What do you think about the title, "Godzilla: Save the Earth"
So... what do you think of the title? Personally, I think that the title is kind of childish and kiddy. It sounds like a kids game, even though it won't be one. It would have been nice if they had a more appealing title to action.

Yeah, I agree. I really don't care much for the title. I would have been happy with just Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters 2.

It immediately brings the Japanese lyrics to the save the earth song to mind with Godzilla stomping away at Hedorah.I guess they did it so it's not just adding a 2 to the end of the title or like in the SNES days adding a super to get a sequel.Plus it was supposed to be a more mission-based game instead of a fighter so they weren't just going to call it another Destroy all Monsters Melee.

I'd have to say it's ok. I'd rather have it STE instead of DAMM2. They make the game good enough, it won't matter a thing to me.

Well, it's okay. I mean, I could care less about the title, as long as the game itself is good. I mean, that is why I buy games. The content, not the title.

It more or less reflects the cheesy nature of the 70s films. That's not necessarily a bad thing. But I probably would have chosen something even cheesier, like "Fight Godzilla Fight! Super Monster Earth Challenge", or something cooler like "Godzilla: Battle for the Earth".
Actually, I'd choose this title...
"Godzilla: Fatal Fury of the King of the Monsters, Locked in Mortal Kombat with a Killer Instinct".
OK, that last one's just an amalgam of fighting game names. But it's still cool, no?

Actually, the title is very important. Look, if I'd be getting a game, and the title is "Spider-Man: Save the kids " and I see "Mortal Kombat: Dark Death" or something, which one will I pick up?

Doesn't quite fit Gojira though. He doesn't save the earth :o He just happens to beat up the other monsters because they stepped on his turf yo. XD He likes to keep the Japan destoying aaaall to himself. Greedy as he is.
So anyway, Gojira: Destroy the Earth would've been more up the alley of his personality. XD Unless ofcourse we count the dark ages of the 70s as the base for the personality of this Gojira... but to my knowledge no Showa Gojira is playable. >.>
