Method of Attack: Wiz isn’t exactly a fighter, but when he does leap into combat he does it with bloodlust and rage. Wiz’s problem isn’t so much that he’s weak as it is that he doesn’t have a true fighting style. Thus, it can be hard for some foes to take him seriously. However, his Illusion of Heaven and Earth technique is deceptive and keeps the foe on their toes. Wiz is okay in terms of speed and reflexes, though nothing special. His pistol does strike great fear into lesser foes, but stronger foes only get slightly worried.

Ok, here we go. It is a pretty close match-up here, but I have to say that.....I lose. I think the deciding factor in this match is Cortez's weapons. His sword is, well a sword. My rapier is basically only a pointy stick, because none of the sides are sharp, just the tip. So he would have the advantage there. Plus, any damage I do to him would be rejuvinated.

Well we could just do it ranged style, but Cortez isnt exactley Vicious and wouldnt do absolutely everything in his power to win. Well even if I did win you would not be dead, so it wouldnt really matter but you might hold a nasty grudge

Anyway shoot me+ I go into shock=Death without a chance to heal in this way you could easily win.

In a sword fight a rapier is ranged sword so we could maybe fight it that way and if you were methodical you cold beat me, but if you came in range of my broadsword you will probably get beat

I don't know...It says Wiz attacks with bloodlust and rage...so he would possibly be on the offensive more than Cortez...

But then again Cortez has a beam, rejuvenation, and a more dangerous sword...

The only ranged ability of a rapier is the thrusting aspect. This hinges on the length of the rapier. I doubt it is longer than your broadsword.

Plus, any damage I do to him would be rejuvinated.

That is not the same thing as regeneration, Wiz-master. Rejuvination is the ability to get back strength, like the Labyrinth in Batman. That means he will not heal himself. He will just always stay at a near maximum strength. He will wear you down with this.


Allow me to break down this fight.

In a straight fight:

Gun beats Crossbow

Broadsword beats Rapier

Father Estaban Cortez has the beam and rejuvination.
Wiz has bloodlust in battle and his Illusion of Heaven and Earth technique.

If Wiz can keep attacking him over and over he will keep FEC from rejuvinating. If he can avoid the beam and deal some decisive hits he may win.

Ahhhhh....well, I thought that it said regeneration. Well that changes everything. Cortez would still have the advantage over me with his sword, but I could repeatedly shoot him from a distance, and then charge in and poke him to death with my rapier (probably not literally to death, though). My Illusion of Heaven and Earth would do a considerable amount of damage too. I could, like Dante said, shoot down the arrows from the crossbow, and maybe the beam. And depending on how far I was when the were fired, I might be able to dodge. Hmmmm. I might need to change my vote...

No it wouldn't. The Illusion DOESN'T cause damage. It is a facade that allows you to get in and attack regularly.

The actual attacking is part of the Illusion of Heaven and Earth, which is why it says I attack in the description. And the shadow's that the attack imitts would allow me to poke him with my rapier.

And I never said you could shoot down the arrows. It is a possibility though. I just meant that the gun would cause more damage.

If the gun shoots lasers instead of bullets (sp?), than it could cancel out the beam, because both are made of an energy like thing.

Not a poke! Anything but that!

Don't forget the Cortez has more long range attacks than you, so he stand back and pelt you, not allowing you to get close. You have a long range attack too, but chances are his beam would overwhelm you.

^ Yeah Wiz, you gun shoots bullets. You know, metal objects. Also known as ammo.

Nowhere, anywhere, does it say that you shoot lasers.

You two are right. I thought it just said I had a "gun" in my bio, but, in fact, it does say pistol. Sorry about that.

As far as Cortez's long range attacks, both would be hard to aim. The crossbow wouldn't be too difficult as long as Cortez knows how to use it well, but the beam comes from his sword. I imagine that would be hard to aim. That's not to say that it wouldn't ever hit me, but it would be hard. My gun on the other hand would be the easiest to aim out of the three long range weapons.

The beam comes in a straight line, otherwise it wouldn't be called a beam. The beam is not going all over the place, and since it is HIS beam, that probably means he mastered it's use, so he would be able to aim it.

Just because its HIS beam, it doesn't mean he has mastered it, and even if he has, mastered or not, it would still be hard to aim, and if it is fired from a distance, I could probably dodge it.

Oh yes, it just happens to be an attack that he has used many times in the past. He has absoultly no idea how to weild it...

And who says he will use it at a distance? I would think he would blast you in the face up close.

No, I run when I have to, and I attack when I have to. You have to be both offensive and defensive to win a fight.

But, if you have to run away to avoid being hit, then when you stop to attack, then you will get hit.

Since I am faster than him, I could run behind him, or even hide and sneak up on him.

But if you are behind him, that doesn't mean that he can't shoot you. He could turn around and get you. And to sneak up on him, you would still have to get close. Just because you have speed doesn't mean we are all Flash's and can't be seen.
