Discuss the upcoming Roost Fighter tournament here! Also feel free to ask any questions and give your two cents on who will win the tournament!

I haven't really done anything on "Kaiju Karnage," (which I heard this tournament is going to play like), so how exactly will it work? Do we just explain reasons about who should win, or do we play out the battle itself (like a round robin)?

i can't wait for the tournament to start. it seems like a lot of the teams will be a good challenge for us. plus it will be interesting to see how everything will play out.

I think it should be where we pick a team and tell why we believe they should win.  That is easier than a bunch of Round Robin stories.

And you would be correct. Truth be told, Round Robins are far too unwieldy for something like this. One looking to see the format for the tournament should consult any one of the Tournaments in the Kaiju Karnage Multiple/Team Kaiju section.

And once again, remember: if your votes are biased for whatever team you're on just because, well you're on that team, I will kick you in the balls and disqualify your vote. So none of this "Bruce Parker will win, cuz Bruce Parker is teh bomb!!111" crap (though you know, he's cooler than everybody else in the tournament

So here are the most controversial matches, from most controversial to least:

Deadites vs Dashago
Dark Lords vs Heroes
Shikong vs Women
Spammerites vs Steelgods

I'll admit that part of the controversy for the DvD match is some omissions and errors in the Deadite data. But hate not me. Hate my weakness!

O yeah, by the way, when the battles are locked I won't be saying "Contest is over, no new entries accepted" or something boring like that. Instead, I'll post a witty finishing quote from one of the victorious teams' fighters. Like this, for example:

Raptor: "You've got mail...and I chopped you up with it!"

That probably won't be the real quote, but it's an example.

You know, I was 100% certain it would be Dashago vs Deadites before the draw, but when I did the drawing for the tourney I was starting to get a bit anxious that it wouldn't be. Things worked out exactly as I had planned after all.

Seer sugested that we come here to discuss Match #2 so here I am. You can not "suck" up lightning. Lightning is nor physical and thus could not be sucked up (I think). And how in the world could you be heard over the roar of a tornado? And if the tornado follows the person, the person could hear you yell a warning and grab onto the other person.

And the tornado can move constanly just to keep me in the center. In that case, it could actually spin itself out. And I believe that my Chi Balls could pass through a tornado, as they just pass through air, not made up of air.

Alright, I'm not sure about the lightning thing, but I'm pretty sure I've heard of stories of tornadoes with lightning laced on the walls.  I'll check on that.

And the warning may not be a shout, it could be a quick blast of cold air from a direction where the other person would not feel it.  We're probably getting a little too into the details here.  

What do you mean it can spin itself out?  Seer235 would be sustaining it.

You know, maybe Seer235 would just use the tornado to hurl you somewhere.  It'd still hurt.

Anyway, you guys are acting as if the tornado is my only weapon.  I still have lightning, hurricane winds, EARTHQUAKES.  A well placed earthquake could do a lot of damage (and since MM is a dragon, he could lift DBZelda off the ground, so they would be unaffected.  And I'm not sure about this, but TigerHawk actually opened up the ground beneath someone in the series, so Seer235 might be able to do that too.

Earthquakes are not weather. And yes lighting can strike in the walls, but it can not be sucked in, (I think, I could be wrong.)

And if the tornado moves to keep me in the center so that I am not thrown out, as I could not be kept centered in a swirling tornado, it moves, I spin, it move and so on and so on. It would start spinning on itself. (Just think about it.)

And it might not hurt me to be thrown out of the tornado. There are stories of babies being thrown and surviving. A BABY.

And I repeat, earthquakes are NOT weather.

Well, my character is based off TigerHawk, and he controlled earthquakes too, so I think it's safe to assume I can.

Yet they were not created for the purpose of hurting you.  And they would also not throw you into one of your teamates, or one of you teamates attacks, or such and such.
