Re: Hasbro CLOVERFIELD MOVIE MONSTER Toy
I went ahead and pre-ordered one. I have faith in Hasbro's ability to make a good figure.
BTW: for anyone else pre-ordering one, the promo code CATCOM10 is currently valid for 10% off Hasbrotoyshop.com purchases. I don't know how long the code is good for though.

Sounds like an awesome thing. 100 dollars though? Kinda much for a toy.

Unfortunately the "trained monkeys" that took the pictures posed it wrong.

Re: Hasbro CLOVERFIELD MOVIE MONSTER Toy
Considering the inspiration Abrams took from the prevalence of Godzilla toys in Japan, I think he should push for them to make a 6.5" vinyl fig that would fit in with Bandai's U.S. line of G-figures.
This big one should look good alongside the Ultimate Godzilla '98 and Supreme Kong '05. It's a pricey toy, but my b-day is in September, so yea, Ima get one.

Re: Hasbro CLOVERFIELD MOVIE MONSTER Toy
Looks sweet. But is it supposed to be that pale looking ? That looks like the color one would expect after one seea Rosie O'Donnel in a Penthouse centerfold. I always thought the Cloverfield Terror was light green myself. And I like to see some pics of the parasites that come with it at some point.

I have to agree, It does look way to pale. I pictured it with dark Grey skin. Still looks like a cool toy though.

It's skin looked Peach to me...but, yeah I'm just going to leave it on my shelf because my GFW Godzilla would wreck this thing....It looks flimsy though...

Re: Hasbro CLOVERFIELD MOVIE MONSTER Toy
The color is correct.
The director said that they wanted it to be pale like that. Many animals are very pale when they are born, so they deliberately made the Coverfield "baby" pale to emulate this.
More REALLY cool pictures from Toy Fair 2008 are here:

Really cool diorama they have set up. I am sooooo excited for this to come out!

Re: Hasbro CLOVERFIELD MOVIE MONSTER Toy
Don't know how much overlap there may be with what KG posted, but Gorezone has many more pics of the Cloverfirld monster toy w/ diorama, Liberty head, etc.

Re: Hasbro CLOVERFIELD MOVIE MONSTER Toy
That thing will be sweet next to the zilla figures. I should make a movie of those two head to head, obviously in the hand held style (which would be difficult in stop motion, but i can dream!)

Wow...... don't think much of the second pair of arms- if they were reaching out just a little, then maybe...

Actually though, if you look really closely, the secondary arms to appear to be a seperate molding. You can see the small gaps between the different pieces (in the yellow circles).
With this, and the fact that the figure is listed as having 70 points of articulation, I bet the secondary arms are articulated.
