I was wondering, how can I copyright my own comic book characters/creations. So that no one can assume ownership over them,*or any other ways to protect my creations.

<font color='#FF0000'>If and when you decide to publish your creations, in whatever form they may be, the publishing company has ways that they automatically copyright your product.

my dad said that if you put the Copyright logo, then it's automatically copyrighted.

<font color='#0000FF'>Unfortunatly it is more complicated than that...
but for a cheap and easy proof of creation date.
put your ideas in an envelope and date them, send them to yourself or friend in the mail so that they pass through the postal service, and are stamped with a date from an official government office (the postoffice)

then keep it sealed in a safe place, if someone takes your ideas you have dated proof that your work is from when you say, but you still have to prove that it wasn't paralel development, and the like.

Copywrite laws are complicated and well documented in just about every city library, go there first, its why its there.
