Best Daimajin DVDs?
There are quite a few Daimajin DVDs out there. If any of you know what ones are the best in quality in Region 1.

Re: Best Daimajin DVDs?
The most recent re-released versions from ADV are the best to come out on Region 1.

Re: Best Daimajin DVDs?
ADV released a 3-disc set several years ago. Here is my review:
http://www.digitalmonsterisland.com/complete_daimajin.html
All three films are uncut, in non-anamorphic widescreen, and Japanese w/ English subs.
More recently, ADV re-released the films individually. These versions were digitally remastered, and in anamorphic widescreen. Unfortunately, Wrath Of DaiMajin was cropped from its original 2.35:1 aspect ratio, down to 1.85:1 (reasons unknown).
All of ADV's versions are now out of print. Last month, Retromedia released The Giant Majin Collection, a double feature of the first two films. They're in fullscreen, and dubbed in English.
For widescreen, subbed versions of the entire trilogy, I would recommend looking around for ADV's releases. Since they're OOP, let price and availability determine whether you get the 3-disc set or the remastered versions.

Re: Best Daimajin DVDs?
Thanks. I've always wanted to see these, and possibly buy them. I just wanted to make sure I don't get jipped, and get the best R1 DVD's.
