Stan Lee's Who Wants to be a Superhero?
Though I generally despise reality TV, I am actually checking this out. Personally, I've been laughing my *** off. I don't know if it's supposed to be funny, but I am laughing just the same.
Thoughts?

Re: Stan Lee's Who Wants to be a Superhero?
Regrettably, I missed the latest episode but I agree, the show has its charm. The superhero theme is finally something I can get into and the players are people I can get fairly into. Alot of them really know how to get into character. I LOVE how captain whatever makes thet gesture at the pigeons! He really knows who he is right now.
I'm going to keep watching this one.
And best of all, the winner's chaacter is going to be in a sci-fi original! I know, most of them are bad but come on, even if it is a cheapy, that's not a bad prize!

I think this is definetly a love it or hate it kinda show, but if you for some reason dislike the show or it's characters the second ep was hoot cuz you got to see them get mauled by dogs.

And their own comic as well, I don't know if it will be a one shot or an ongoing series though. But IMHO, the pickings are rather slim from a creative standpoint. I know that it's almost impossible to come up with something original in the comic book industry anymore but seeing the auditions were almost frightening.

Oh trust me, originality is far from difficult. With sci-fi, it may be but personally, I've always found it to be quite easy.

I read a lot of them were professional actors, which might explain that. What? You thought reality TV was real?

I liked the last episode where the Iron Enforcer became the Dark Enforcer.

Re: Stan Lee's Who Wants to be a Superhero?
I've been watching... With a few exceptions, I'm not usually much of a reality TV fan either. But it's sure funny to watch, haha. I was, however, disapointed that when the Iron Enforcer became the Dark Enforcer, he didn't get to keep his gun. I mean, his whole "too evil" prob from the start was his big gun that he used to kill people- and yet, when he turns villain, he loses the gun entirely?

It's amusing, but I can't really watch it for too long.

Re: Stan Lee's Who Wants to be a Superhero?
we're gonna get the series from iTunes. fortunately the first episode was free, which i got really just to see which 12 made it into the final cut. my disappointment is that the 2 that went were the ones i liked. there's still Feedback and Lemura that one can take seriously. Major Victory, Creature, and Dark/Iron Enforcer need to go IMO. actually, i'm tempted to start rooting for Fat Momma, after her display with the kid in the Pilot, and maybe just to spite the losers who want to cut down on obesity in the media "for the sake of the children." the morons who turned Cookie Monster into Carrot Monster need to die.

Re: Stan Lee's Who Wants to be a Superhero?
While I too despise all reality shows with a passion, I can't help but watch this... it's fun, different, and interesting... even if it's a little on the silly side.
That Captain Victory guy (the dude in the red) is hilarious and fun to watch. His mannerisms and little one-liners and what-have-ya are just a blast to watch. Specially when he just randomly pulls them out of nowhere.
I'm hoping that one Lemuria (or however you spell it) chick wins though.

Me as well, Lemuria seems like the only one out of the bunch of contestants that could pass off as a semi-tolerable hero (since the winner does get its own comic series and sci-fi original movie). I mean...Cell-Phone Girl? No thank you...

Actually, Cookie Monster is still himself. The "Cookies are a sometimes food" song was only sang to him by Hoots the Owl and he still was stuffing his face after it. Also, Cookie Monster pretty much eats everything, from food that's probably actually good for him, to an entire pickup truck.
