Well the road less traveled is always a nice thing.
Well, its a point that even though the American Power Rangers* might not be the Sailor Scouts to say they've the power of love** they tend to look at the glass half full. This was proven in Lost Galaxy where the Pink Ranger was the reformed Astronoma, the chief villianess from In Space.
As to where Scorpina is right now, we don't know. Its been over ten years since we last saw her. Internet Movie Database's Trivia section on Mighty Morphin had this to say.
The character of Scorpina ( Ami Kawai) disappeared at the beginning of the second season. She returned in the middle of the season, in "Goldar's Vice-Versa" (played by a new actress), then left the show permenantly. Scorpina was supposed to return to the show as a main character in that episode, but Saban was unable to keep the actress for more than one episode.
I don't rightly know how Scorpina might reform. Its a point the most of the villains are mindless automatons, slaves to evil. Perhaps our lady friend might have a child like her Japanese counterpart and the Rangers save the baby leaving her indebted to them. In any case, the Rangers would forgive her, otherwise they wouldn't be Rangers
In fact, she might have already begun a path to reform. In the In Space season finale when all the villains from the past teamed up to destroy the Rangers once and for all, Scorpina wasn't there. Therefore, she was either dead or had quit the business of evil. Right now, the current Rangers are the Dino Thunder team founded by Dr. Thomas Oliver, Tommy to his friends. Scorpina comes and says she wants to help; remembering the old days Tommy'd be reluctant (whilst Connor and Ethan would be drooling to Kira's disgust). Why, when Scorpina returned after she left Rita, Tommy was there telling the newbies; Rocky, Aisha etc; to look out.
After this and after she proves herself, she might prove a valuble ally. She'd whip Elsa into mince meat, show her how a REAL [ex]villainess takes charge. She'd definitly teach Connor and Ethan a few tricks--"You might be a Red wearing jock and a blue wearing geek but you're no Jason an Billy".***
What would be really nice would be to see Scorpina track down Rita, her old boss, and husband, Zedd. After the good energy wave hit them in In Space, they turned to humans. Cheerful, tennis playing, preppy humans at that. As the wave of goodness destroyed evil, it shows that there was some goodness in Zedd and Rita, most likely their love for each other. Maybe the couple would show Scorpina around town, teach her how to adjust. Zedd might take her to the local synagogue. (Lord Zedd is Jewish. During his wedding to Rita in Season 2's "The Wedding: Part 3," he wore a yarmulke, he did the traditional breaking of a glass to commemorate the destruction of the Temple, and the song "Hava Nagila" was played.)
It would be neat!
*American Power Rangers. As Dinothunder's "Lost in Translation" shows, its rather pointless thinking of the American TV shows and their Japanese counterparts as the same show.
**Weeeeeel... there was one Christmas episode in the Zeo Days. King Mondo of the Machines uses the Bias Blaster to fill the rangers with bigotry-- I hate Chanukkah! Kwanzaa's stupid!--and turn them against each other. Zordon says that only one power can save the Rangers and it reveals itself when a young girl sings to them a song of love abd friendship which frees the Rangers from the spell.
On a side note, Saban tried to make an Americanized Sailor Moon in the same vein that it did Power Rangers. You can find the road less taken on that as a download on Toonami Digital Arsenal. (But I suggest you don't.)
***Also, Connor has T-Rex Zord, like Jason, while Ethan has a Triceratops Zord, like Billy. Wonder why Tommy hasn't commented on it.
It should be said that there are differences. While Jason was a leader born, Connor's an airhead and Billy was a nerd while Ethan's a geek
