The Quintaglio Ascension Trilogy

Just outta curiosity... has anybody here read the Quintaglio Ascension Trilogy, by Robert J. Sawyer?

It's a very intriguing book series... it's about a moon revolving around a far distant planet, inhabited by dinosaurs transplanted there 65 million years prior by aliens. The dominant species on the dinosaur moon are a race of highly evolved, sentient Tyrannosaurs called the "Quintaglios". The main character is an apprentice astrologer named Afsan, sort of the Quintaglio counterpart to Galileio.

The series consists of the following books: "Far Seer", "Fossil Hunter" and "Foreigner". They're wonderful books, IMO, the kind you only discover once in a blue moon. The sort you can read over and over and not get tired of... the story is great, and the continuity is tight; each book flowing seamlessly into the next, while also each standing well on their own as self contained stories. The characters are well rounded and rock solid, rich with depth and development. Despite being dinosaurs, they felt more "human" to me then most human characters I've read. The books are deep and allegorical, with an underlying theme of Science vs Religeon, Reason vs Emotion, standing up for your beliefs, etc...
