All you fellas worried about Iran had better be really worried here. Pakistan is heading towards collapse. Bad enough. An opposition leader got blown up. Even worse. The real kicker....
Pakistan has nukes. Musharraf already cracked down, but chose to crack down on the opposition instead of the Islamists. He may regret that a helluva lot in the next few months.
Pakistan borders Afghanistan. A collapse could lead to a mass resurgence of the Taliban there. Pakistan also borders Iran and China. The former, not so much of a threat to a nuclear-armed state. China, OTOH, has every bit of a reason to be scared of the potential collapse of a state to its west.
Considering what the PRC has done to Chinese Muslims, and that this collapse may embolden any potential rebellions in Red China, that is even worse.
Worst of all, though, is what does India do? A large nation on the border with Pakistan, fought multiple wars, has a claim on a region that it could easily sieze if Pakistan collapses....
A real Cheeseburger in Paradise, boys'n'girls! 
And I have friends from that country who said they might go there for the holidays....

Aren't you over emphasizing the Chinese border just a little bit? That shared area isn't that large.
If Pakistan has turmoil, the country that should actually be worried is India, Pakistans hated rival, who ALSO has nukes.

Indeed. Obviously, China is Germany, and they're going to pull a Schiefen Plan by attacking India through Nepal and Bhutan. |

I can't decide if Musharraf is behind this or not. I mean, Bhutto had a lot of support in Pakistan and would have won an election had one taken place so to get rid of her in such a high profile fashion just seems like idiocy. Then again, it's a way to scare any future delegates who want to run against him and gives him leeway to declare martial law. Either way, this is way more tragic and serious than anything in Iran, that's for sure. We could be looking at a new Al-Queda or Taliban nation.

Musharraf wouldn't be behind this, not when nearly all of Pakistan thirsts for his blood without the assassination, and the army is the only working institution in the nation.
