Battlefield:
Los Angeles
The dense smog in the area hinders any non-mechanical kaiju (or Hedorah). Any kaiju fighting here gains the HtH Combat status (does not effect the exemptions).

...
HOw very singular.
One of the few Kaiju who can get up the speed to where Zigra's ray makes no difference.
And sicne this battlefiedl nulls Zigra's ray entirely, he's sorta... toast.

Yes.
Zigra is too slow, and Anguirus too much.

Lesse, if memory serves, Zigra is pretty much entirely immobile on land. Ang isn't.
Zigra gets splattered.

Re: 31. Zigra vs. GFW Anguirus
Uh, guys, LA is a coastal city. Meaning Zigra just might have access to the ocean if he's close enough. And he'd definetly win if he could do that. But, yeah, as long as he's on the land, Anguirus would take this.

I keep seeing Ang rolled up in a big spiky ball with assorted Zigra chunks stuck to it for some reason...

How? The only way I can see that happening is if he grabs Ang and drags him underwater, Barugon style. That'd take a lot of luck for the largely immobile Zigra to outmuscle GFW Angurius. Unless he caught Ang while Ang was on some incredibly large docks and looking straight down into the water, of course.

Why would he need to drag him underwater? Since they're engaged in combat, why wouldn't Ang follow him?

Now that's just silly. Ang wouldn't follow because he isn't aquatic. Why the hell would he pursue his foe into an environment that's clearly lethal to him?

Because why would Anguirus let Zigra do ANYTHING? Zigra cant do really much of anything to Ang, and unless Ang just stand there and goes "hurrrr....", he isnt going to get the chance to move from the middle of the city out to the bay.

Yeah, you're right. But, your analysis that Zigra is 100% helpless is a little off. Zigra has a beam that can paralyze Anguirus with a single hit. Ang would be down for the count if that happened. The only problem is that Ang is probably too fast to let Zigra hit him with the beam.

Uh huuuuuhhh....
Yeah, no offense to your fishy friend there, Zig, but Zigra's paralysis ray kinda..... sucks... It took repeated shots, each one with at least a second's worth of exposure before Gamera lost his ability to move. Plus, Gamera kinda just stood there and let it happen.
That's really not very impressive, if you ask me. I'd imagine Anguirus could shrug it off, even if he got hit by a shot or two for a couple of seconds.

No, as we've examined before, Gamera was writhing around in the first hit. Zigra only hit him repeatedly to be cruel.

Yes but A: Showa Gamera is hardly one to take alot of pain, and B: It looked to me as though he could've recovered quickly had he not been hit several more times.

Look, Ill have to take your word for it: that movie was so bad, I could barely get through it.
The banality was overpowering; and that was when I was seven.

What the hell are you talking about?
Not that the ray causes pain, so far as we know. It didn;t cause those humans much agony.

Good thing ol' Ziggy can fire his ray without any visible charge time, then, isn't it?
I'm not gonna say Zigra wins this fight, but if he tags someone with that ray, they WILL be paralyzed.

Maybe 'stress' would've been a better word.

Course the fact that it works so slowly prettymuch counteracts that little advantage.

Look... take some nausea medication, sit down with that festering pile of a movie, and watch it again.
He rapid-fires that thing, and Gamera does SQUAT after the first shot hits him.
It does not work slowly.
At all.

YOU need medication, I'm actually tough enough to sit through it on my own.

I may have been exagerating somewhat, but I can safely say Gamera wasn't doing a whole lot to begin with. If it grazes Anguirus while he's hopping about, I don't see it causing a whole lot of trouble.
