I just found this in Google, obviously, its from Pumpkinhead 2...but take a look...

Is the friggin Necronomican a library book? First Jason Goes to Hell and now Pumpkinhead 2. j/k Nice find there MM. It makes since seeing as the book is filled with demos and dead things and the such. Do I smell the faint scent of maybe crossover in the air?

I could easily see a Pumpkinhead Evil Dead cross over...

Ash goes on vacation, the deadites awaken because of the witch, infest some kid, Ash kills em, and the father or what ever has Pumpkinhead awakened for revenge...

Heh, I don't know... Ash has that "miracle" boom stick that never runs outta ammo... In a long fight, Pumpky would win, but Ash would keep running away and doing jump attacks probably.

Interesting find.

It's possible that they are in the same timeline. It would be cool if we did see a crossover between the two and if you ask me, it is plausible that in the upcoming "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash", we might get a reference to Pumpkinhead. (In fact, speaking of which, it would be cool to receive other references in the process to other characters of the 'slasher'/'evil' genre that we all know and love.)

Though if there were a crossover, It would be cool if they made it more darker. For example, if they had Ash be the one to summon the demon. That way, only Ash could truly expel the demon from our world. Though keep in mind, doesn't the summoner have to die and eventually take the demon's place? So many possible interesting occurances.

This might be a silly question, but if the presence of the Necronomicon means a Pumpkinhead/Evil Dead crossover, what of the countless other movies/books/comics/anime/used car ads that The Book appeared in? Do they get to come along too? That'd be one hell of a universe to live in...

Most of them look completely different, while the ones found in Jason Takes Manhatten and PH2 are EXACTLY like the ones in the Evil Dead series.

The Necronomicon is actually a real book and the ones that appear in the Evil Deads, Jason, Pumpkinhead, etc. all take after the book's original design, so this is pretty much like saying they would be in the same timeline if they both had a copy of Webster's Dictionary.

The Necronomicon isn't real, Lovecraft invented it for his stories. There is a Necronomicon book that you can buy in Borders and such, but it's not the "dripping with evil and death" book from the Cthulhu mythos and Evil Dead and such.

Well there was a Book of the Dead that was from the Sumerians, just like in the movies. I've been learning about it in Art History class. Its from the Old Kingdom BC.

Nice find, MM. I actually enjoyed Pumpkinhead 2 for its sheer stupidity, but I missed that scene. Now that, sadly, Raimi has destroyed all hope of FJA happening, maybe he can make Ash vs. Pumpkinhead instead. :-/
