Wal-Mart.

Anyway, I've really been meaning to see this movie; it looks great. Hopefully I can get around to it before its theatrical run ends.

Yeah, this woman has absolutely no clue whatsoever.

Yikes.
She didn't watch the whole movie then because H.G. Wells name came up first at the end of the movie, right under "War of the Worlds." Speilberg didn't put any name on it at the beginning of the film.

The Spielberg who was a craftsman and took a great deal of time and care with his films doesn't exist anymore, if you ask me. His last films have been completely unwatchable, in fact, I can't think of one I've enjoyed since 'Saving Private Ryan' and even that movie had some horribly contrived sequences. Still, maybe the old Spielberg, the one who wasn't obsessed with slapping walkie talkies into the hands of Federal agents in ET, will come crawling out of his PC-riddled shell and we might see a decent movie. I just wouldn't put any money on that bet.
I'm sorry, but out of all of the negitive replies, this one was the one that got slapped the hardest.

You were saying Morgoth?

On the contrary, Clint was at least open to the possibility that the movie could be good, but had his doubts. Thankfully, his worries (which I shared) were, for the most part, put to rest.

Harlan's a dude...

He's also a blowhard, if a talented one.

Odd.. I seem to recall that they didn't put the 'H.G. Wells' in front because of the changes.

Plus Clint will admit when he's wrong on those sort of things (see Pirates of the Carribean).

Please, don't give him that much credit. Creative? I might give you that. Jealous? Definently. I think I have already blasted him enough so I won't now.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I tried to go in there with an open mind, and it paid off.

I liked Batman Begins a lot better though.

wow, i just saw the Pendragon version. i must say, i was blown away. actually, i couldn't even get through it. my unlce bought it with the intention of making our own MST3k (our newest hobby), but none of us could finish it, not even in two sittings. my god, that was just plain wretched. i just cant beleive anyone could make such a terrible movie. it was worse than most things i've even seen on MST3k. i dont even think they could survive it. it was just terrible. that baker falling in the pit was hilarious, though.
