A good music video making program?

Wanting to know what would be a good video program to use to put together a vid like the countless ones that I see on You Tube.

Windows movie maker wont let me take clips fron dvds.

I'm looking for something that will let me take clips from dvds that doesn't require me to have a brand new state of the art computer to pull it off.

My computer is about 3 years old has 207 GB of remaining space and is operating on Windows 7.

Ideas?

Well dang, I was just about to suggest WMM. I try to find movies online if I can and download them, but that's getting harder and harder. Have you tried torrents?

Don't like messing with torrents honestly.

So does your WMM let you take clips from DVDs? If so perhaps there's something wrong with mine or my computer.

No, mine doesn't. My vids are things I've gotten off Youtube or other sites. I'm sure there are programs that do DVD rips, but I don't know what they are. I'm not super tech savy.
