Default Fight 01.

[T_Durden] Our first fight tonight will be...
[T_Durden] 01. Majin vs. Megaguirus

[T_Durden] We are in an all-quiet mode right now
[T_Durden] Fight 01. is beginning...

[T_Durden] Base power numbers for each are as follows:

[T_Durden] Majin - Offensive Power Number - 50
[T_Durden] Majin - Defensive Power Number - 50

[T_Durden] Megaguirus - Offensive Power Number - 50
[T_Durden] Megaguirus - Defensive Power Number - 50

[T_Durden] We will now factor the cover bonus/penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield...

[T_Durden] Battlefield: Kyoto
[T_Durden] Cover: Moderate - 10 point bonus to defense rolls

[T_Durden] Megaguirus counts as an aerial kaiju and always takes the opposite of the cover provided for by a Battlefield.
[T_Durden] Opposite Cover: Light - 5 point bonus to defense rolls

[T_Durden] Special Rules: None

[T_Durden] This modifies the Defensive Power Numbers for each to:
[T_Durden] Majin - 60
[T_Durden] Megaguirus - 55

[T_Durden] We will now review & factor any special rules provided by Combatant Profile...

[T_Durden] Majin: The God of Wrath
[T_Durden] Before the battle, Majin rolls a d10. On a roll of 1, he employs his godlike powers to transport both himself and his foe from the battlefield chosen for them to Majin's Mountain.
[T_Durden] Majin is considered a 'good' kaiju for purposes of the Mountain's special rules while ANY enemy he faces there is considered an 'evil' kaiju.

[T_Durden] Megaguirus: Flight
[T_Durden] Such is her speed that she may reroll her first three failed Defense rolls in any match.

[T_Durden] Megaguirus: Meganula Swarm
[T_Durden] Before the battle, the enemy of Megaguirus will be attacked by a swarm of the small but deadly Megaluna dragonflies.
[T_Durden] This relentless and vicious assault is resolved as three separate attack rolls with a Power Number of 20. Any wounds suffered by the enemy kaiju will be carried over into the battle itself.

[T_Durden] Megaguirus: Sensitive to damage
[T_Durden] Megaguirus is a very fragile monster. Whenever she is hit, in addition to suffering a wound, her Power Number is decreased by 5 points.

[T_Durden] Pre-Battle Events:

[T_Durden] Majin's Mountain...
[T_Durden] Majin Rolls: 10 -- No Transportation

[T_Durden] Meganula Attack...
[T_Durden] Meganula Attack #1 - Rolls: 58 -- Miss
[T_Durden] Meganula Attack #2 - Rolls: 42 -- Miss
[T_Durden] Meganula Attack #3 - Rolls: 74 -- Miss

[T_Durden] Megaguirus has a Russian deathmark on her head and thus invokes the 'Revenge of the Russians'
[T_Durden] Roll a d100
[T_Durden] On a roll of 1-5, the Russians have fired a nuclear missile at the kaiju from an orbiting weapons platform.
[T_Durden] Naturally, a nuke is going to obliterate a large enough area that both the kaiju the Russians are targeting and its adversary will be affected.
[T_Durden] Russians: Roll 29 -- No Launch

[T_Durden] We will now roll to see who takes the first turn.
[T_Durden] Since both are tied in votes, Majin will be odds and Megaguirus will be evens...
[T_Durden] Rolls is 3, Majin will go first

[T_Durden] Let the combat begin.

Default Fight 02.

[T_Durden] Our second fight tonight will be...
[T_Durden] 02. Barugon vs. Rodan (Showa)

[T_Durden] We are in an all-quiet mode right now
[T_Durden] Fight 02. is beginning...

[T_Durden] Base power numbers for each are as follows:

[T_Durden] Barugon - Offensive Power Number - 62
[T_Durden] Barugon - Defensive Power Number - 62

[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa) - Offensive Power Number - 39
[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa) - Defensive Power Number - 39

[T_Durden] We will now factor the cover bonus/penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield...

[T_Durden] Battlefield: Mondo Island
[T_Durden] Cover: Light - 5 point bonus to defense rolls

[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa) counts as an aerial kaiju and always takes the opposite of the cover provided for by a Battlefield.
[T_Durden] Opposite Cover: Moderate - 10 point bonus to defense rolls

[T_Durden] Special Rule: Sea Snake
[T_Durden] This applies to neither kaiju in this fight...

[T_Durden] This modifies the Defensive Power Numbers for each to:
[T_Durden] Barugon - 67
[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa) - 49

[T_Durden] We will now review & factor any special rules provided by Combatant Profile...

[T_Durden] Barugon: Hostile Terrain
[T_Durden] Lakes, oceans, rivers. Barugon's reaction to bodies of water is extreme - he will suffer a penalty of -20 to his Power Number if involved in a battle that takes place near any extremely large bodies of water.
[T_Durden] This modifies Barugon's OPN to 42 and DPN to 47

[T_Durden] Barugon: Long Range Attack
[T_Durden] Barugon is the sniper of the kaiju world. Even before an enemy lays eyes on him, Barugon knows they are coming and will attack them.
[T_Durden] Before the first round of the battle, roll for Barugon's Rainbow Beam. It has a Power Number of 40. If the Beam hits, Barugon's enemy will start the fight already suffering 1 wound.

[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa): Flight
[T_Durden] Rodan is among the fastest kaiju and is able to fly at supersonic speeds. Such is his speed that Rodan may re-roll 3 failed Defense rolls in each battle.

[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa): It Has a Mate!
[T_Durden] Before the battle begins, Rodan rolls a d10. On a roll of '1' he does not come to the fight alone - his mate has accompanied him! The enemy kaiju must fight both Rodans, each with Rodan's full Power Number.
[T_Durden] The enemy must make a focus roll to determine which Rodan it will fight. Rodan's foe needs only eliminate one of the Rodans to win the battle, it does not need to deal 3 wounds to both monsters.

[T_Durden] Pre-Battle Events:

[T_Durden] Barugon Sniper Attack...
[T_Durden] Barugon Rolls: 08 -- Hit!
[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa) will begin battle with 1 damage as a result of the Rainbow Beam attack

[T_Durden] Rodan Mating Call...
[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa) Rolls: 4 -- No Answer

[T_Durden] Barugon has a Russian deathmark on his head and thus invokes the 'Revenge of the Russians'
[T_Durden] Russians: Roll 12 -- No Launch

[T_Durden] We will now roll to see who takes the first turn.
[T_Durden] The roll is 6. An even number indicates that the high vote getter recieves first turn.

[T_Durden] Let the combat begin.

[T_Durden] Round 1:

[T_Durden] Barugon Rolls: 41 -- Hit!
[T_Durden] Rodan (Showa) Defense: Rolls 21 -- Successful!

Default Fight 03.

[T_Durden] Our third fight tonight will be...
[T_Durden] 03. Irys vs. Gamera (Heisei)

[T_Durden] We are in an all-quiet mode right now
[T_Durden] Fight 03. is beginning...

[T_Durden] Base power numbers for each are as follows:

[T_Durden] Irys - Offensive Power Number - 54
[T_Durden] Irys - Defensive Power Number - 54

[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) - Offensive Power Number - 46
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) - Defensive Power Number - 46

[T_Durden] We will now factor the cover bonus/penalty and any special rules provided by the Battlefield...

[T_Durden] Battlefield: Infant Island
[T_Durden] Cover: Light - 5 point bonus to defense rolls

[T_Durden] Irys is an aerial kaiju and so gains the opposite defense bonus for the cover provided by a Battlefield - treating 'None' as 'Extreme', for example.

[T_Durden] Gamera counts as an aerial kaiju, and may take the opposite bonus for the cover offered by a Battlefield. However, Gamera is equally able to function on the ground, and so will use either the normal cover bouns or the bonus for being an aerial kaiju.

[T_Durden] Opposite Cover: Moderate - 10 point bonus to defense rolls

[T_Durden] Special Rule: Uranium Deposits
[T_Durden] This applies to neither kaiju in this match

[T_Durden] This modifies the Defensive Power Numbers for each to:
[T_Durden] Irys - 64
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) - 56

[T_Durden] We will now review & factor any special rules provided by Combatant Profile...

[T_Durden] Irys: Ambush

[T_Durden] Irys is an expert at distracting her foes and then attacking them from an unexpected quarter with her tentacles.
[T_Durden] Before the first round of combat, but after Battlefield events have been resolved, Irys may try to make an ambush attack by rolling 1-3 on a d6.
[T_Durden] An ambush attack is resolved with a bonus of 20 to Irys' Power Number (her enemy isn't expecting the attack, so she gains a bonus). In addition, if she hits, there is a 1 in 10 chance that she will be able to drain their power, just as if Irys had rolled her own PPN.
[T_Durden] After the ambush attack has been resolved, Irys will revert to her normal Power Number, losing the bonus 20 points.

[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) - Mana Beam
[T_Durden] Against the most lethal of enemies, Gamera may become desperate enough to employ the Mana Beam to overcome them. If Gamera's foe is 'Evil' and its Power Number is at least 20 points higher than Gamer'a own, Gamera may try to destroy it with the Mana Beam.
[T_Durden] While Irys is classified as 'Evil', her Power Number is not at least 20 points greater than Gamera (Heisei)

[T_Durden] Therefore this rule does not apply to this match

[T_Durden] Pre-Battle Event:

[T_Durden] Irys Ambush...
[T_Durden] Irys: Rolls 6 -- No Attack

[T_Durden] We will now roll to see who takes the first turn.
[T_Durden] The roll is 2. An even number indicates that the high vote getter recieves first turn.

[T_Durden] Let the combat begin.

[T_Durden] Round 1:

[T_Durden] Irys Attack: Rolls 31 -- Hit!
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) Defense: Rolls 45 -- Unsuccessful

[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) Attack: Rolls 71 -- Miss

[T_Durden] After 1 round the damage is:
[T_Durden] Irys - 0 Damage
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) - 1 Damage

[T_Durden] Round 2:

[T_Durden] Irys Attack: Rolls 88 -- Miss

[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) Attack: Rolls 18 -- Hit!
[T_Durden] Irys Defense: Rolls 19 -- Unsuccessful

[T_Durden] After 2 rounds the damage is:
[T_Durden] Irys - 1 Damage
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) - 1 Damage

[T_Durden] Round 3:

[T_Durden] Irys Attack: Rolls 07 -- Hit!
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) Defense: Rolls 48 -- Unsuccessful

[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) Attack: Rolls 54 -- Miss *Universal Primal Number*
[T_Durden] 54 - (Original Godzilla) - The kaiju manages to surprise its foe with an unexpected attack. Regardless of whether this attack was a hit or miss, the kaiju may immediately make another attack.

[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) Extra Attack: Rolls 01 -- Critical Hit!
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) deals 2 damage to Irys
[T_Durden] There is no defense against a Critcal Hit

[T_Durden] Combat has concluded.

[T_Durden] The Final Damage is:
[T_Durden] Irys - 3 Damage
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei) - 2 Damage

[T_Durden] The Winner:
[T_Durden] Gamera (Heisei)

[T_Durden] Anguirus (GFW): Tenacious

Gamera finally gets revenge on Irys for the Tag Team Tourny, very nice to see

And even nicer to see Final Ang finally go down

Looks like Pyras is out of favorites in this tourny. All must bow to Gigan! Master cyborg!

I wasn't at all surprised to see Gamera pull a new move out of his butt to defeat Irys.

I truly wish I hadn't missed the first two fights. They look like they were the more interesting of the four...

Heh. Majin reigns supreme.

Wow, Gamera DID win While I wasn't entirely sure he could take down Gamera in a realistic fight, I was quite sure that the dice would favor Irys. The dice gods do indeed have a sense of humor

Oh man! Megaguirus had an even shot at beating Majin and lost. Damn.

Irys may have lost to Gamera, but that's cool. I like Gamera just as much as Irys.

Rodan is no in loss in my mind, but Anguirus......good run for your first tourney!

Here's hoping Majin gets Barugon next round and that the Russians nuke them!

Not too dissapointed with the results. Gamera once again relied on luck and help to win against Irys, proving once again who is superior in combat.

Meh, megs lasted as long as could be expected, which is quite a while so I'm not disappointed.

Sides, she came very close to beating majin. Still doesn't mean I don't wanna see that posessed pavement be blown away in a BIG way though!
