The bottom of the ocean is so cold that movement still isn't going to give you necessary warmth. You'll still be freezing.

Did Goji move at the bottom of the ocean? I remember him being at the surface most of the time in that particular movie.

He's moving around it in both GvKG and G&M:BFE, in his, y'know, normal not-superheated Meltdown mode.
If he could take it there, he can most certainly take it while Burning.

Just something from earlier.
Cretaceous King Ghidorah DIED due to the volcano he was dropped in. That's nothing to be ashamed of, but he didn't live, unlike this Godzilla, who walked out of an erupting volcano without a scratch, after living in it for 5 years.
Burning Godzilla wins the match though. GKG has beams around the same power-level as his Heisei counterpart, according to some members (and film evidence as well). The wing lightning will piss him off, and the gravity beams will hurt him but any damage would be *instantly* regenerated (Destroyah's laser horn anyone?)
Godzilla's beam will just keep getting stronger and stronger, to the point where the incredible heat of the beam will severely hurt GKG.
And in close combat, Godzilla manhandles, no, PIZPWNS GKG, who has shown no physical strength whatsoever. Throwing Mothra and stomping on her is not impressive compared to tossing a Ghidorah (who's the same size as GKG) head-over-tails and hurling a massive mech several hundred feet away using his wrists alone.
In addition, nobody has brought up the nuclear pulse. In a tight situation, if Ghidorah gets too close, the nuke pulse would be deployed. (A stretch, but a possible one, would be that the nuke pulse would disrupt the scales' light-reflecting property [which forms the shield]; after all, Heisei King Ghidorah's scales withstood Godzilla's atomic spew fine until the nuke pulse, which might indicate that the nuke pulse adversely affected HKG's scales).

Hmmm, I was getting my history messed up in ROM 3, sorry lol, you are correct. But GKG is a complete different story than his CKG counterpart remember. Like I said with the heat thing, GKG's scales were meant to reflect a TON of heat.

I'll never understand why people assume that his powerlevel is similar to heisei king Ghidorah's. GKG literally incinerated buildings and tore Mothra to shreds with his beams. HKG's beams never had that effect.
Btw, Goji's wounds didn't look that regenerated after Dessy horned him.

OMG that is an utter crock of crap, sorry Yargh. GKG was strong enough to throw Mothra around with ease, and he easily withstood massive assaults form Armor Mothra. I think that is pretty good physical strength. Godzilla is not going to do much to something that Armor Mothra didn't do much to. Grand Ghidorah actually has strong armored skin.

As i said, their scales are different. GKG's scales reflect energy I don't know how the nuclear pulse would damage him too severally. The kinetic force may knock him over, but it won't fry him like it did with HKG and Mothra in the Heisei series.

Re: 01. Burning Godzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah
EM, ROM Mothra is noted for many things: super strength on Hesie Goji's level is NOT one of them.
Nor are her beams as good, or should that be, as HOT as this one.
To be honest, I can't come up with a good way for GKG to win this...every attack he sends out will be ignored/instaregened, yet every attack against him will stay.
Oh, and GKG didn't resist Armor Mothra's assault. He was ripped apart by it.

The physical assault yes, but the beam did diddily squat. And don't get me into that apsect, cause everytime I mention AM gainin energy over millions of years, you act like it never really happened.

Partial battle of AM and GKG.
I think the video speaks for itself in regards to GKG withstanding AM's attacks.

I'm pretty sure I notice that AM gained energy over millions of years.
Hell I've stated as much myself.
But, yeah, KGK was torn apart by AM who out classed him in every single way.

Re: 01. Burning Godzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah
I must say that I read the first part of this thread with pure shock.
COME ON, PEOPLE! You know better than this! No matter how cold Antarctica is, it WILL NOT stop, reverse, or appreciable slow down a nuclear meltdown that is already in progress.
Not to mention that Godzilla has been in meltdown mode since what? Round two? Even if the cold could slow down the meltdown, Godzilla's already been melting for so long that he's going to be in uber mode when the fight begins.

If we went by that then Goji well reached his limits of 1200 degrees. Traveling around the world fighting kaiju does that. So no. We assume that he starts as he did in GvsD and then eventually gets stronger as the fight goes on.
And the cold of Antartica is outragious. Some spots go to -120 degrees F. And if they are fighting at night.... And I didn't say that the cold will hinder him to the point of uselessness, but the air temperature WILL keep him cooler and at least prevent him from going postal like he did against Destroyah. And the beams of Burning Goji, especially the early ones, will be negated by the shield. The same shield that blocked Rainbow Mothra's deadly arsonal including beams that tossed Dagarah away like he was weightless. And when Armor Mothra's beams did hit him, there was NO DAMAGE and he wasn't even slowed down. Considering that the Shield is capable of blocking Rainbow Mothra's beams shows how strong AM's beams are and yet they didn't do anything either.
Not only that but GKG took massive punishment and kept coming at Armor Mothra. he may have been outclassed, but he was still fighting until AM finally had to pull out the Transending Fate to finish him off. EM touched on the physical strength of Mothra Leo so I don't have to elaborate on that.
But since GKG isn't going to get into a physical contest with BG, he won't be taken down. And since Burning Godzilla will at least be kept at a more controlled level of temp, I don't see GKG having to deal with things like the Meltdown Spiral blasts like Des had to deal with at the end of the fight.
I really think GKG is being underestimated here (which is odd in its self.)

What? GKG's beams are a whole lot stronger than Heisei Ghidorah's. They DEMOLISHED Rainbow Mothra when Dagarah's and Death Ghidroah's impressive weaponry never scratched her. And the buildings were demolished more impressive than any other Ghidorah out there. I never really got that rumor at all that GKG's beams were only as strong as Heisei Ghidorah's.

Re: 01. Burning Godzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah
This bout is going to be Insane.
Though Grand Ghidorah is the second powerful kaiju in the Ghidorah family, its going to have a hard time trying to take down this version of Godzilla. It might be a different verson of Godzilla's battle with Destoroyah, only that its foe doesn't have any arms.
If Godzilla were to even have the chance to goe for close range, he'll might be able to take Ghidorah by suprise with his atomic pulse, but its doubtful he'll take Ghidorah down with just one pulse.
This is very hard, but for now I'll lean in Godzilla's favour. Another factor is the Gotengo, in dice terms. If Godzilla (GFW) was able to be taken down by it and MOGUREA, then either one would have alot to deal than each other.
Either way, one of them is going to the finals for a second time.

Movement might not, but an internal nuculer reaction will. I'm unsure how much the cold in Antartica will slow Godzilla down. Does anyone remember just how cold the Super X3's beams were? -120 degrees degrees doesn't seem like much when you consider that Goji's meltdown was going to make a hole to the center of the earth.
Again though I have to wonder about the effects of all that heat on the ice underfoot.

Some spots get to -120 degrees F in winter. And isn't that 1200 degrees Celsius? I don't think -120 degrees Farenheit is going to do much.

I suppose it would matter on where on Antartica the fight is taking place.
But mainly, no way is Antartica going to affect Godzilla's body temperature the same way the missiles did, or slow him down at all.
If he was at the botttom of the ocean, he would have a greater chance of "slowing" down, because of the way that water absorbs heat. It takes a good amount of energy to warm water. And look what Godzilla did to most of the Bering Sea. Antartica is going to do squat.

Re: 01. Burning Godzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah
1. Cold blooded or not, Godzilla is a large animal that does NOT easily lose heat.
2. No Godzilla, Heisei or otherwise, has ever been adversely affected by the cold. And Burning Godzilla's body is signifigantly hotter than any other Godzilla's.
3. Cadmium and ULT beams operate very differently from sheer frigidness.
4. Grand King Ghidorah never displayed any signifigant melee capability.
Donny, my lapdog could throw Leo around with ease. In case it weren't immediately apparent, Leo is NOT a particularly large or heavy creature.
Anyway, I see Godzilla taking the first round of gravity beams like a big baby, then getting up and more or less totally ignoring any usage of them after that. Prettymuch the same way he reacts to all beams.

The Cretaceous Ghidorah did display signifigant melee ability. GKG didn't really need it, since he was more powerful in the modern time.
The lapdog things is a tad of an exagguration though.

I don't recall Heisei Goji being exposed to cold climates, except in GvsD when the Super X-3 attacked him. And obviously, the cold affected him profoundly, even though the Super X-3 is on a bit higher scale than climate.

Re: 01. Burning Godzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah
The Antarctica battlefield has led to a rather entertaining debate in place of what might have been a blowout fight.
However, I'm starting to lean toward the position that the ambient temperature of Antarctica is not going to slow Godzilla down that much.
No, what really makes this battlefield interesting is the presence of the Gotengo. It's essentially up to them who wins. Because whoever they shoot at first with the freezing ray--especially with the ambient temperature--loses.
That is it.
You can say "Obviously they won't get a shot off because they suck too much." You can say "Obviously they fire at Godzilla first because he'll destroy the whole planet." You can say "Obviously they'll fire at King Ghidorah first because he'll destroy the whole planet AND they like Godzilla more." But whichever of those scenarios you advocate, it still comes down to Captain Gordon deciding the match. And it's not very likely that GODZILLA and KING GHIDORAH will notice the Gotengo and destroy it before they start tearing into each other.

He's right. Without beams, Leo would be mauled by just about any decently sized canine. I should know, we have dogs in *spades,* and nothing in ROM3 indicates that Leo would stand a chance physically.

Re: 01. Burning Godzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah
A few things that must be pointed out:
1. Godzilla's temperature only matters because once he reaches meltdown temperature, he goes boom.
2. The cold will not, repeat, will NOT stop him from melting down.

Nuclear engineers and technicians precisely control the amount of fission taking place by inserting control rods (upper left) into the fuel assembly (red box). The rods are made of a substance that readily absorbs neutrons, like graphite or cadmium. When things get too hot, technicians lower a few control rods into the core. The rods sop up some of the ricocheting neutrons, and the fission process slows down.
|
The cadmium, combined with freezing temps will only LIMIT the severity of the meltdown. Without the implemenation of cadmium, nothing will stop Godzilla from continuing to heat up, especially once battle ensues. Yes, the cold will slow the process, but not nearly enough to save GKG from a terrible onslaught. Whats more, the temperature of Anartica varies so we have no idea how much it will truly effect him. An idea, yes, but nothing conclusive to tip the scale in GKG's favor.
What's more, most people aren't even debating GKG's ability to beat Godzilla - they are fighting over a really bad fever.

Re: 01. Burning Godzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah
I think that Godzilla would manage to soak through GKG's barrage, and his beam would, if not at first, eventually get through that shield and he would be in a world of hurt.
