I recently got a copy of Hitman 2 for my PC, reluctantly. I remember playing the demo of the first Hitman on my PC a few years back, and loved it. I've seen some commercials for this sequel, but as commercials tend to do, they alter the image of what this game really is. Cars zooming through gates, boats, explosions... all cutscenes were used in the commercial and really made me think this was just gunna be a stupid action game.
Good thing I was wrong! The main point of each mission is to assassainate your target, whoever that may be. (your employers targets will vary, and you don't care why they want that person dead, you're in it for the cash.)
But to get to your target, and how you do him in is where the game shines.
Are you going to just run into his mansion and shoot it out with all the guards?, and there sure are alot more of them then there are of you! Or perhaps kill one lone patrolling guard outside, take his outfit, and gain entrance to his mansion with everybody else thinking you're a guard. The way you do in your target can also be stealthy or just a plain simple shooting. Once you've gained entrance to his room, and he's all alone.. you can hit the sneak button and tip toe your way behind him, and strangle him to death or slit his throat. or take a less suspicious approach, and put in some poisonous fogu blowfish meat in his sushi!
Extremely fun and the number of ways to accomplish each of the 25 or so missions adds many many hours of gameplay and experimentation. Anybody played this series? I believe the 3rd installment just hit stores, so i'm sure SOMEBODY here has played one of the games.
