Who would you cast for a super hero movie?

We all have our own favorite super heroes... as well as actors and such.

So the Question is... if you had the ability... who would you cast (or would've casted) for a role in any super hero movie... past, upcoming, or possible?

-Iron Man:
This one's in the works last time I heard. I'm pretty sure they have the cast alread in mind, and/or lined up... but here's who I'd choose for the roles:
-Iron Man/Tony Stark: The incomparable Bruce Campbell! C'mon... give him some long hair extensions and have him grow back his mustache and he'd be a perfect Tony Stark.
-Mandarin: (keep in mind... I have no clue who the villain will be in the proposed movie) Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, or otherwise known as the badass who played Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat. C'mon... he plays awesome Asian villains, and this part is almost tailor made for him. That is... if the Mandarin is the villain of the planned movie. 9_9

-Hulk 2:
Another one that is right now exsisting only in rumor. But I loved the first movie... so here are my picks for the possible villains.
-The Leader: Gary Oldman, no contest! The guy just seems made for such a role... playing an egotistical, seemingly all-knowing, and arrogant psychopath wouldn't be much of a streth for Mr. Oldman.
-The Abomination: If they forego the whole "Super Smart Guy against Super Strong Behemoth" why not go with another gamma powered monster? My pick would be... (voice actor for the big monster) either Brad Dourif (Chucky's voice actor) or Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger... as if you didn't know). Both do great jobs at doing sinister voices IMHO.

-Spider-Girl (MC2):
No word about any sort of movie about the Daughter of Spidey... but if the idea ever does come up in any possible future... here's who'd I'd pick for the roles.
-May Parker/Spider-Girl: Rachel Leigh Cook, to be honest... I got this one from a Spider-Girl fansite... and the choice sounded pretty good, specially when they showed a picture of her. But I'd put Female Wrestler Lita in the costume for the Spider stunts. ^^

-Wonder Woman:
No word from DC on any possible WW movie, though it'd make sense to me for them to... since there are alotta great characters in the DC Library who've yet to get the movie spotlight that Bats and Supes have been hogging in the DC camp for decades.
-Diana/Wonder Woman: Hmmm... tough one... 6_6 Either Gina Gershon from Bound... or... in a strange act of fate/irony... Teri Hatcher... or as some of you might remember... Lois from that Lois and Clark TV Show.

And the ONE person who I think could have been cast better.....Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler.

Nightcrawler is one o my fav. Marvel characters ever (those of you here who know me, know I am one hell of a Marvel Fan). Alan got the accent down pat, but he didnt look the part....at all....

Nightcrawler is suppost to look like an athlete, a swashbuckling athlete at that. Alan had a weird presence about him, and in no way looked like a Kurt Wagner.....

oh well. The movie still kiked major butt!

The sad thing here is that one of the actors I hate the most would be the perfect Tony Stark, that being a younger Tom Sellick, from say his Magnum PI days, though I havent seen him recently he could still work. The man is really the spitting image of Tony Stark not to mention he's always got women hanging all over him just like Tony Stark did.

Nightcrawler was awesome. I will have to assume that you haven't been reading Marvel Comics since back when he first appeared in Giant Sized X-Men #1. He was done exceptionally well and was one of the best parts of the movie IMO. Yes Nightcrawler is my second favorite X-Man right behind Colossus.

I see a trend starting with Super Hero movies now. That being people are so used to the characters as they are TODAY that they forget what the characters were like when they were first created. This is especially apparent with the Spider-Man movies. I'm always hearing people say Toby Maguire isn't a good Peter Parker, but he's really an excellent Peter Parker. Then of course you get the "why isn't he cracking any jokes while hes fighting," well maybe because he had to grow into doing that in the comics. It's something he learned to do to frustrate his enemies, it's called experience. People need to stop expecting every character to be the same character they see in todays comics and remember what the characters were like when they started, it might make people appreciate the characters more.

Bruce Almighty can do serious when he wants to, but as intregueing as the idea is, I agree it's not exactly a perfect fit. Didn't Alex Ross use Timothy Dalton as a model for him in Marvels?

And am I the only one who thinks Eliza Dushku would make an awesome Wonder Woman?

Selleck would have been good, but now he's too old.

I was thinking lately... pondering on this question again... and of course got to thinking about the future X-men movies. Since X3 is still apparently going to be made without Singer.

Who would play a good Juggernaut? Who would play a good Blob?

Now, logically... I'm pretty sure SFX will have alot to do with these two characters. Specially the Blob, who I can see being pretty much anyone, just gotta put the poor actor in a big suit reminiscent of one utilized in the Eddie Murphy Nutty Professor titles, Fat ******* from the Austin Powers series, or a suit similar to the kind worn by Gweneth Paltrow in Shallow Hal.

Now for the actor... either Jack Black or Mike Myers if you'd want to approach the Blob's more comical side (if you've played X-Men Next Dimension, or seen the X-men shows... you'll know what I mean)... or if you want it to be pretty damn serious... Ethan Suplee (from Butterfly Effect (Thumper), American History X, and Evolution (one of those two fat guys in Ducovney's class)), who can do a pretty good serious role... as shown in both Butterfly Effect and American History X.

Now with Juggernaut... either a suit similar to the one that would most likely be used for the Blob... or just get WWE steroid monkey Brock Lesner for the role. He's got the muscles and build for it... and he'd most likely be under a helmet for about 95.5% of the movie. That or Goldberg... *laughs*

Course... Goldberg could also do a pretty good Asorbing Man. 9_9

For me, the greatest comic book series of ALL time was Marvel's 'Tomb of Dracula'. This was THE one, baby, some of the best writing the house of ideas ever produced. I think it is a telling quality that ToD lingered for years after the plethora of other Marvel monster titles bit the dust (and there were droves of these, trust me), reaching even into the early 1980's, a feat only the more super-hero like Ghost Rider achieved.

Anyway, for a plot, I think they'd have to go with something along the lines of the Darkhold/Montessi formula storyline that ended Dracula's reign of terror in the Marvel Universe for a long time, although with Dr Strange removed from the proceedings (extra money for licensing and all that). Basically, a group of human cultists is using the Darkhold (Marvel's version of the Necronomicon) to make the Lord of the Vampires into a god. All the old vulnerabilities are gone - no more sunlight and crosses, Dracula is beyond that now. His powers are enormously enhanced - he can throw stuff around like he's the Hulk and instead of summoning storms, he can now call up typhoons. The only way to stop him is with a dangerous spell called the Montessi Formula, a spell that will destroy all vampires on the Earth and make it so that their foul essences can not be called back from this final death.

I'll post later who I think should play the principle characters....

In a perfect world John Phillip Law (played Diabolik, featured in the last episode of Mstery Science Theatre 3000) as Kid Miracleman in a Miracleman movie, though he is far too old now to play the role.
