4. Rodan (Showa) vs. GINO (G:TS)
(Toon GINO tied with Titanosaurus in Round Two but had a lot of good points mentioned in his favor)

Re: 4. Rodan (Showa) vs. GINO (G:TS)
As much as i love Showa Rodan, Toon GINO's faced off against worse things, especially some nasty fliers. And GINO's a bit more up-close and personal/physical than Showa Goji was whenever they met.
I'm leaning GINO right now.

Re: 4. Rodan (Showa) vs. GINO (G:TS)
After watching toonzilla in action recently I really have to question his ability to beam many kaiju. This guy is routinely hurt by conventional weapons, which have drawn blood and knock him around.
So yeah, I'm pretty sure Rodan can beat him...not that he will, but it is possible.

Remember, Hybrid, there are no beams here in this tournament. This is a hand to hand battle only. As of right now, I too abstain.

Re: 4. Rodan (Showa) vs. GINO (G:TS)
Well I can't really think of anything that Rodan can do to really hurt Toon GINO. As much as I like the original Rodan, he didn't really have much going for him. Sure he's a fast flyer, but Toon Gino's pretty damn fast on his feet, and can tunnel underground in like two seconds, thus negating some advantages of Rodan's (hurricane winds, etc.). Also Toon GINO has a good reach and isn't above jumping onto opponents, something Showa Goji and other Showa enemies never did.
Rodan is also taken down by his own tendencies. As I've said before in various match-ups with him, he loves to try and get up close and personal with his opponents so he peck their face or try and kick em or pick them up. Which I'm sorry to say is gonna be counter-productive against an opponent like Toon GINO who's more than willing to try and pounce an enemy with his considerable jumping skills.
Which is why I'm leaning Toon Zilla.

Really? GINO is hurt by tanks and missiles, which draw blood. BLOOD.
And then cause him to retreat.
In GTTHM, Rodan drops Godzilla from several hundred feet onto a tower, tosses rocks around, pecks at Godzilla's face, kicks Ghidorah in the head, and then lures Ghidorah into one huge body slam in mid-air.
Rodan is fully capable of winning this fight, because GINO's durability sucks.

I'm talking the GINO from the cartoon series. That's what G:TS stands for. Otherwise known as Toon Zilla. He always seemed to be a bit more durable than his father.
Get with the game Hybrid

Yeah, but military attacks also hurt Gamera monsters. So it's not like Toonzilla is any less durable than them, and we don't automatically discount them in these fights, now do we? Like the Gamera Kaiju, Toonzilla doesn't tank hits, he tries to evade them.

Re: 4. Rodan (Showa) vs. GINO (G:TS)
Quite honestly, I think Toon GINO can totally win this. Sure, Rodan's capable, but like SuperXAsh said, GINO has fought much worse. He fought a robot version his own Dad, for goodness sake (Yes, I watched the show )

The weapons in the Gamera universe are insanely powerful too. Do you see some of the explosions that result on the kaiju in the Heisei films? To be fair though, I don't really remember how powerful they are in the GTS, so I cannot fairly debate the point.
