Re: Cryptozoology
Look, there's nobody who'd rather have some irrefutable evidence of Sasquatch, Nessie, or any of their ilk turn up than me. But the fact of the matter is that the world's a lot smaller now than it was a hundred or even fifty years ago. With technology and population expansion both measured in geometric scales, the odds of something like them turning up on land are slipping further and further down. By now we would have had more to go on than the occasional blurry picture to fall back on if there was a race of seven foot bipeds sharing our continent.
The monsters of the future will come from the ocean depths.

Re: Cryptozoology
I believe all the way through of strange, undiscovered beasts, Jersey Devil, Bigfoot, Nessie, the Mokele Mbembe(I think that is the spelling) but in all of them I can find rational explanation for the beasts remaing, "cryptozoological". The world of man may be expanding in this day and age to multiple places, but there are still areas of the world that remain unexplored, but those are the places that these beasts could exist.
The Jersey Devil (which I believe is a species of animal) lives in the pine barrens, which contain an imense amount of space, would in fact offer supple room for an entire species to hide.
Loch Ness is very deep an may have underwater channels to the ocean(where I think plesiosaurs like Nessie came from) where she could swim into the lake then feed off of fish.
And Bigfoot, the continent of NA is huge, and it would be very easy to hide in this continent.

Tonight on Coast To Coast AM, various experts will be getting together around 1:00am, EST, to discuss the latest findings, and tech used in the pursuit of Bigfoot. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2011/03/29

Re: Cryptozoology
I've always loved cryptozoology. One of the many mysteries of the ocean that has always intrested me was The Bloop ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloop ).
Funny thing is,I'm not too greatly intrested in BigFoot,or the Dover Demon,or any other crypto from the land. I'm more intrested in the cryptos from the water.
Nessie
Ogopogo
The Bloop
They intrest me more, because they are harder to find, thus making them more intresting.

Re: Cryptozoology
I personally love cryptozoology. Some of the things that really interest me are the Rods (strange, rod like things with weird wings occasionally caught on video), the cattle killers (unknown creatures in north america that suck the blood from cattle sort of like the chupacabra) and of course the chupacabra. People cannot agree on what these creatures are or even what they really look like, but that only makes trying to solve the mystery more interesting.

Re: Cryptozoology
Check out this video that's been creating quite a buzz on the World Wide Web, and even the news programs( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Omyy...59FOAAAAAAANAA ). Spotted and filmed in a below sea-level glaicer lake in Iceland. This, well, freaky looking serpent was sighted swimming in the beforementioned lake. Skeptics believe that the bugger is a discarded fishnet that's collected a fair share or garbage. Which accounts for its girth. But dagnabbit, that thing looks like it's creating a fair sized wake with its own power. Thoughts ?

Re: Cryptozoology
Maybe it's just that the alleged creature's form of locomotion differs from what we're used to, but the movement just didn't look deliberate to me. It's possible that this is "the genuine article", but it wouldn't shock me if other factors were going on to propel whatever it was.

Re: Cryptozoology
Here's another one I heard about last night on Coast To Coast AM. A video of what looks like a real life Whooly Mammoth fording across a river in Siberia.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...n-Siberia.html
Although, that "trunk", could be a fish hanging from the mouth of a bear. I can't quite tell, but as the camera stays longer on the animal, the appendage does in fact look like a part of the animal in question.

Re: Cryptozoology
The Iceland serpent I'm not so sure about, but that 'mammoth' is definately a bear with a fish hanging out of its mouth. This echoes the recent hoax perpetrated in Russia regarding the Almas.

Re: Cryptozoology
Wow, I might not have noticed it right away on my own, but yeah, that is clearly a bear with a fish. Of course, can't really expect anything from the Sun to be accurate.

Re: Cryptozoology
Hey, check out tonight's episode of Coast To Coast AM(http://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2012/06/24). The subject of tonight's show doesn't deal with a mysterious creature particularly, but a series of odd dissappearances at our national parks and forests that the forest service seems to bury their heads in the sand on. The guest, David Paulides, was on plugging his book, MISSING 411( http://www.nabigfootsearch.com/missing_411.html) back in March, will be on again talking about these vanishings. I practically stayed up the whole night this guy was on talking about this thing. Check it out if you can.
