This is sort of a "What If" thread. But instead, the question is along the lines of "Will there be *blank* in a Godzilla film?" or "Will there ever be *blank* done at Toho".

A person will post a question, then other members will give what they think the answer is. There isn't any "right" or "wrong" answer, it is all a matter of opinion.

But I do ask one "rule": that there be NO two post in a row with just questions.

Will there ever be a Japanese Godzilla movie directed or written by a non-Japanese?

Now, for my questions....

Will Toho ever finally make "Super Godzilla vs. Bagan"?

Will Gigan ever get to appear in a good movie for a change?

Will there ever be a continuation to the Showa or Heisei continuities?

Will there ever be a true crossover between Godzilla movies and any other famous franchises (i.e., Godzilla vs. Aliens, Godzilla vs. Superman, etc.). Note: "King Kong vs. Godzilla" doesn't count, as that wasn't the real King Kong from the original movie.

Since according to Toho legalese Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah are seperate franchises, this has technically already happened. But with a non-Toho property? Don't hold your breath. We should have had Godzilla vs. Gamera ages ago.

Yeah, that's true. I had my mind a little too set on the piles of cat feces that are "Godzilla vs. Megalon", "Godzilla: Final Wars", and that damned Zone Fighter episode

Another question- We all talk about the Showa monsters returning in new movies, but how about the Heisei monsters? Will we ever see the likes of Biollante, Battra, or Spacegodzilla in any future movies (whether they be Heisei continuations, or redone versions of them in new continuities)?

I would say yes. Eventually, someone would see the uses for either Battra or Biollante in another film. I think they will be redone versions, but I think that they will re-appear.

Now, for Space Godzilla, I would say most likely not. Destroyah might have a slightly better chance.

A "Godzilla vs Bagan" is a more likely possibility than "Super Godzilla".

I highly doubt Destroyer will appear again, and I would hope he doesn't. He was one of those kaiju who made his impact one good time, and doing it again, even in another continuity, would be overkill.

Some have suggested that Destroyer could be redone without any connection to the oxygen destroyer this time around, and to that I say "WHY??". The creature being a living embodiement of the OD was the whole friggin' point behind the monster, and if you're going to take that away, you might as well just create a whole new kaiju instead of trying to pass it off as a new version of Destroyer.

Very true. I would say Space Godzilla will also be a one shot pony, but I think that at some point, a head honcho at Toho will want to use it again.

Will there ever be a 100 million dollar gross for a Japanese Godzilla film in the future?

But didn't Don Frye own in that movie?

Anyways will Toho have good realistic, not completely cheesy dialogue in their movies?

That would be a no, first of all American audiences are really interested in Godzilla anymore. Second the copyrights are all screwed up, but it doesn't stop the design from being used possibly in a Toho film.
