Match 25-32 Transcripts
[Battle Master] 8:20 pm: Our first match tonight will be...
[Battle Master] 8:20 pm: 25. King of Mons vs. GINO (G: The Series)
[Battle Master] 8:20 pm: We are in all quiet mode now
[Battle Master] 8:20 pm: Match 25 is beginning
[Battle Master] 8:20 pm: Base power numbers for each are as follows:
[Battle Master] 8:20 pm: King of Mons - 87
[Battle Master] 8:21 pm: GINO (G:TS) - 15
[Battle Master] 8:21 pm: We will now factor the Cover Bonus/Penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield.
[Battle Master] 8:21 pm: Cover: Moderate (10 point BONUS to defense rolls)
[Battle Master] 8:21 pm: IT'S HOT! -- Situated in the Middle East, Baghdad is often subject to sweltering heat waves. MAMMALS and MACHINES function rather poorly due to overheating and suffer -5 DECREASE to their OPN and DPN. REPTILES, on the other hand, flourish in the baking sun and GAIN +5 to their OPN and DPN.
[Battle Master] 8:21 pm: TROOP SURGE -- The thick concentration of American military forces in Baghdad allows them to detect threats and respond with heavy and violent force. In any battle involving an EVIL or NEUTRAL monster, they enter the fray. The troops function as a third combatant with a Power Number of 25 and no Defense Rolls since tanks, infantry and helicopters crumble easily against a kaiju's wrath. The military takes 2 HITS to dispel entirely.
[Battle Master] 8:21 pm: WHEN THE BATTLE BEGINS, the military makes THREE Attacks and continues to do so each round until it receives ONE HIT. After that, it makes TWO Attacks each turn, representing tanks crushed and helicopters blown from the sky.
Each Attack is subject to a separate Focus Roll if neither kaiju is classified as GOOD. Any combatant that is not GOOD must make a Focus Roll each turn to determine whom it will attack. The military need not be defeated for a monster to win the battle.
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: We will now review and factor any special conditions provided by the Combatant Profiles:
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: King of Mons:
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 99 - Destruction Reigns - King of Mons lets loose a beam of utter destruction, devastating the foe and the landscape. In addition to dealing ONE WOUND, this attack lowers the battlefield cover by one level and destroys any battlefield effects considered HARMFUL to King of Mons FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TOURNAMENT.
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: Special Rules: Energy Ball - King of Mons is the creation of a magical energy ball, and his powers are affected by who controls it.
BEFORE THE FIRST ROUND, roll a d100 to see what has happened to the orb
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: GINO (G:TS):
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: Burrowing - GINO is able to burrow into the ground and even tunnel through solid earth. GINO always counts the amount of cover on a battlefield as one category higher (+ 5), up to the maximum of Extreme (+ 20).
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: Personal Primal Number - 16 - Deadly Intelligence - If GINO's opponent has a specific weakness, GINO has figured it out. He now uses that weakness against his opponent, dealing 2 WOUNDS. If his for has no weakness, this counts as a regular Attack.
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: Special Rule - Mother - Wherever there are monsters, there is always a chance that H.E.A.T. will show up. Roll a d10.
If EVEN, H.E.A.T. arrives. If ODD, they are investigating elsewhere.
If Nick is nearby, GINO will become more aggressive, trying to protect who it believes to be its mother. ADD +10 to GINO's power number, up to the maximum 90.
[Battle Master] 8:22 pm: Opposing kaiju now must make a Focus Roll to attack either the H.E.A.T. Seeker or GINO. The ship cannot attack but can make Defense Rolls to evade possible damage. Should the Seeker receive ONE WOUND, it sinks and GINO's next successful Attack will deal TWO HITS. The loss of its "family" also INCREASES GINO's OPN +10 (up to the maximum 90) FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE BATTLE.
[Battle Master] 8:23 pm: This modifies the power number of each kaiju to:
[Battle Master] 8:23 pm: King of Mons - Offensive Power Number - 87 Defensive Power Number - 90 (max)
[Battle Master] 8:24 pm: GINO (G:TS) - Offensive Power Number - 20 Defensive Power Number - 35
[Battle Master] 8:25 pm: We will now roll to see who takes the first turn, ODD numbers for the low vote getter and EVEN for the high scorer.
[Battle Master] 8:25 pm: The rolls is 1. GINO (G:TS) will attack first each turn.
[Battle Master] 8:25 pm: Pre-Battle Events:
[Battle Master] 8:26 pm: Energy Ball: Rolls 96--In the Public Interest - The orb has been found by an overworked and underpaid Public Works employee who ERASES KING OF MONS from existence and this year's Desumacchi. His enemy automatically wins the match!
[Battle Master] 8:26 pm: GINO (G:TS) looks around confusedly then wanders away
[Battle Master] 8:26 pm: Battle Master laughs raucously
[Battle Master] 8:26 pm: The Winner: GINO (G:TS)

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: Our next match tonight will be...
[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: 26. Orga vs. Anguirus (GFW)
[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: We are in all quiet mode now
[Battle Master] 8:36 pm: Match 26 is beginning...
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Base power numbers for each kaiju are as follos:
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Orga - 72
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Anguirus (GFW) - 28
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: We will now factor the Cover Bonus/Penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield.
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Battlefield: Fukuoka
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Cover: Heavy (15 point BONUS to defense rolls)
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: We will now review and factor any special conditions provided by the Combatant Profiles:
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Orga:
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Super Leap - Despite his awkward form, Orga is able to execute amazingly agile and powerful leaps. Orga gains a BONUS of +10 to his DPN.
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 03 - Power Munch - Orga drags his foe toward his massive jaws, using strange alien organs to drain its essence and consuming the very fabric which makes up its being. In addition to dealing 1 WOUND to his enemy, Orga is able to ASSIMILATE HIS ATTRIBUTES. The enemy kaiju CAN NOT make a Defense Roll against this attack and DEDUCTS -10 from its Power Number while Orga ADDS +10 to his own. Due to his new understanding of his foe, Orga’s enemy must RE-ROLL any successful Def
[Battle Master] 8:37 pm: Defense Rolls for the remainder of the fight.
[Battle Master] 8:38 pm: Special Rules: Alien Starship - Orga is able to exert control over the strange craft which bore him to earth. BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, roll a d6. On the roll of 1-4, his star ship is available. The alien craft will attack Orga’s foe with a Power Number equal to ½ that of Orga. The enemy must make a Focus Roll to determine which target to attack. The star ship can suffer only one HIT before being knocked out of commission. It is not capable of Defense Rolls.
[Battle Master] 8:38 pm: Anguirus (GFW):
[Battle Master] 8:38 pm: Leaping - Anguirus is able to leap great distances, out-maneuvering and confusing his foes. Anguirus ADDS +10 to his DPN.
[Battle Master] 8:38 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 13 - Flying Ball of Death - Anguirus curls into an armored ball and launches himself at his enemy. This attack causes 2 WOUNDS against which there are NO Defense Rolls. However, there is a chance Anguirus will also be injured by this kamikaze attack. Roll 1d6. If the result is 1-3, Anguirus will suffer 1 WOUND as a result of his reckless assault.
[Battle Master] 8:38 pm: Special Rules: Tenacious - Anguirus is a determined and worrisome opponent, never accepting defeat and attacking even the most awesome of adversaries with reckless ferocity. As a result of this tremendous determination, Anguirus is allowed one final attack roll AFTER he has been defeated. If he can successfully TIE THE SCORE with this attack, combat will continue. Anguirus may only use his tenacious abilities once each battle.
[Battle Master] 8:38 pm: This modifies the power number of each kaiju to:
[Battle Master] 8:38 pm: Orga - Offensive Power Number - 72 Defensive Power Number - 90 (max)
[Battle Master] 8:38 pm: Anguirus (GFW) - Offensive Power Number - 28 Defensive Power Number - 53
[Battle Master] 8:39 pm: We will now roll to see who takes the first turn, ODD numbers for the low vote getter and EVEN for the high scorer.
[Battle Master] 8:39 pm: The roll is 1. Anguirus (GFW) will attack first each turn.
[Battle Master] 8:39 pm: Pre-Battle Events:
[Battle Master] 8:39 pm: Alien Starship: Rolls 6--No effect.

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
[Battle Master] 8:48 pm: Our next match tonight will be...
[Battle Master] 8:48 pm: 27. Death Ghidorah vs. Kumonga (Showa)
[Battle Master] 8:48 pm: We are in all quiet mode now
[Battle Master] 8:48 pm: Match 27 is beginning...
[Battle Master] 8:49 pm: Base power numbers for each kaiju are as follows:
[Battle Master] 8:49 pm: Death Ghidorah - 90
[Battle Master] 8:49 pm: Kumonga (Showa) - On Fire
[Battle Master] 8:49 pm: We will now factor the Cover Bonus/Penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield.
[Battle Master] 8:49 pm: Battlefield: Crystalline Cave
[Battle Master] 8:49 pm: Cover: Moderate (10 point BONUS to defense rolls)
[Battle Master] 8:49 pm: Special Rules: BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, roll a d6 for each kaiju:
On 1-3, nothing unusual happens.
If 4 or 5, the kaiju adds +5 to its OPN.
If a 6 is rolled, the kaiju adds +10 to its OPN.
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Multiplier – If a kaiju has a BEAM weapon, it must roll a d10 BEFORE EACH ATTACK.
If 1-8, nothing happens and the attack commences normally.
If a 9 is rolled, the kaiju’s beam has hit a crystal and MISSES its target.
If a 10, the beam is shot through a crystal, doubling its power and resulting in TWO HITS on the targeted kaiju.
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: We will now review and factor any special conditions provided by the Combatant Profiles:
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Death Ghidorah:
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Flight - Death Ghidorah is capable of flying, though he is both slow and awkward in the air. As an AERIAL KAIJU, he may take the OPPOSITE Bonus for the Cover offered by a battlefield. However, he is equally able to function on the ground and can use either the listed Cover Bonus or that for being an AERIAL KAIJU.
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 64 - Wishbone - Death Ghidorah grabs his enemy with all three of his powerful jaws and pulls - in three different directions! The enemy kaiju gets one chance to escape the jaws of death. Roll a d100. On a 1-20, the opponent has escaped, sustaining 1 WOUND. Otherwise, Death Ghidorah rips it apart, dealing 3 WOUNDS and destroying his enemy!
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Special Rules: - Earthshaker - Death Ghidorah's malevolent powers cause the ground to tremble and shake, shattering the bedrock as his mystical energies summon molten magma up from the Earth's core.
BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, roll a d10 to determine the magnitude of this attack:
If "1" is rolled, the enemy kaiju is struck by a burst of lava exploding from the ground. Its Power Number depends on the battlefield Cover:
Light: 75
Moderate: 60
Heavy: 45
Extreme: 30
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Minimal or No Cover results in no attack.
The defending kaiju must roll under the attack number to defend itself. The resulting earth tremor causes such massive destruction that the battlefield Cover is REDUCED one level (-5) FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TOURNAMENT.
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Kumonga (Showa):
[Battle Master] 8:50 pm: Burrowing - Kumonga is able to burrow and even tunnel through the hardest ground. He always counts the Cover on a battlefield as ONE CATEGORY HIGHER (+5 BONUS to his DPN), up to the maximum of EXTREME (+20).
[Battle Master] 8:51 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 67 - Spider’s Bite - Kumonga delivers a poisonous bite to his foe. This deals 1 WOUND. However, IN THE NEXT ROUND, his foe will LOSE -10 points from his Power Number as Kumonga’s corrosive venom does its work. It will continue to take a FURTHER -10 on the NEXT TWO TURNS, costing the enemy kaiju -30 points in all.
[Battle Master] 8:51 pm: Special Rules: Playing Dead - Kumonga is skilled at lying low and feigning death to trick an enemy. When Kumonga gets 3 WOUNDS, roll a d100. On a roll of 1-20, the spider was simply PRETENDING TO BE WOUNDED and may immediately MAKE AN ATTACK ROLL. His enemy CAN NOT make a Defense Roll against this sneak attack. The battle then continues until Kumonga again has 3 wounds but is unsuccessful with this ploy.
[Battle Master] 8:51 pm: This modifies the power number of each kaiju to:
[Battle Master] 8:51 pm: Death Ghidorah - Offensive Power Number - 90 Defensive Power Number - 90 (max)
[Battle Master] 8:52 pm: Kumonga (Showa) - Offensive Power Number - 15 Defensive Power Number - 30
[Battle Master] 8:52 pm: We will now roll to see who takes the first turn, ODD numbers for the low vote getter and EVEN for the high scorer.
[Battle Master] 8:52 pm: The roll is 2. Death Ghidorah will attack first each turn.
[Battle Master] 8:52 pm: Pre-Battle Events:
[Battle Master] 8:54 pm: Crystalline Power Death Ghidorah: Rolls 1--Nothing
[Battle Master] 8:54 pm: Crystalline Power Kumonga (Showa): Rolls 2--No effect
[Battle Master] 8:52 pm: Earthshaker: Rolls 7--No effect
[Battle Master] 8:53 pm: Let the combat begin.
[Battle Master] 8:53 pm: Round 1:
[Battle Master] 8:54 pm: Death Ghidorah Multiplier: Rolls 9--Auto miss!
[Battle Master] 8:54 pm: Kumonga (Showa) Attack: Rolls 69--Miss
[Battle Master] 8:54 pm: After 1 round, the damage is:
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: Death Ghidorah - 0
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: Kumonga (Showa) - 0
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: Round 2:
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: Death Ghidorah Multiplier: Rolls 4--No effect
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: Death Ghidorah Attack: Rolls 23--HIT!
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: Kumonga (Showa) Defense: Rolls 55--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: Kumonga (Showa) Attack: Rolls 80--Miss
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: After 2 rounds, the damage is:
[Battle Master] 8:55 pm: Death Ghidorah - 0
[Battle Master] 8:56 pm: Kumonga (Showa) - 1
[Battle Master] 8:56 pm: Round 3:
[Battle Master] 8:56 pm: Death Ghidorah Multiplier: Rolls 6--No effect
[Battle Master] 8:56 pm: Death Ghidorah Attack: Rolls 08--HIT!
[Battle Master] 8:56 pm: Kumonga (Showa) Defense: Rolls 46--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 8:56 pm: Kumonga (Showa) Attack: Rolls 92--Miss
[Battle Master] 8:56 pm: After 3 rounds, the damage is:
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Death Ghidorah - 0
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Kumonga (Showa) - 2
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Round 4:
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Death Ghidorah Multiplier: Rolls 9--Auto Miss!
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Kumonga (Showa) Attack: Rolls 59--Miss
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: After 4 rounds, the damage is:
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Death Ghidorah - 0
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Kumonga (Showa) - 2
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Round 5:
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Death Ghidorah Multiplier: Rolls 5--No effect
[Battle Master] 8:57 pm: Death Ghidorah Attack: Rolls 11--HIT!
[Battle Master] 8:58 pm: Kumonga (Showa) Defense: Rolls 22--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 8:58 pm: Kumonga (Showa) Attack: Rolls 87--Miss
[Battle Master] 8:58 pm: Playing Dead: Rolls 80--Actually dead
[Battle Master] 8:58 pm: Combat has concluded
[Battle Master] 8:58 pm: The final damage tally is:
[Battle Master] 8:58 pm: Death Ghidorah - 0
[Battle Master] 8:58 pm: Kumonga (Showa) - 3
[Battle Master] 8:58 pm: The Winner: Death Ghidorah

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
[Battle Master] 9:05 pm: Our next match tonight will be...
[Battle Master] 9:05 pm: 28. Kiryu V.1 vs. Rodan (GFW)
[Battle Master] 9:05 pm: We are in all quiet mode now
[Battle Master] 9:06 pm: Match 28 is beginning...
[Battle Master] 9:06 pm: Base power numbers for each kaiju are as follows:
[Battle Master] 9:06 pm: Kiryu V.1 - 72
[Battle Master] 9:06 pm: Rodan (GFW) - 28
[Battle Master] 9:06 pm: We will now factor the Cover Bonus/Penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield.
[Battle Master] 9:06 pm: Battlefield: Antarctica
[Battle Master] 9:06 pm: Cover: Light (5 point BONUS to defense rolls)
[Battle Master] 9:06 pm: Frozen Wasteland - REPTILES and INSECTS are extremely sensitive to cold and function quite poorly in such frigid environs. Any REPTILE or INSECT KAIJU will suffer a PENALTY of -5 to its Power and Defense Numbers.
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: Air Battleship Gotengo - The EDF’s most powerful weapon, the Gotengo, is patrolling this area and will take part in any kaiju battle. The armored airship has a Power Number of 30 and can withstand 2 HITS.
It will attack any kaiju NOT classified as GOOD, effectively functioning as a third combatant. If both kaiju are worthy of its attentions, the Gotengo will make a Focus Roll to determine which it will attack at the end of each round.
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: ny kaiju subject to attack by Gotengo must likewise make a Focus Roll to see whether it attacks its foe or the ship.
GOOD kaiju will not attack Gotengo but keep their attentions focused on their opponent.
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: We will now review and factor any special conditions provided by the Combatant Profiles:
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: Kiryu V.1:
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: Booster Jets - Although unable to fly, Kiryu is able to execute powered leaps and jumps, giving it tremendous agility and the ability to deliver powerful body ram attacks. As a result of these bursts of speed, Kiryu gains a BONUS of +10 to his DPN.
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: Personal Primal Number - 03 - Absolute Zero - Kiryu powers up the AZ Cannon. The enemy monster has one last chance to make a Defense Roll with a special +10 BONUS to his DPN to avoid the shot. If the roll fails, the AZ Cannon hits the foe who is frozen solid, then shatters into a million small fragments. The enemy kaiju is destroyed and Kiryu wins the match.
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: Special Rules: Upgrade - After Kiryu has been defeated, roll a d100. On a roll of 1-40, it is rebuilt as the Mark 2 Kiryu, with ALL DAMAGE REPAIRED and a Power Number INCREASE of +20. The enemy kaiju must now fight this upgraded Kiryu in order to win the battle. Both monsters count as ‘fresh’ when initiating this new battle.
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: Rodan (GFW):
[Battle Master] 9:07 pm: Flight - Rodan is among the fastest kaiju and is able to fly at supersonic speeds. He counts as an AERIAL KAIJU and may take the OPPOSITE Bonus for the Cover offered by a battlefield, treating NONE as EXTREME, for example. Such is his speed that Rodan may RE-ROLL his FIRST 3 FAILED Defense Rolls in each battle.
[Battle Master] 9:08 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 13 - Shock Wave - Rodan causes vast devastation as he power dives toward his foe. In addition to causing 1 WOUND, this attack REDUCES THE COVER BONUS of the Battlefield by -5 for the remainder of the tournament. The enemy kaiju is stunned by the attack and CAN NOT make a Defense Roll. He will also FORFEIT his next turn.
[Battle Master] 9:08 pm: Special Rules: Master of the Skies - Such is Rodan’s incredible speed that very few mundane weapons can hit him.
Any time Rodan is the target of a MILITARY ATTACK such as the Super X or the Black Hole Gun, roll 1d6. On a roll of 1-4, the attack has failed to even come close to hitting Rodan. On a roll of 5-6, proceed with the normal rules for the weapon used.
[Battle Master] 9:08 pm: This modifies the power numbers of each kaiju to:
[Battle Master] 9:08 pm: Kiryu V.1 - Offensive Power Number - 72 Defensive Power Number - 87
[Battle Master] 9:08 pm: Rodan (GFW) - Offensive Power Number - 23 Defensive Power Number - 33
[Battle Master] 9:09 pm: We will now roll to see who takes the first turn, ODD numbers for the low vote getter and EVEN for the high scorer.
[Battle Master] 9:09 pm: The roll is 3. Rodan (GFW) will attack first each turn.
[Battle Master] 9:09 pm: Let the combat begin.
[Battle Master] 9:09 pm: Round 1:
[Battle Master] 9:09 pm: Rodan (GFW) Focus (EVEN Kiryu, ODD Gotengo): Rolls 6--Will target Kiryu
[Battle Master] 9:09 pm: Rodan (GFW) Attack: Rolls 35--Miss
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Kiryu Attack: Rolls 18--HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Rodan (GFW) Defense: Rolls 25--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Rodan (GFW) Defense Reroll #1: Rolls 58--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Master of the Skies: Rolls 2--Automatic miss for the Gotengo
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: After 1 round, the damage is:
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Rodan (GFW) - 1
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Kiryu - 0
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Gotengo - 0
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Round 2:
[Battle Master] 9:10 pm: Rodan (GFW) Focus: Rolls 5--Will target the Gotengo
[Battle Master] 9:11 pm: Rodan (GFW) Attack: Rolls 52--Miss
[Battle Master] 9:11 pm: Kiryu Attack: Rolls 38--HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:11 pm: Rodan (GFW) Defense: Rolls 19--BLOCKED!
[Battle Master] 9:11 pm: Master of the Skies: Rolls 5--No effect
[Battle Master] 9:11 pm: Gotengo Attack: Rolls 15--HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:11 pm: Rodan (GFW) Defense: Rolls 30—Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 9:12 pm: Rodan (GFW) Defense Reroll #2: Rolls 19--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 9:11 pm: After 2 rounds, the damage is:
[Battle Master] 9:12 pm: Rodan (GFW) - 2
[Battle Master] 9:12 pm: Kiryu - 0
[Battle Master] 9:12 pm: Gotengo - 0
[Battle Master] 9:12 pm: Round 3:
[Battle Master] 9:12 pm: Rodan (GFW) Focus: Rolls 1--Will target Gotengo
[Battle Master] 9:12 pm: Rodan (GFW) Attack: Rolls 60--Miss
[Battle Master] 9:13 pm: Kiryu Attack: Rolls 84--Miss

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
[Battle Master] 9:25 pm: Our next match tonight will be...
[Battle Master] 9:26 pm: 29. Godzilla (2000) vs. Irys
[Battle Master] 9:26 pm: We are in all quiet mode now
[Battle Master] 9:26 pm: Match 29 is beginning...
[Battle Master] 9:26 pm: Base power numbers for each kaiju are as follows:
[Battle Master] 9:26 pm: Godzilla (2000) - 66
[Battle Master] 9:26 pm: Irys - 34
[Battle Master] 9:26 pm: We will now factor the Cover Bonus/Penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield.
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Battlefield: Birth Island
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Cover: Light (5 point BONUS to defense rolls)
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Uranium Deposits - There is so much radioactive matter beneath Birth Island that RADIOACTIVE KAIJU are able to draw nourishment from it. Any time a RADIOACTIVE KAIJU rolls 01-10 either on an Attack or Defense Roll, it will also HEAL ONE WOUND previously suffered in battle.
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: We will now review and factor any special conditions provided by the Combatant Profiles:
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Godzilla (2000):
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 20 - Regeneration - Godzilla HEALS ONE WOUND previously dealt to him in the match. Such is the enormity of his regenerative powers that there is also a chance he may heal a second wound. Roll a d6. If the result is 1-2, Godzilla heals A SECOND WOUND AS WELL, should he have another injury.
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Special Rules: City Smasher - Godzilla is known for employing his explosive breath to devastate urban regions. If a battle takes place IN A CITY, Godzilla will deal horrible damage to it, even moreso than is natural for a kaiju.
BEFORE EACH ROUND, roll a d100. On the result of 1-30, the Cover Bonus offered by the battlefield is REDUCED ONE CATEGORY (-5) FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TOURNAMENT. This AFFECTS BOTH KAIJU but not AERIAL or AQUATIC foes.
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Irys:
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Flight - Irys is a very capable flier, seeming to swim through the air. She counts as an AERIAL KAIJU and may take the OPPOSITE Bonus for the Cover offered by a battlefield, treating NONE as EXTREME, for example.
[Battle Master] 9:27 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 03 - Leech - Irys is able to stab one of her tentacles into her foe. She immediately CAUSES ONE WOUND and also DRAINS THE SPECIAL ABILITY of her enemy, GAINING his Personal Primal Number! Irys will retain this extra ability FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TOURNAMENT.
[Battle Master] 9:28 pm: If her enemy's PPN is the same as hers, it will assume THE NEXT CLOSEST NUMBER available to her. Once Irys has absorbed an enemy's ability, they may still try to use it against her by rolling their PPN. Irys simply gains the ability but does not take it away from her foe. She may never drain normal Primal Numbers from a foe.
[Battle Master] 9:28 pm: Special Rule: - Ambush - Irys is an expert at distracting her foes and then attacking from an unexpected quarter
with her tentacles. BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS and after battlefield events have been resolved, Irys may try to make an ambush attack by rolling 1-3 on a d6. An Ambush Attack is made with a BONUS of +20 to Irys' Power Number as her enemy isn't expecting it.
[Battle Master] 9:28 pm: If she HITS, roll the d100 die. If she rolls 1-10, Irys will also be able to LEECH (see above) their power. After the Ambush Attack has been resolved, Irys will revert to her normal Power Number, losing the +20 bonus points.
[Battle Master] 9:28 pm: This modifies the power number of each kaiju to:
[Battle Master] 9:28 pm: Godzilla (2000) - Offensive Power Number - 66 Defensive Power Number - 71
[Battle Master] 9:28 pm: Irys - Offensive Power Number - 34 Defensive Power Number - 44
[Battle Master] 9:29 pm: We will now roll to see who takes the first turn, ODD numbers for the low vote getter and EVEN for the high scorer.
[Battle Master] 9:29 pm: The roll is 1. Irys will attack first each turn,.
[Battle Master] 9:29 pm: Pre-Battle Events:
[Battle Master] 9:29 pm: Ambush: Rolls 3--SUCCESS!
[Battle Master] 9:29 pm: Irys Ambush Attack: Rolls 81--Miss
[Battle Master] 9:29 pm: Let the combat begin
[Battle Master] 9:29 pm: Round 1:
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: Irys Attack: Rolls 65--Primal Number!
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: 65 - (Gamera) - The kaiju pauses to protect an annoying Japanese boy wearing short pants from some falling debris. Not only does the kaiju FORFEIT its Attack and Defense Rolls this Round but its enemy gains a BONUS to hit the distracted kaiju on its next turn, SUBTRACTING -10 from its dice roll.
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: Godzilla (2000) Attack: Rolls 01--CRITICAL HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: 01 - (Critical Hit) - The kaiju deals *2* points of damage against its opponent. This CAN NOT be defended against.
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: Irys has been dealt two wounds
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: After 1 round the damage is:
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: Irys - 2
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: Godzilla (2000) - 0
[Battle Master] 9:30 pm: Round 2:
[Battle Master] 9:31 pm: Irys Attack: Rolls 55--Miss
[Battle Master] 9:31 pm: Godzilla (2000) Attack: Rolls 51--HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:31 pm: Irys Defense: Rolls 47--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 9:31 pm: Combat has concluded
[Battle Master] 9:31 pm: The final damage tally is:
[Battle Master] 9:31 pm: Irys - 3
[Battle Master] 9:31 pm: Godzilla (2000) - 0
[Battle Master] 9:31 pm: The Winner: Godzilla (2000)

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
[Battle Master] 9:43 pm: Our next match tonight will be...
[Battle Master] 9:43 pm: 30. Gyaos (Hyper) vs. Titanosaurus
[Battle Master] 9:43 pm: We are in all quiet mode now
[Battle Master] 9:43 pm: Match 30 is beginning...
[Battle Master] 9:44 pm: Base power numbers for each are as follows:
[Battle Master] 9:44 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) - 90
[Battle Master] 9:44 pm: Titanosaurus - 15
[Battle Master] 9:44 pm: We will now factor the Cover Bonus/Penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield.
[Battle Master] 9:44 pm: Battlefield: Ogasawara Island (Monsterland)
[Battle Master] 9:44 pm: Cover: Light (5 point BONUS to defense rolls)
[Battle Master] 9:44 pm: Monster Containment - Ogasawara is specially designed to contain monsters and limit their destructive instincts and actions. As such, the island’s defenses have a limiting effect on the kaiju kept there.
At the start of the match, each kaiju will roll a d6 to determine what effect these efforts by the staff at Ogasawara have on them:
1. The kaiju is very weak. REDUCE its Power Number -10.
2. The kaiju has become confused and disoriented. All Attack Rolls are made with a +5 point PENALTY.
[Battle Master] 9:44 pm: 3. Repeated attempts to break through the defenses have worn down the kaiju. It starts the battle suffering ONE WOUND.
4. The defense mechanisms of the island interfere with the kaiju’s special abilities. The kaiju’s Special Rules are NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
5. The defense mechanisms render the kaiju TOO WEAK to employ its Personal Primal Number.
6. Despite their best efforts, nothing the scientists do can weaken this kaiju. It suffers no ill effects and will fight the match as usual.
[Battle Master] 9:45 pm: We will now review and factor any special conditions provided by the Combatant Profiles:
[Battle Master] 9:45 pm: Gyaos (Hyper):
[Battle Master] 9:45 pm: Flight - Gyaos is able to fly at Mach 3.5 and able to perform intense aerobatic maneuvers even at top speed. It counts as an AERIAL KAIJU and may take the OPPOSITE Bonus for the Cover offered by a battlefield, treating NONE as EXTREME, for example. Such is their agility that Hyper Gyaos may RE-ROLL its FIRST 3 FAILED Defense Rolls in each battle.
[Battle Master] 9:45 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 97 - Snack Time - Gyaos breaks away from the combat to gorge itself on slow-moving spectators. This gruesome repast HEALS ONE WOUND but the Gyaos loses its turn to attack.
[Battle Master] 9:45 pm: Special Rules: Low Mana - Due to the Desumacchi having so many battles this year, several kaiju have had to drawn on the Earth's lifeforce. AFTER 6 ROUNDS, conditions are ideal for additional Gyaos eggs to hatch and join their kin. Roll a d100. On the roll of 1-10, ANOTHER GYAOS arrives on the battlefield with a Power Number -10 points LESS than the original. Only ONE HIT is required to destroy this or any additional Gyaos.
[Battle Master] 9:45 pm: The enemy kaiju must make a Focus Roll between the original Gyaos and any others that have been drawn to the Battlefield. Only by defeating the original Gyaos can the enemy kaiju win the match.
At the beginning of the FOLLOWING ROUNDS, again roll, with 1-20 bringing an extra Gyaos. ADD +10 to the chances of the Gyaos hatching each round after.
[Battle Master] 9:45 pm: Titanosaurus:
[Battle Master] 9:45 pm: Aquatic - Titanosaurus is much more at home in the water than he is upon dry land, being able to breathe underwater and swim at great speed. On any battlefield with a large body of water, Titanosaurus counts the Cover Bonus as EXTREME (+20 to his DPN).
[Battle Master] 9:46 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 75 - Whirlwind Assault - Using his massive fan-tipped tail, Titanosaurus knocks his foe across the battlefield. This results in ONE WOUND and the enemy kaiju must FORFEIT ITS NEXT ATTACK. In addition, the enemy suffers an attack due to being battered against the terrain itself. Using the Cover Bonus of the battlefield for the Power Number, the foe is attacked a SECOND TIME with no Defense Roll possible on either of these attacks.
[Battle Master] 9:46 pm: Special Rules: Peaceful Dinosaur - Titanosaurus is by nature a peaceful, passive creature, goaded into battle only by the commands of the mad Dr. Mafune and his cyborg daughter. BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, roll a d100. On the result of a 1-10, Dr. Mafune's control is temporarily broken. Left to his own inclinations, Titanosaurus wants no part in any fighting and happily skips from the battlefield (and the tournament), forfeiting the match to his would-be foe.
[Battle Master] 9:46 pm: This modifies the power number of each kaiju to:
[Battle Master] 9:46 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) - Offensive Power Number - 90 Defensive Power Number - 90 (max)
[Battle Master] 9:46 pm: Titanosaurus - Offensive Power Number - 15 Defensive Power Number - 35
[Battle Master] 9:46 pm: We will now roll to see who takes the first turn, ODD numbers for the low vote getter and EVEN for the high scorer.
[Battle Master] 9:47 pm: The roll is 3. Titanosaurus will attack first each turn.
[Battle Master] 9:47 pm: Pre-Battle Events:
[Battle Master] 9:47 pm: Peaceful Dinosaur: Rolls 71--No effect
[Battle Master] 9:47 pm: Titanosaurus Containment Roll: 2--The kaiju has become confused and disoriented. All Attack Rolls are made with a +5 point PENALTY.
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) Containment: Rolls 6--Despite their best efforts, nothing the scientists do can weaken this kaiju. It suffers no ill effects and will fight the match as usual.
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Let the combat begin.
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Round 1:
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Titanosaurus Attack: Rolls 74--Miss
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) Attack: Rolls 32--HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Titanosaurus Defense: Rolls 92—Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 9:49 pm: Sonic Weakness: Rolls 4--No effect
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: After 1 round, the damage is:
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Titanosaurus - 1
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) - 0
[Battle Master] 9:48 pm: Round 2:
[Battle Master] 9:49 pm: Titanosaurus Attack: Rolls 86--Miss
[Battle Master] 9:49 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) Attack: Rolls 30--HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:49 pm: Titanosaurus Defense: Rolls 11--BLOCKED!
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: Sonic Weakness: Rolls 1--EXTRA WOUND!
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: After 2 rounds, the damage is:
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: Titanosaurus - 2
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) - 0
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: Round 3:
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: Titanosaurus Attack: Rolls 10--HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) Defense: Rolls 49--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) Defense Reroll #1: Rolls 48--Unsuccessful
[Battle Master] 9:50 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) Attack: Rolls 11--HIT!
[Battle Master] 9:51 pm: Titanosaurus Defense: Rolls 67--Unsuccessfu;l
[Battle Master] 9:51 pm: Sonic Weakness: Rolls 5--No effect
[Battle Master] 9:51 pm: Combat has concluded
[Battle Master] 9:51 pm: The final damage tally is:
[Battle Master] 9:51 pm: Titanosaurus - 3
[Battle Master] 9:51 pm: Gyaos (Hyper) - 1
[Battle Master] 9:51 pm: The Winner: Gyaos (Hyper)

[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: Our next match tonight will be...
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: 31. Rainbow Mothra vs. Baragon (GMK)
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: We are in all quiet mode now
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: Match 31 is beginning...
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: Base power numbers for each are as follows:
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: Rainbow Mothra - 90
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: Baragon (GMK) - 15
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: We will now factor the Cover Bonus/Penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield.
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: Battlefield: Third Planet from the Black Hole
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: Cover: Moderate (10 point BONUS to defense rolls)
[Battle Master] 9:55 pm: Armageddon: BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, roll a d6. This is the maximum number of Rounds the battle can continue beyond the 6th Round before the planet is sucked into the black hole.
If combat has not concluded in time, both combatants are eliminated from the Desumacchi.
[Battle Master] 9:56 pm: We will now review and factor any special conditions provided by the Combatant Profiles:
[Battle Master] 9:56 pm: Rainbow Mothra:
[Battle Master] 9:56 pm: Flight - Mothra is among the most agile and swift (Mach 15.5) flying kaiju, capable of bursts of blurring super-speed, taking even a wary foe by surprise. She counts as an AERIAL KAIJU and may take the OPPOSITE Bonus for the Cover offered by a battlefield, treating NONE as EXTREME, for example. Such is her agility that Mothra may RE-ROLL her FIRST 3 FAILED Defense Rolls in any match.
[Battle Master] 9:56 pm: Personal Primal Number (Rainbow Mothra): - 97 - All Out Assault - Rainbow Mothra releases a barrage of her various beams at her opponent. She makes 3 Attack Rolls at -10 her Power Number for which there are NO Defense Rolls.
[Battle Master] 10:00 pm: Special Rules: To Save the Earth - When Mothra has received TWO WOUNDS, she may attempt to transform into Lightspeed Mothra to go back in time to begin the Armor Mothra transformation. Roll a d100.
On a roll of 1-70, Mothra Leo FAILS and misses her next turn.
On a roll of 71-90, she uses the Seal of Elias to instantly deal ONE WOUND to her foe and the battle continues.
On a roll of 91-100, she has returned as Armor Mothra with a +20 INCREASE to her PN.
[Battle Master] 9:56 pm: The battle BEGINS ANEW, Armor Mothra and her opponent healing all wounds.
Should she prevail, Mothra will begin her next battle as Rainbow Mothra, having returned to her default form after vanquishing her foe.
[Battle Master] 9:56 pm: Baragon (GMK):
[Battle Master] 9:56 pm: Burrowing - Baragon is able to burrow into the ground and even tunnel through solid earth. He always counts the amount of Cover on a battlefield as ONE CATEGORY HIGHER (+5 BONUS to his DPN), up to the maximum of EXTREME (+20).
[Battle Master] 9:56 pm: Leaping - Baragon is able to leap great distances, out-maneuvering and confusing his foes. He gains a BONUS of +10 to his DPN for this ability.
[Battle Master] 9:57 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 03 - Pitfall - Baragon digs a concealed hole beneath the surface of the battlefield for his foe to fall into. The enemy kaiju is unable to strike against Baragon on its next turn which is FORFEITED. The foe also CAN NOT attempt a Defense Roll against ending up in the hole. In addition, Baragon's Attack Rolls are -20 off the dice to reflect the ease with which he strikes at his confined enemy. His opponent CAN NOT attempt a Defense Roll against and Attack while in the pi
[Battle Master] 9:57 pm: This modifies the power numbers of each kaiju to:
[Battle Master] 9:57 pm: Rainbow Mothra - Offensive Power Number - 90 Defensive Power Number - 90 (max)
[Battle Master] 9:57 pm: Baragon (GMK) - Offensive Power Number - 15 Defensive Power Number - 40

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
[Battle Master] 10:08 pm: Our final match tonight will be...
[Battle Master] 10:08 pm: 32. King Joe (Heisei) vs. Godzilla (Kiryu)
[Battle Master] 10:08 pm: We are in all quiet mode now
[Battle Master] 10:08 pm: Match 32 is beginning...
[Battle Master] 10:09 pm: Base power numbers for each kaiju are as follows:
[Battle Master] 10:09 pm: King Joe (Heisei) - 53
[Battle Master] 10:09 pm: Godzilla (Kiryu) - 47
[Battle Master] 10:09 pm: We will now factor the Cover Bonus/Penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield.
[Battle Master] 10:09 pm: Cover: None (5 point PENALTY) to defense rolls
[Battle Master] 10:09 pm: BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS, roll a d6 to see if combat will take place outside or INSIDE the volcano.
[Battle Master] 10:10 pm: The roll is 6. The battle is taking place inside the volcano
[Battle Master] 10:10 pm: After 7 Rounds, the volcano erupts, imprisoning both monsters inside. They also receive ONE WOUND.
Kaiju with LESS THAN 3 WOUNDS roll a d6 to see if they can escape. If both combatants have the same number of Wounds, they both try to save themselves.
If 1-3 is rolled, the kaiju has escaped the volcano's fury.
If 4-6, the uprushing magma consumes the monster.
[Battle Master] 10:10 pm: If one kaiju escapes the volcano but the other doesn't, that kaiju is the winner. If both manage to escape, the fight continues in the ravaged battlefield filled with lava, poisonous fumes and smoke.
[Battle Master] 10:10 pm: We will now review and factor any special conditions provided by the Combatant Profiles:
[Battle Master] 10:10 pm: King Joe (Heisei):
[Battle Master] 10:11 pm: Personal Primal Number: - 99 - Power Overwhelming - King Joe uses his exceptional strength to crush his foe. In addition to immediately dealing ONE WOUND, King Joe's opponent must immediately make a defense roll. If the role is a failure, the opponent suffers A SECOND WOUND, and forfeits its next turn. However, if the defense roll succeeds, the opponent has broken free of King Joe's grasp and may make an immediate attack on King Joe.

God, Toonzilla vs. King of Mons was so hilariously epic.

That was AWESOME. And considering King Joe lost, too, I'm sure Orga's ecstatic right now.

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
I guess the Pendans never expected KJ to have to fight in a volcano.
Yeah, King of Mons never had a chance.
Gotta give Baragon credit. He really gave it his all.

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
Wow. What is it with these upsets lately? It's starting to look like we won't need to devote a special tournament to the weaker monsters. At the rate they're going, this one's going to come down to Toonzilla vs Showa Seesar or something equally stupid.

King Joe losing...awesomeness.
I'm actually a little sad to see King of Mons lose. He would have made for some good debates.

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
What happened to King of Mons was hilarious, yes. But it's a real low-blow to those who voted for him. Talk about getting screwed in your DD debut.

First Zetton... then Monster X... and now King of Mons. Something screwy's going on here.

Re: Match 25-32 Transcripts
Haha, I love the outcome of these matches!
Godzilla takes down King Joe, Hell yes . Rainbow Mothra beams Baragon to death, though he did put up one hell of a fight. Gyaos takes down Titanosaurus, not cool. Godzilla 2000 Beats Irys, and Kiryu beats Rodan. Death Ghidorah and Orga win their matches as expected, and Toonzilla beats King of Mons (didn't really care who won that one).
