Default MEG: PRIMAL WATERS By Steve Alten

The third book in the Meg series. I am currently reading this title now. I am about halfway done with it. The story is something like this. Jonas Taylor is stricken with new problems: An ageing father with 2 kids and bills for everything. Money is low and life is just plain rough. Meanwile, the Meg "Angel" has escaped from the trench along with a male Meg. Running amok and causing whales to beach. Jonas and his 17 year old doughter Dani have been offered a place in a new show called DareDevils. A cross between fear factor and Survivor. They are sailing in a old spanish galeion replica in the ocean untill things go a little over board later.
I am starting to get into this book. For those of you who liked the series, go read it. I hope for the movie goes under way for MEG.

Finished the book now. It was pretty good. I sent an e-mail to Steve Alten and he sent one back. He recommended his other books like Goliath and Loch wene it out.

I've read MEG and THE TRENCH and I enjoyed them both. I'm looking forward to reading PRIMAL WATERS. However, if Alten ever decides to visit this series again, I think he should concider focusing on something other than the Megs. Perhaps a particularly large specimen of Kronosaurus could escape from the Mariana Trench (or be captured) and go on a rampage. Or, Alten could go ahead and create a fictitious animal that's even larger than the Kronosaurus.
