Ok, even though two of these stories are not yet complete, I was just wondering what everybody's favorites are?

I voted for Scourge. He's one of the coolest Decepticons ever(THE Coolest on RiD),he is a Black Repaint of Lazer Optimus Prime, and he kicks Autobot but and he, ooops, wrong Scourge

I ment, the Scourge of the Supersaurs, it was neat, and monumentally epic. It had 4 of the neatest Dinosaur Kaiju, and 2 very neat robots.

I would have voted for Koujamitsu, but the Impailing of Mothra and the possable death of King Seesar, RELLY turned me off and ruined any chances it had as my favorite.

Well all of your stories have been excellent so far, none of them can really compare to the size and scope of Koujamitsu. Besides, it has Hoichi and Kato which are 2 of my favorite characters.

Godzilla vs. King Kong gets my vote. With three of my faviort monsters,  King Kong, and   and MechaniKong is cool too. Plus MARS and Red Bamboo, two of my faviort villains, and Colonel Kenji Nomura is a good one-time villian too.

I voted for Koumajutsu: the Coming of Bagan, even though it's not finished yet, any story that gets me to feel sorry for Mothra has to be good.

G vs. Cthulhu and Scourge of the Super-saurs and The Return of Rodan were also my favorites.

Hm... Murakoshi, Dr. Mafune, Titanosaurus and Anguirus...

How could Scourge NOT be my favorite?

Close runners-up would be Godzilla vs. Cthulhu (I think it's the best written, just not my usual cup of tea), and of course, Koumajutsu.

Koumajutsu: the Coming of Bagan.  Best story you've done yet.  Only Godzilla vs. Cthulhu can even come close.

My vote went to 'Godzilla vs. Cthulhu'.  This to me is the most immersive feeling of the lot.  When I was reading that story I felt I was actually in the grimy occult world of Cthulhu.  The rest of the New Era stories also had a sense of immersion to them, but none quite like GvsC.

Runners up include,

2nd Place:  Koumajutsu: The Coming of Bagan  (The pure evilness of this story has me sold!)
3rd Place:  Godzilla vs. Frankenstein (The original and still one of the best, man I can't believe I first read this 4 years ago!)

I had to give it to Koumajutsu, because Kato is just plain cool. *The dark atmosphere and overly violent fight scenes bring back good memories of Evangelion- but this has better monsters and doesn't have that sappy teen angst. Oh, and Bagan rocks harder than Cleveland.

I haven't finished reading Scourge yet, but it seems pretty good. *I thought that in Godzilla vs. King Kong and Rodan, Godzilla seemed very underpowered and almost wimpy, which brought them down a bit. *They're still miles over most of the other Goji-fanfics, though. *I haven't even started reading Godzilla vs. Cthulu yet.

EDIT:  Crapola, I forgot to mention the Frankenstein fics.  I like both of the completed ones a LOT.  Koumajutsu just barely edges them out.

I'd like to vote for   , but Scourge is BY FAR your best. Koujamitsu is more ambitious and epic, probably the grandest scope of any G-fic yet (and the human characters finally get to do something, which is something that was lacking in many of your fics), but Scourge is better for the following reasons:

a) The Super-saurs. 4 classic, fan-fave kaiju, finally being able to cut loose without any budget controls.

b) MARS. You set them up as a corporation of major *******s and made us all hate them... Then you began to take them out, factory by factory... VERY cool.

c) The fights. The   ones are very brutal and kick-arse, but the Super-saur ones are more evenly matched and fun to see.

d) The whole global destruction thing. The attack on cities across the world by the Super-saurs (6 in total, and 4 of those capital cities) was a great warm-up for   and it's a great treat to see London getting smashed to toothpicks.  (Yes, I'm VERY patriotic )

e) The background. Already, you'd introduced Hammer Horror, Cthulhu and Kong into your mythos, but now you introduced Gorgo, Reptilicus, THREE organisations devoted to combating kaiju and the Jurassic Park movies into the New Era. Great seeing the whole world get opened up, and Gorgo's attack being referenced. And not just referenced, but we know from the way you write it that "Gorgo" was NOT a throwaway cameo, but a serious part of Britain's history in the New Era, and the promise of The Other Big G showing up some time later.

f) The robots.

ranks second, of course, and Cthulhu comes third.

I agree with Charles when he says that the human characters in Bagan are spectacularly handeled.

Don't get me wrong, I love the MARS and other characters of past fics, but the way you brought alive characters like Kato, Eiji, and Hoichi is superb!

This one was a tough choice, Clint. ALL your fics rock. I finally voted for   vs. King Kong. Scourge of the Supersaurs and   came real close, though. I just like the way you named the characters in GVKK in a way that paid homage to the original Kong. You did a great job of incorporating   and   into the story also. And giving him the power to charge himself up from electricity was a nice nod to King Kong vs. Godzilla. I'd like to see Toho remake that movie, using this fic as the basis. (Hey, I can dream, can't I?)

Koumajutsu, by far, is my favorite of all the fanfics you've done, Clint. The epic scope of the story, the brutal Kaiju Bagan and a whole host of other interesting things really made this one great. I mean, how could you not like the demonic Kato? Or the holy and pure Hoichi? Or the grand scale destruction caused by Bagan is both the old world and the new world? Truly a monumental story.

I also like Scourge of the SuperSaurs, since that was one of the first fanfics I ever read that integreated so many Kaiju, global destruction and different organizations with their own respective motivations flawlessly. Not to mention that Titanosaurus is actually here, finally a fitting tribute to one of the most underrated monsters ever. And Latos is just a prick, truly one of the worst ( in a good way ) CEOs ever.

Then there's also Godzilla vs. Cthulhu, possibly the most well-written of the lot yet. It's very gritty and mysterious, kinda like the feeling you get from esoteric Masonic rites. Okay, I strayed way too far, but I have to admit, I never thought The Big G and cthulhu could work together.

For the record Sorrow of Manchuria is also looking good, but I have to yet to read the whole thing. Still, it truly looks like a deep story, and a possible contender for the best-written fanfic in your portfolio.

Peace,

Melkor

I'd have to say that Koumajutsu: The Coming of Bagan was my favorite, because, well, that's the only New Era story I've read so far. The characters are so deep, and their motivations for destruction/helping are really thought out. Also, the huge amount of kaiju battles that take place are very well written, and every fight is successful in not trying to be dull, or repetitive. Great job, Clint!

Until the Wrath of Mothra story comes along and the introduction of Gamera, Koumajutsu and Cthulhu rule. Of course that's my opinion. When will Gamera come along BTW?

You did it, Clint. You killed my third-favorite Kaiju (and condemned his very soul to eternal torment), and I still liked the story...

King Ghidorah's return, in particular, was excellent.

Koumajutsu by far.

Not only have you flawlessly cameoed more mosters than any other fanfic I've ever read, but the human element actually almost tops off the Gamera trilogy, the characters, speaking of, are just too cool not to like (Hoichi and Kato, of course), and the story set the stage for the constant and smothering darkness that'll be the focus for so many New Era stories to come.

Plus, King Ghidorah and Bagan kick serious @$$!

He's a bit... hard to describe. *Basically, a big, green, gelatinous humanoid mass with bat-like wings and a head that looks like an octopus (not like the head of an octopus... an entire octopus). *You can see a pic of him on the title of Godzilla vs. Chtulhu.

BTW, what's &quot;Scars of Frankenstein&quot;? &nbsp;I have yet to see that one posted in the Fanfic section.

<font color='#0000FF'>That's as good a description of Chtulhu as you're going to get.

He exists mostly outside of human understanding, so... yeah. He's bad news.
