i just found out about the forums here closing and wanted to announce in the wake of this that myself and a few of the other KP members have been working on a site now for quite some time...its address is www.kaijutopia.com and it has forums there. its a fledgling site...im still working on it but as i said there are forums and it would be great to breathe some life into the site. while i wanted there to be more to see before i made the announcment well that just isnt possible anymore as i would lose contact with many of you. so please DONT expect a new kp but if your willing to come and grow with me and my crew (ill let them introduce themselves if they wish) well then come on over because i promise IN THE NEAR FUTURE to have things youve never seen before. im proud of the site so far and maybe this will just prompt me to finish it quicker!!! so please come join our forums and we can watch it grow together!!! every site has to start somewhere and i know we will wow you with what we have in store.

Well I just joined, did a ridiculous amount of posting too.

I think it looks great myself, I like the website design, the film strips at the sides is a nice touch.

Hey, come on now, there is no reason why your site can't grow along side KP. It's never been my intention to dominate the internet kaiju fandom, and I love when new sites pop up. Watching the other large kaiju sites go away over the years has been really hard to take, but seeing new ones with great potential come into existence helps offset that.

BTW, I love what you have so far. The graphics are nice, the layout is logical and non-cluttered, and it looks lilke your original content (KBG & Project Time Quake) will be awesome as well.

really it was meant in no way to compete with KP..but i do wish i would have read the rest of the page before announcing! lol that will teach me. theres no much there yet but ill have more time to put a rush on it now. i really want it to have a different energy and vibe than KP does and it doesnt mean i still wont frequent kp even when its done.

so thanks for the support and please keep checking back to the site because there will be as promised things you have never seen before so be sure to check it out

Ok, don't mind if I do. I'm a Moderator on the forums by the same name as here, and will be creating and handling KaijuTopia's Godzilla section (remember the forever-in-the-making "Godzilla Data Base?" ). Which, btw Matt, I'm hoping to have something to show for it by the end of Dec.
