Gamera games

I didnt know they made a Gamera game for the SNES. I tried playing it, its kinda hard but once you figure it out its all good.

Does anyone have or know a place i can get screen shots from the Gamera 2000 video game. I really love  Gyaos(and Mothra) and i would like the stats for all the different kinds of Gyaos i nthis game. Thanks

I have the game and its pretty cool. You dont actually get to control Gamera though, he just basically flys along next to your ship and helps you out. You can tell him to do certain attacks depending on how full his meter it. The different Gyaos are pretty cool and there is a good selection of them. I tried getting screen captures off of it through my Video VCR card, but they came out horrible. I need to hook up a vcr to my tv and record the game and then get the screen captures from that, but its a real pain in the neck for me to do it that way.

There are some screen shots from a review in an old G-Fan (#44), but they're small and kind of 'ehh'. Getting to see them that way would so much better, oh Grand Forum King. I undertstand there were a ton of new 'Gyaos' designs, especially as 'boss' monsters (one was very similar to Iris, made a couple years early).

Hmm, I wouldnt really say that any of them resemble Irys at all. If any do it might be just the basic head shape of one boss, but that would be about as close as it gets. I will have to play through the game again to be sure though as I havent played it in awhile.

I didn't like it when I played it. Mainly because it was in Japanese and I'm about as well versed in Japanese as a rock. Also the fact that Gamera, the Guardian of the Universe, was attacking buildings... kinda... put a strange take on the movie's storyline.

So I'm not a huge fan of it.

I think I have gotten around to level 8, just after Gamera and Gyoas first fight I think, but for some reason I ran out of points and couldn't buy any more armaments. Try getting Gamera or Gyoas captured with one tank?

Gamera Gyaosu Gekimetsu Sakusen. That is the japanese name of the game. Sorry I have no idea of what it translates too.
