Another vote for G'85.
The Super-X theme, ol' Goji's music... all very good.
And the American version (if I recall correctly) had an awesome ending theme.

I think it was Japanese as well. The american version added the screech at the end while he's falling into the volcanoe.

I am torn between Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla and Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah. I probably would have to go with Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah.

I pretty much like all of the Heisei series soundtracks (I even agree with you guys about how cool the G84 music was), but if I had to pick a favorite, I'd go with Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. It had a very nice blend of classic themes, combined with some awsome new themes (I LOVE the Super MG theme! )

I think Godzilla 1985, that movie had a diverse range of music that really helped the movie along.

They all have great music, and naturally Ifukube's music comes out on top. After him is likely Koroku with the TROG score and Hattori's GvsSG score, although Sugayama's GvsB music is also nicely done, but some songs, like 'Bio Wars', doesn't do much for me.

The only song I can even begin to like there is Birth Island. Other than that, it is all mediocer.

Reijiro Koroku did the music for The Return of Godzilla or Godzilla 1985. I wonder why he didn't do other Godzilla movies. I love how his score had this "Huge" sound to it. Like it was played by a huge Orchistra or something. That's the way Godzilla music should be played!

In reply to Rodan70: Amen.
I wouldn't mind at all if Koroku scored the 50th. And yes, why didn't he score any otherfilms? Is he dead?
