Re: Kaiju Cameos on TV!
I forget it's name, but in one episode of Class of 3000, Godzilla and Mothra both appear several times as they destroy the city.

Re: Kaiju Cameos on TV!
There was another Billy and Mandy episode that featured the trio running across a giant chicken and its young, with several scenes paralleling GINO (radiation being the cause, discovering a giant footprint, stumbling upon a massive nest, the mother getting enraged at the invaders of the nest). I also thought it was amusing that the "monster" used to parody GINO was quite literally, a big chicken.
There was also some weird Rankin-Bass Santa Claus movie (not Rudolph or the one with the Ice and Heat Misers), that involved this wizard guy with an army of monsters. The dragon had been taking singing lessons from Rodan.

A recent Jeep ad shows the vehicle driving through several famous moments in cinematic, television and sporting history. Among those is the scene from Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster where the Big G is being attacked by planes.

Re: Kaiju Cameos on TV!
In the YIN YANG YO episode, "Scary Scary Quite Contrary", Yin, Yang, and Master Yo run into a monster called King Pyong, the 300th Wonder of the World.
In the episode, "Woo-Foo Flu", when a Woo-Foo warrior catches the flu, one sneeze can alter reality. In one scene, Yin and Yang sneezed and they all turned into kaiju. I could not identify what Yin was, but Yang was Godzilla and Carl the Evil Cockroach Wizard was Mothra.

Godzilla may be a lot older than we thought. Check out this pic:

Recent studies show the possibility that Atlantis lies a little West of Gibraltar, close to the Pillars of Hercules, as described by Plato. Geologists have discovered that the submerged island of Spartel was destroyed 12,000 years ago by a massive earthquake, followed by a tsunami. The size of the island and the failure to dig up any manmade structures make it unlikely that Spartel was Atlantis, but have given the academic world a much needed boost. Plato described the city state of Atlantis as lying close to the Mediterranean, destroyed in a single day and night. Theories have varied on the cause of Atlantis' destruction. Many have put forward the idea of a tremendous earthquake that caused a tsunami, while others argue the Atlanteans possessed technology and weapons of great power that caused their own downfall. Now I put forward my own theory. After trawling through long lost documents, I discovered a drawing from the 18th century that clearly depicts Atlantis prior to its death. To the left of the picture is the image of a great lizard. I let you draw your own conclusions.

Re: Kaiju Cameos in film and television
There was kaiju being spoofed in the cartoon YIN YANG YO.
In the episode, "Scary Scary Quite Contrary", Master Yo takes Yin and Yang into scenes for horror films of his generation wiht a magic remote. (Mostly there were in black and white.) In one scene he takes them to a movie called KING PYONG: THE THREE-HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD. When they meet the title monster, the see a large marrionette of the moster being pulled by cranes. Luckily they weren't scared.
Now that's what they want to make people think about how Kong was portayed in 1933, but it is actually making fun of his 1976 portrayal.
In the episode, "Finding Herschel", Carl the Evil Cockroach Wizard is watching a documentary about the Scorpion-Rock. If you offended it, it will sting you and turn you into a giant evil super monster! A lizard gets stung and turns into Godzilla (a mixture between the classic Show version and the dreaded Hanna Barbera version). A turtle gets stung and turns into Gamera.

Re: Kaiju Cameos on TV!
New Pokemon Movie with Dialga and Palkia seems to use sound effects of Heisei Ghidorah and GMK Baragon for the dueling Space and Time Dragons. Fitting considering Palkia's resemblance to SpaceGodzilla.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl uses G54 and G2K's roars as part of Palkia's sound effects (along with Boga from Star Wars)

Re: Kaiju Cameos On Film & Television
In the UNDERDOG episode, "Fearo", the whole thing is a spoof of the original KING KONG.
There is one part where a monster rises out of the sea to terrorize the ship where Polly Purebred and Underdog are travelling.
The dinosaur's roar sounds exactly like an elephant! Perhaps it is inspired by the popularity of Godzilla.
As for the rest of the episode, a lot of scenes spoof the original, like the Stegosaurus scene.
Here are some scene from this episode.

"Grabs a train as if it were a toy!"

Re: Kaiju Cameos On Film & Television
Newest episode of "Scooby Doo Mystery Inc" (which itself is a damn good reboot of a mostly mediocre franchise) was a nice extended homage to War of the Gargantuas, complete with "The Words Get Stuck in My Throat"

Re: Kaiju Cameos On Film & Television
Most everybody knows that Baragon and Gamera both popped up in episodes of Dragon Ball, but did you know so did Rodan & Ghidorah.
Ghidorah in episode 096 - Tail's Tale
Rodan in episode 152 - Mystery of the Dark World

Not really a cameo, but a hilarious reference on the show Supernatural.

Re: Kaiju Cameos On Film & Television
Not sure of these have been said already, but I know of a couple examples. The super Mario super show had a giant mechanical monster that got brainwashed into thinking his parents were Koopas. It was an obvious reference to Godzilla.
Not a cameo, but I loved that one Saturday night live sketch where Chris Farley plays an American who accidentally wound up on a Japanese Game show. Mike Myers is the Japanese host, and he says a bunch of Gibberish followed by "Godzilla" as one of the questions. Hilariously Chris Farley is like "Godzilla?" wondering what on Earth the host was saying, and coincidentally gets the question right. Only to see the other contestant get their questions wrong and chop off their fingers.

Re: Kaiju Cameos On Film & Television
I always love it when I spot Godzilla toys in the background. This one's from an episode of 'Werewolf,' the 1987 television series.
Also, here's a curious sighting in that it wasn't in the original cut of the film it was contained in. In Highlander 2: The Quickening the villain arrives to Earth on a subway, and the first individual he addresses won't speak to him. The subway goer in question is too busy watching Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla to care, and the villain is angered that he can't ellicit a response and tosses him to the ground. Interesting to note, all of the audio from that clip was removed, and the dialogue replaced with "It's Godzilla!" Somehow in the future dubbing is even worse. Here's the cutaway to the film clip:
If you're wondering why it looks so odd, it's because it's a POV shot. The subway rider is actually watching it on his eyepiece:

It's amazing that the cutaway shot explaining what the device on his face does was cut from the initial theatrical release, mostly because it's the only reason provided for that blank stare. Still, nothing else makes sense in the movie. . . God, why do I love it so?

Re: Kaiju Cameos On Film & Television
So I was checking out an underrated video game, Wild Guns, when I noticed a familiar site to one of the levels:
Hmmm, now what does this remind me of?
Did Wild Guns inspire Yonggary? Eh, probably not. I still laughed at the coincidence, though.
