Ebirah vs hedorah

Hey! August on my mailing list said in the mag next month the same mag will have info on a sea battel of Hedorah and Ebirah. Perhaps both kaiju will battle each other?

The Sea battle with Hedorah and Ebirah would be terrific news if it panned out, those are two of the kaiju we have NOTHING on in terms of plot and script.

I am shocked that some of you are still finidng things to complain about....

If Ebirah and Hedorah fought, Hedorah would definatley win. Maybe he'll fight Godzilla afterwards.

The article probably meant that Godzilla is going to fight both of them in the ocean, which is probably the only way Ebirah would last ten seconds is if he had some help.

Well "duel" generally means 1 on 1, not 1 on 2.

The way I see it, either A) Ebirah has been pumped up for this movie, or B) Hedorah (at least his water form) has been watered down for this movie. Also, if Hedorah kills Ebirah, anyone take into consideration that Godzilla and Ebirah fight first, and it results in a tie with both monsters going their seperate ways? Godzilla doesn't have to kill every monster he fights in this movie, you know.

Especially since we know that he doesn't take out Anguirus at first, seeing as we know of two encounters between the two.

I doubt Ebirah and Godzilla are going to be fighting in this movie, I just think the crustacean is going to have a brief battle with Hedorah.

It's possible that this battle is the symbolization of Hedorah's awesome power, and that he is very dangerous and ready to fight if encountered. It is pretty obvious that Hedorah is going to pulvarize Ebirah.

I just hope Ebirah wounds Hedorah a little, and not get completely slaughtered in 5 minutes.

I just think its odd that Godzilla's 50th film (where he is the main star, unlike in Destroy all Monsters..heck his name is even in the title) would have a scene where two other monsters are fighting each other.

I think Ebirah should be given a beam for this movie, iof not Ebirah will just come off as pathetic.

Odd? Yes, definitely. Good? Yes, I like the aspect of not having Godzilla get involved in every single battle in the movie as it would get... dare I say it... uninteresting.

I mean, I would prefer Anguirus and Rodan fighting each other more than Godzilla fighting each of them one-on-one.

IMO, giving Ebirah a beam would make the poor monster even more disliked by fans.

A BEAM?!

That would be a very cheap and dumb move for Toho. WHERE WOULD IT COME FROM?! Ebirah is a normal lobster who has been bloated by radioactivity in this movie. Giving him a beam is just plain stupid. He'll get killed by Hedorah anyway, does it really matter whether or not he has a beam?

Hmm oddly enough I just ate lobster,shrimp, and crab today. I am glad none of them shot beams at me as I would have laughed. As such I can say Ebirah shouldn't have beams either

Good points, but keep in mind: there are many reasons of why Godzilla is the huge star he is today and one of those reasons just happens to be the monsters he had encountered in the past 50 years.

I think it would be boring if Godzilla was in every single fight. Sure, he is the main monster in this--obviously--but seeing these separate monsters duke it out with different monsters, then later fight Godzilla could help the audience see just how strong Godzilla is by his performance with the other monsters.

Truth is, it would also give the audience 'more' to see. It would get old seeing every fight with Godzilla, then they'd know the basic 'what is going to happen next' and etc...different monsters + different battling tactics = more fun.

I hope this news turns out to be true. I was hoping that we'd get some battlin' kaiju that weren't Godzilla or Kaiser G. There's so much untapped potential in the Toho-verse, and I'd be very happy to see a little of it get explored.

Anyone ever read the old Skip Peel stories in G-Fan? They always dealt with tussles between kaiju that weren't Godzilla or Gamera - King Kong vs Mothra, Battra vs Gyaos, Fire Rodan vs Showa Rodan, etc. Very entertaining.

Ever consider the possibility that Hedorah's Water Form in this movie is rather weak and takes a bit of a fight to win anything? Or that Ebirah will probably tie a fight with Godzilla before being killed by Hedorah?

please excuse the lobster hate but ebirah tying a fight with godzilla then losing to hedorah just dont sound right. maybe if hedorah was in his water form when he battles ebirah then the shrimp would have a chance. im not complaining or anything im just saying i doubt ebirah is gonna have much of a chance.

There probably gonna pull something like this...

Ebirah impales Hedorah with claws, cuts arms and legs off, and then the water starts to turn as the arms and legs return to the body, the wound seals up, Hedorah covers Ebirah in his mucky body, Ebirah is absorbed or killed or something. I mean, just look at his claws in the art, Ebirah will put up a good fight, weather you like em or not.
