That's what I was talking about in my post.

Very good. I was able to attain the same information from an Uncle John's Bathroom Reader book.

Well I am glad you both able to find it and able to share that fact with us and not the actual information...

Re: What was the first video game created?
I love classic games! Sometimes I just like to sit down and play my NES for hours. I love all games for NES that have to do with Mario, as including Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr., and have recently gotten Zelda from one of my friends. It's challenging, but it's fun! And I can't believe no one has mentioned Final Fantasy! I only played that game a little (because it wasn't mine), but it was cool. It was one of the first RPGs ever made.

Re: What was the first video game created?
Yeah I guess you could say final fantasy as a classic game, The first one was okay, but not anything to really go "wow" about. Though it had the cool Class changing system...that's always a plus.

Re: Classic games
When I think classic I think of the old arcades that I used to pump endless quarters into. I played the ultraviolent, multi level, big boss side scrollers like Spiderman, Aliens, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the big double screen X-men! I loved these machines, but with the advent of various virtual gaming and endless shooters these games went the way of the dinosaur. Now I hardly even go into arcades anymore.

Re: Classic games
Our mall arcade closed a long time ago so now i dont have access to the fun arcade games i used to. The only place to go now if you want to play arcade games is Mr. Gatti's.

Re: Classic games
Almost all of my favorite games are Super NES era and prior. Heck, if the Revolution downloads are free, there's a very large chance that's going to be the only console I get, and I may not buy a single game for it.
Classic games very high on my faves list:
Super Mario Bros: Obvious reasons
Super Mario Bros. 3: The epitome of platform gaming. Pure and simple.
Super Mario World: A worthy sequel that nearly rivals its predeccesor (sp?).
Yoshi's Island: Very innovative and VERY overlooked. Possibly my favorite game of all time. A spin-off done right.
Donkey Kong Country 2: I'm sick of all this "DKC trilogy was overrated" crap going around. This was the pinnacle of an excellent series: pirates, monkeys, jungles, main star kidnapped, rhinos, giant spiders, what more could you want?
DKC3: improves on its predeccesor in several ways, but highly derivative of it.
Sonic 2: Sonic didn't used to need a gun to attract customers (or goofy team mechanics for that matter). Sheer speed platforming fun. And it kicked off the Death Egg Saga!
Sonic 3 and Knuckles: Parts 2 and 3 of the Death Egg Saga in one package! Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles! Hidden Super Sonic ending! You can actually use Super forms in-game!
Super Mario RPG: Mario and RPG: a combo that had no business working succeeds spectacularly.
Mega Man 2: Where Mega Man really hit his stride. 2-D shooting and strategy.
Mega Man 3: Where Mega Man continued to hit his stride, I actually prefer it to 2, what with Proto Man and Rush.
Super Metroid: The eerie, offbeat, space scavenger hunt.
Whew! That was quite a list!
