Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
Oh and as to a koumajutsu reference, there was also another one on Book One. Back when Ghidorah first destroys Lima, he "thinks"* that a dragon with the soul of a demon, a heart of death and the aid of a necromancer couldn't have done a better job and mocks this imaginary foe.
Hope the boss doesn't it take it personally!
*Well, I don't want to anthromorphize them so I am very reluctant to use the words think or say when speaking of the monsters

Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
Obi,man you have did yourself by far.
The battle in egypt is the greatest kaiju fight scene that I have ever read,it was pure carnage, and action.Bloody like no other battle Ive read.It made me think"Now THIS has got to bring him down" but it didn't he just kept coming. An aswome job.
King Ghidorah is just this massive hulking juggernaught.Seemingly unstoppable. And you pull it off with making him look like a DBZ villain.
The writting was superb, and you really made it feel like a war was wagging, adding to the feel of this Story.
Man,this is your best work yet,and Iam proud to give you a (*****) rating.
I can't wait for part 3....

Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
Glad you liked it Darkside Reject !
Amazing but... when I first made the original outline, the Egypt battle wasn't even on it! As I was reviewing it, I scribbled "snake monster?" in a margin and it just grew from there. But as I saw the potential in it for a cool sub story with neato monsters I began to do serious planning. I also knew I could use an early battle there to show just what it is that we're up against here. I'm very proud of the egypt battle and I'm glad that you like it !

Hello everyone.
I'd like to say that a new monster has been added to the my Age of Monsters redo thread on redo page Take a look, if you wish.
Another thing, there is a slight blooper in the Egyptian battle. (Sobek just dissapears.) It will be corrected by tommorow at the latest. Thanks goes to Crucifer for the heads up!

Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
The Mistake has been repaired, thanks toi Crucifer for the heads up!
Oh and the timeline has been slightly revised with mentions of new material in Book Two. Hope you like.
Age of Monsters Discussion AGE OF MONSTERS TIMELINE 2.0
[Titles in bold incidate a movie title and that the events therein happened. Parenthisis indicate a television show.]
225,000,000 BC: Inagos cedes his rule of the Permain Age world to the Great Tyrannosaur, the first dinosaur according to myth. The Age of Insects ends and the Mesozoic, or Age of Dinosaurs, begins.
65,000,000 BC: The "Archao Space Hunters" create skyllans to bio-weapons. The chief skyllan, King Ghidorah, is tested on earth. Dragon Queen, the first of the newborn Elias race senses this and has the Earth spawn Supersaur champions
Supersaurs include:
Anguirus,
Baragon,
Gigantis,
Godzilla,
Gorosaurus,
Titanosaurus,
and Rodan.
King Ghidorah arrives on Earth and kills all the dinosaurs. Anguirus, Gorosaurus, and Titannosaurus are presumed dead. Gigantis is confirmed dead. Rodan is dead though its egg did survive into modern times. Baragon also survived into modern times, though was killed by Frankenstein. Godzilla also survived into modern times.
The world suffers mass plant and animal extinctions and the dinosaurs are wiped out. The Age of Dinosaurs ends and the Age of Mammals begins.
King Ghidorah turns on his creators and destroys his birth world. He then goes from planet to planet killing all living things and gaining a reputation as "the planet destroying scourge of the galaxy."
65,000,000-10,000 BC: Descendants of the Archao Space Hunters colonize various planets though the original mission of continuing the species is often forgotten except in legends.
King Ghidorah and his fellow skyllans continue their destruction and many alien races form an interplanetary coalition to fight them. Coalition is headed by the Neo Space Hunters.
10,000 BC: The Age of Man has begun. The Ancients such as Atlantis and Mu rule the Earth. They welcome colonists from outside the solar system as they colonize Mars, Mysteroid, Planet X, and Venus. King Ghidorah follows them and attacks the other planets before descending on Earth. He is defeated by the Guardians; Kong, Manda, Megalon, Dagarla, Kamobas, and Mothra & Battra; and imprisoned in a metal sphere by their respective peoples; Faroe, Mu, Seatopia, N'Lai K'Nai, Atlantis, and Lemuria.
Chaos caused by the war leads to a world war in which weather control is used. The resultant Great Flood is remembered in the form of the world's many flood myths.
10,000-modern times: Civilization rebuilds itself though knowledge of the past is lost. Simeon refugees trapped on Earth find asylum with Martian survivors of King Ghidorah's attack who have built a new nation in the Himalayas called Selginia.
3000 BC: Internal strife in Mu results in Apophis leading a failed coup. He and co-conspirator Jormungand are banished. Their brothers, Shen Long and Quetzalcoatl, lead them out.
Good Quetzalcoatl claims worshippers in Mexico and evil Apophis, in Egypt. Apophis' Egyptian slaves [Atlantean survivors] rebel with their own monsters; Anubis, Horus, Set, and Sobek; and win with Quetzalcoatl's help.
Also at this time, Majin Tuol is created.
1889: “Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water” TV series
1891: Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water: The Motion Pitcure
1925: Lost World [Original black and white silent movie]
1933: Godzilla, as Godzillasaurus awakens in modern times. Body has cannibalized itself from lack of energy.
King Kong and Son of Kong. After those events, the US government revives Kong by President Roosvelt's orders to be used as bio weapon.
1935: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
1936: Raiders of the Lost Ark
1938: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
1944: Lagos Garrison, including Miki Seguesa's grandfather, Akira Seguesa, is saved by Godzillasaurus. US Army brings in Kong to fight.
1945: Kong exposed to Trinity bomb test; the radiation makes him a giant.
1945-1954: Sightings of monsters around the world skyrocket. This heralds the Age of Monsters.
1953: The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms
1954: Godzilla: King of the Monsters The Age of Man ends and the Age of Monsters begins.
Them! Radiation from the bomb is shown to have made desert insects into giant monsters. The ants were the tip of the iceburg.
1955: In the confusion of the Swarm, King Kong escapes the US army and swims to Faroe/Mondo Island where his people have now made their home after Skull Island was destroyed by a volcano.
1956: Rodan
1957: Mysterians
1958: Varan
1959: Inagos is awakened and takes command of the Swarm. The Swarm Wars.
1961: Gorgo, Mothra, and Reptilicus
1963: Atragon At that time, Yuri Gagarin contracts a space virus while leading the Soviets against the Mysterian Dome.
1964: Dogora the Space Monster
1964-1973: Mothra's egg washed on Rolisika. Mothra and Battra larva hatch out. Battra and Belvera seek vengeance on evil polluting humans.
1965: Frankenstein vs Baragon [Alternate ending with him being taken to water by an Oodako happens. Frankenstein then washes on US held Okinawan shores and is taked to West Germany.]
Also at this time the male Rodan escapes from Mt Aso.
1966: War of the Gargantuas and Operation Robinson Crusoe: King Kong vs Ebirah. [It was an unmade film. Kong was subsituted with Godzilla and the film became "Godzilla vs Ebirah."]
1969: Yuri Gagarin become Uchihikrah
1970: Yog the monster from space
1973: Young Hayashida, seeking vengeance on all monsters for how his parents were killed by Godzilla in 1954, creates Gigamoth for it to be used as a monster killer. She goes mad and Mothra and a remorseful Battra stop it. On seeing the destruction his creation caused, Hayashida ponders his actions.
"Zonefighter." (Sans Godzilla, King Ghidorah, or Gigan.) After, an unspecified time, Zonefighter leaves Japan and Earth as the Garoga, now weak and beaten, flee. Garoga War is declared over.
1975: Female Rodan escapes as Fire Rodan. She is reunited with her mate.
1985: Godzilla 1985
1986: Godzilla emerges from Mt Fuji. Kong is taken from Faroe Island and fights Godzilla. A mass exodus of monsters begins in Japan as Godzilla drives them out.
Also, the UN creates UNGCC, the United Nations Godzilla Countermeasures Center.
1987-present: UNGCC builds giant robots, such as Red Ronin and Cyber-Saur to send against Godzilla and other monsters.
1987: Angela, a female shaped mecha, is built as the last best hope. Young Miki is made its pilot.
1987-present: A combined sea battle with the Maritime Defence Force of Earth and the Imperial Mu Navy is waged against Godzilla. Atragon is destroyed.
Angela fights with and against Godzilla. Godzilla fights Mothra. Miki is forced to fight Godzilla and Angela is destroyed. She meets Kyle Martin, Steven Martin's son, and they fall in love. King Ghidorah's sphere is found.

Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
Did anyone cry when King Ghidorah killed Nessie and the baby Nessie was left alone to mourn the lost of her mother?
I just love of Ghidorah has become a satanic demon of destruction. I also love how you managed to cram all that mythology into the story. Much more then what I plan to do in the story I'm writing. I assume it's too late to ask for a cameo of one of my own kaiju, considering you have established the Super Saurs, which my monster would end up falling under. My monster being Tyraxu, a mutated member of an extremely intelligent race of Tyrannosaurs gifted with telekinisis.

Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
Hi Figment! Glad for the line at the forum. (Though I remember the more innocent and less hair split days of the forum... I miss my best pal Vazel! )
Any ways, I imagine that perhaps the hero monsters in that scene were saddened by that tragedy though they were unable to stay around; they were busy trying to track King Ghidorah. Its one of the sad truths of war, its when you're fighting to protect the things you love that you can forget them. Though not shown, I've no doubt that Miki would cry. I portray her as being extremely sympathetic to the monsters and that would extend to Baby Nessie and her big sister.*
And extra thanks for the remark on King Ghidorah. I grew up with showa films and thus always looked at the three-headed monster as the baddest of the bad. As this story offered me the opportunity to bring that into play, I decided to take advantage of it.
However, I must say that Tyraxu does sound rather intrigueing... I've made it a habit of planning ahead and I hope to do a big alien invasion Destroy All Monsters (or Final Wars?) someday with the mechanized return of a certain somebody... For a time I was unsure of the alien race but the idea of evolved dinosaurs gives me ideas. "Mammalian scum, this world is ours! We have returned from space to reclaim it so begone usurpers or die!"
Figment, do you have a link to your story so I can read it?
Thanks Figment and have a nice day!
*The two Nessies are sisters. I originally thought of having them be mother and daughter but I changed it to contrast with the next chapter where Kyle thinks of his late brother.
And thanks Figment, I double checked cuz of your post and found a blooper in that scene. Its been corrected.

Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
Oh and as a side note, I would like to say that "Book Three: Dawn of a New Day" is more than halfway done. Our heroes are already gearing for the very last battle to end a war that began 65,000,000 years ago. Toodles!

Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
I haven't necesarily gotten to his role in a story I'm writing which is about a massive war against a Dark Lord from ancient times brought back by Michael Eisner and the characters of Disney seeking mystical objects to bring Walt back and turn the tide of the Earth's future. The story also involves 14 kaiju including Godzilla, Tyraxu, Mothra, the GMK and Final Wars Ghidorah as a pair of brothers;GMK being good and Final Wars evil, King Ceesar, Gamera, Gyaos, two Pheonixes, Rodan, Baragon, Angilas, Manda and Megalon; and several ancient civilizations such as Atlantis, Lemuria, Laputa from the Miyazaki film of the same name, Seatopia and one from my imagination; Lumai.
Tyraxu basically in the story's timeline fought off several alien invasions alongside Baragon, Angilas and Rodan. These monsters were mostly cyborgs and included Gigan and Mogu from the unused script for Godzilla VS Gigan, alongside many monsters I created. I think that since I have a lot of work to do on my story, my tale of Tyraxu would come later so I guess he won't participate in the Monster Wars. Maybe in that DAM style story...
EDIT: I've posted the story I'm working on, titled "The Battle For Disney" at fanfiction.net, though I've only completed 7 chapters in a story that will end up going to about 20. I've got work to do on it...

Re: G:TMW Book Two. The Dogs of War.
Dear everyone,
I'd like to thank you all for sticking with me for so long. I'd also like to say that the final battle of the Monster Wars will soon begin. I'm currently writing the final battle and am doing final checks on earlier chapters. If you would like to say anything or if you would to ask any questions, leave'em here.
Have a nice day.

Hi everone! Just as I promised, I've gone over Book Two. Fortunately there wasn't much to fix, except for grammer here, a redone word there. As for Book Three, I won;t be unable to update it as I wil be out of town for a time but rest assured, I will do it. Untill next time.
