I just rewatched a few parts of Gigan. In the above quote you mention that Godzilla's strength and Titano's are about the same, thus you conclude that he could beat ghidorah (as you say Godzilla did). The problem with this is that in gvsgigan we clearly see Ghidorah's gravity bolt (note: only ONE) hit Godzilla and he crashes to the ground. If their strangth (Titano and G) are about the same then I would have to conclude based on logic you have provided that this would also occur to Titano. In fact, we know Titano will just hit the ground and roar, much like is shown in the movie.
And Ghidrah's beams have much more devastating force than anything Showa Godzilla has ever put forth. Buildings explode on impact, and it appears to me that the gravity bolts carve into their targets until they erupt in a violent and devastating explosion. I also note that Ghidorah has taken Godzilla's beam and shrugged it off, much like Titano COULD NOT do.
