General Maximus (Gladiator) vs. King Leonidas (300)
Two badasses of ages long past square off, one-on-one, in a glorious fight to the finish.
RULES: Neither combatant has any outside aid. Both are fully armed and armored.
BATTLEFIELD: A field, no more, no less.
Will Leonidas dine in hell tonight? Or will Maximus fall dead into shadows and dust?
Ready...FIGHT!

Hokay.
ALlowign that both were presented as unbelieveable badasses... we never saw Maximus display the battlefield stamina Leonidas did.
HOWEVER.
When you say fully armed and armored, what do you mean, exactly?
Maximus used all manner of hardware in his (crappy) movie.

'Eh...
The armor thing is a bit odd, since, ya know, Leonidas didn't *HAVE* any...
Just a shiled, spear, and sword.

If Maximus gets his Gladiator armor, this is pretty much over. Why? Well, it's damn hard to slice through metal..

Eh, just to even things out a bit, we'll say that Maximus just has a simple tunic. Which isn't armor, but whatever, him having armor would be an instant win.
As for weaponry, how's one sword each sound?

Re: General Maximus (Gladiator) vs. King Leonidas (300)
A sword apiece, huh?
Well, they had Maximus using (anarchronistically) Filipino forms when he had a sword in hand, whiel Leonidas (using one of those oddly-shaped Greek swords) seemed to be more into chopping and dicing. Taken from that perespective, Maximus SHOULD have the edge.
Thing is, Leonidas didn;t screw around as much in his swordplay and got right to the killing. Maximus did a lot of flashy crap.
Leonidas.
