Catching the Dream

The beauty of sleep livens me
I yearn for the restful rejuvenation
Hoping that it will be enlightening
Giving me the strength for continuation....

Deep in my dreams is where my hope lies
The insightful memories and lives I see
Dancing in patterns across the skies.
If only the next thing I see could only be....

My heart seems to let go of the world
As a gentle face and glowing eyes stare
Am I dreaming, or is it real?
Nevertheless, my heart does not care....

Being held warmly in ones protective arms
Under the night the stars twinkle brightly
Nothing brightens me more than the romantic charms,
He helps me and I help him,
Together we are becoming effervescently loving....

Sweetly, I whisper in his ear:
"I love you...I'll hold you close my dear..."
I felt as though heaven had scooped me up
And took away all of my constant fear....

The night brushes over the sky
I can feel my companions warmth against mine
We hold each other against the cool air
A feeling that seems so wonderfully divine....

Suddenly....my eyes open
I realize that it was a dream
My mind is boggled by the reality
My emotions ran like a flowing stream....

Hopelessly I prepared for my day
Tired...
Drained...
In the dream is where I wished to stay....

As I enter out to face the world
I walk down the sidewalks,
I pass the water...
And sit beyond the beach's rocks....

Down by the water I see a male
Staring intently at the setting sun
His hair blowing like a boat sail
I certainly did not choose to run....

As he turned and met my eyes
I saw that it was the guy from the dream
From whatever my emotions rely,
I began to incandescently beam....

It was the dream come true
Oh how I could not believe!
I was holding my love in my arms,
A moment from hence I would never leave....
