUATIC kaiju if there are two, the one rolling LOWEST being the one attacked.
The Sea Snake has a Power Number of 20 and will suffer 1 HIT before being run off. Once it has been defeated, the battle will proceed as usual, with the Sea Snake's enemy retaining any damage caused by the reptile.
If the Sea Snake defeats its foe in this preliminary match, the opposing kaiju is considered the winner.
TEAM RULE: Should an AQUATIC kaiju be defeated, its team mate must fight the round alone.

Moscow
Moscow
(Destroy All Monsters)
The capital of the largest nation on Earth, Moscow has been the seat of power for czars and communist despots for centuries.
The city is marked with many historic structures, most prominent being the Kremlin, an old Czarist palace which later became the center of power for the Soviet government. The buildings by and large are not so massive as those in the west but the streets are wide and broad.
Cover: Moderate (+10 point BONUS to Defense Rolls)
Veterans: Rodan (Showa)
Revenge of the Russians - ALL KAIJU who fight in Moscow will earn the hatred of the Russian people and their government. They now carry what has come to be known as the RUSSIAN DEATH MARK.
At the start of THE NEXT MATCH such kaiju are fighting in, there is a chance that the Russians will try to take revenge. Roll a d100 BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS and Battlefield Conditions invoked.
On a roll of 1-20, the Russians fire a nuclear missile at the kaiju WHO FOUGHT IN MOSCOW from an orbiting weapons platform.
Naturally, a nuke is going to obliterate a large enough area that both the targeted kaiju and its adversary will be affected.
EACH KAIJU rolls a d6 to determine the number of wounds suffered as a result of the attack:
1-2 = 1, 3-4 = 2 and 5-6 =3.
RADIOACTIVE KAIJU SUBTRACT -1 from the number of wounds, meaning that they will suffer 0-2 instead of 1-3 wounds.
In addition, the Battlefield becomes a RADIOACTIVE SLAG HEAP for the rest of the tournament.
Each succeeding Round such marked kaiju are fighting in, the chance of retribution INCREASES, ie. 1-30, 1-40 and 1-50 on the d100 roll before the battle begins.
Nuclear disarmament decrees that the chance of an unlucky kaiju getting nuked by the Russians be limited to 50% (rolling 1-50 on a d100).

A vast area of farmland, wilderness and forest, the environs of Mt. Fuji have been among the most fought over location in all of Japan. With the volcanic Mt. Fuji looming above the battlefield, there is little beyond the odd outcropping of rock or lonely foothill to provide cover for any rampaging kaiju.
Cover: Minimal (NO BONUS to Defense Rolls) and NONE for AQUATIC kaiju (-5 point PENALTY to Defense Rolls).
Homefield: Minya (GFW)
Veterans: Godzilla (Showa), Mothra (Showa), Rodan (Showa), King Ghidorah (Showa), Baragon (Showa), Manda (Showa), Kumonga (Showa), Minya (Showa), Gorosaurus, Anguirus (Showa), Hedorah (Showa), Godzilla (Heisei), Mothra (Rebirth), Grand Ghidorah, Godzilla (GFW), King Seesar (GFW), Rodan (GFW), Anguirus (GFW), Varan
Special Rules
Kilaak Base - Hidden in the rock at the base of Mt. Fuji is the Earth headquarters of the insidious Kilaaks.
Fearing that the battle may pose a danger to their operations, they summon their ‘Fire Dragon’ to drive off the kaiju. Roll d6 at the start of EACH ROUND.
On a roll of 1, the disguised Kilaak saucer arrives to provide a deadly third combatant. The Fire Dragon has a Power Number of 50 and takes 1 HIT to be destroyed.
It will NOT attack SPACE KAIJU but attacks BOTH combatants each round if they are not SPACE KAIJU. They must make a Focus Roll to determine whether to target the Fire Dragon or their opponent.
If both kaiju are eliminated by the Fire Dragon, the match is considered a draw and they are out of the tournament.
TEAM RULE: SPACE MONSTERS' team mates are spared the aliens' attention but if the opposing team does NOT include an ET, they both must make a Focus Roll to target their enemies or the Kilaak ship.

Mount Mihara
Mount Mihara
(Godzilla vs Biollante)
An active volcano is located on a small island only a few hours from the urban sprawl of Tokyo. The surrounding landscape is utterly desolate, devoid of even the most scant cover. AQUATIC kaiju may employ the surrounding waters to greater effect than their land-based kin.
Cover: None (-5 point PENALTY to Defense Rolls)
Homefield: None
Veterans: Godzilla (Heisei)
Special Rules
BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, roll a d6 to see if combat will take place outside or INSIDE the volcano.
If 1-3, the kaiju fight on the volcano's slope.
If 4-6 is rolled, both kaiju have fallen into the volcano's vent. As the battle rages, the environment becomes unstable.
After 7 Rounds, the volcano erupts, imprisoning both monsters inside. They also receive ONE WOUND.
Kaiju with LESS THAN 3 WOUNDS roll a d6 to see if they can escape. If both combatants have the same number of Wounds, they both try to save themselves.
If 1-3 is rolled, the kaiju has escaped the volcano's fury.
If 4-6, the uprushing magma consumes the monster.
If one kaiju escapes the volcano but the other doesn't, that kaiju is the winner. If both manage to escape, the fight continues in the ravaged battlefield filled with lava, poisonous fumes and smoke.
Eruption - As an active volcano, there is a chance that Mt. Mihara might erupt. If the battle is taking place ON THE SLOPES, every round AFTER THE 3rd, roll a d6:
On a roll of 1-3, the volcano explodes, showering deadly lava and poisonous fumes across the battlefield. Each kaiju will suffer ONE WOUND at the beginning of EVERY succeeding Round.
The first kaiju to suffer 3 or more Wounds than its opponent is considered to be eliminated and its foe declared the winner.
