Yeah, yeah. Like I said, I hardly care any more. If everyone wants whatever in, it isn't like I can change their opinions. I am looking at it from a different perspective is all. If people want more kaiju that nobody knows about and would lack overall debate, then why should it bother me? All the more power to ya. I am just going to go with the flow now.

Your being dramatic without making a point. Drama with no purpose is just whining, your better than that.

You know that clips do not give the full effect of what is going on Saruman. It is not the same thing as experiencing the series to actually get a REAL feel for what the hell the characters/monsters can actually accomplish feat wise.
You can see full episodes as well as clips, you only need to see enough to make an informed opinion, not break down every episode into minute detail. There are also other sources online to view entire seasons of shows. Again not being lazy gets you further than the I can't be bothered approach.

Okay. That is fine by me. So, I now propose we let in these guys since they fit Saruman's standards for what should be allowed into the DD:

While I can think of a number of people that would enjoy that, it's still only wrestling, and that doesn't make it a viable Kaiju source. Hell if you count people in funny costumes wrestling as Kaiju then every Mexican wrestler is a viable candidate.

Drama didn't work so now were going with the apathy/feel sorry for me route? And you didn't even try to make a point again. Your better than that so sorry but it doesn't fly.

There are tons of Kaiju in the Ultraman series that I know nothing about. But guess what, when I need to know about them I put in the effort and do the research until I feel comfortable discussing them at an appropriate level. It's not difficult or impossible to do, and there are plenty of people to help anyone out if they have questions.

Because every time I argued something like this people completely ignored my points any way and it ended up getting in either way. My points are pretty much moot now. People can do what they like since it isn't like I will change their opinion anyway. I also don't have time or the energy to waste on a fruitless argument anyway. Just open the flood gates and lets see what happens.

Woohoo. I have to waste even more time that I do not have to watch a show of a series I won't care about for a theoretical giant monster fight on an internet forum. The key part? Series I don't care about. Not gonna waste my time, and neither are other people that won't care enough to look into it, the difference is that I would probably look into more than most of the rest of the participants in teh DD. Why can't people look at it this way and think of the big picture for once instead of "lets put so-and-so in because it would be cool."

But it fits your standards Saruman. After all, they are "giant monsters" and they are fighting each other in what is supposed to be a city.

I don't need anybody to feel sorry for me.

Yep. Plenty of people. Which is why I asked for clips of just a few fights from Red Baron's upgraded form in the second round this year and not one person responded at all. Doesn't help I was only the third (and last) post either, does it? Yeah...

I'll admit I dropped the ball on that one, since it was the job I chose to undertake. But I was dealing with a lot of **** this summer so I pretty much abandoned Kaijuphile for a while. It wasn't my own apathy towards the fight, so don't blame it on that. It was just real life getting in the way. A LOT.

Oh no, I understand that perfectly since I have been busy this summer too. BUT, when someone says "There are plenty of people to help" when people are either busy like you were, or do not have the clips readily available, then it is a fallacy to assume someone will be there to help people that don't know what the heck is going on.

Oh, okay. As long as we understand each other.

For the record, if I ever decide to support am out-of-left-field character again, I plan on posting all of their clips in advance next time before whatever DD they happen to be approved for (don't worry, I have no current plans to do such a thing anyways... YET...).

When it comes to new monsters, you have to draw the line somewhere, otherwise the DD becomes "anything giant death match."

I'd be willing to make exceptions for some kaiju-ish monsters with support as long as they have clips available. SOme monsters dont have clips available and arent worth including. Look at Red baron - there wasnt much you could get on him from Youtube until one of our members (or 2 maybe) posted much of the series online.

Generally speaking I would be against including anime monsters. I'm open to suggestions, however.

If we really go through with this, as I always say, we have to do it in moderation. Keep it down to at least ones we can find DVDs/downloads of, and even then keep it to relatively few. Sure, we went a bit gung-ho with tokusatsu stuff this year, but resources for, to be more specific, the Classic Super Robot stuff that Saruman and others have mentioned are a bit more hard to come by.
