Default Reptiles and Amphibians!

Hey Everyone, Just curious as to if their are any other Herpers in the forums, for me reptiles are almost all of my life, I wish to study to become a Herpetologist or possibly a Zoopathologist, anything were I can work with the greatest animals on the earth! If I spot the slightest Hint of a Snake or Lizard I go insane, my adrenaline goes crazy! Just today I saw a 2ft Black Racer slither across some stairs and I went into Croc Hunter Mode and captured the Beauty! No Bites this time(unusual for Me!). I also have a Room filled with Lizards and a Snake, not to mention the numerous live food items these animals consume on a daily bases.

I have two Leopard Geckos. I've had an extensive list of herptiles though:

Two Green Iguanas
Desert Iguana
Countless California Newts
Countless Green Pacific Tree Frogs
3 Fire-Belly Toads
One Fire Bellied Newt
One Crested Chameleon
Countless Slender Salamanders (look like black worms with legs)
Countless Blue Belly Lizards

I plan on getting another Chameleon when I get some cash, my last one died while I was away from home.. I left in the morning and it became extremely hot in the day and it died :/

I used to have an iguana. Never figured out if it was male or female but we think female, then she got sick and...#shudders#.....

But I tend to hunt lizards and frogs andstuff when I go out to the country every year or so.

I do love lizards and amphibians. I have been a Dinosaur freak since the age of 2 1/2 and my love for Dinos extended into the animal kingdom. Reptiles and amphibians, IMO, are some of the most bizarre, but most interesting, organisms.

I have a 15 inch Bearded Dragon named Gorgo... He's cool... really neat when he chases after crickets.

Once had a lizard. It was a cool lizard. It was given to me when I went to see my grandpa in Montana. It was apart of the journey home. Loved how it attacked the crickets (and me - my poor fingers). Was a lot of fun to take care of, until I had to get rid of it in order to get a cat. I hope to have reptilian pets in the future. They are a lot of fun.

California's correct, though the wildlife doesn't get much more exciting than that. Holy crap at the Beaded Dragons though, more than 50! Did you get to sell all of the babies, and if so, how much did you get, sheesh!

I Sold all of the babies Except for one Stubby the poor little stub tail He is awsome though!

At First I sold them for 50 dollars a piece gradually dropped it to 35 and I sold a bunch to a Pet Store for 25 a Piece just because they wanted them in bulk, Sadly the pet store didn't take good care of them and got an earfull from myself!

I have always had a huge fascination with this particular group of animals.
Snakes especially. I can identify pretty much all of them, but when I was younger it was different! On vacation in Florida at a nature park (happened to be the same area where Creature from the Black Lagoon was filmed), I petted a cottonmouth! If you know about snakes you'd know how deadly that thing is- I mistook it as a rat snake. Apparently I was so gentle it didn't feel threatened, and a ranger came yelling "Don't touch that snake. That's one of the most venomous snakes in the world! One bite and you're dead!"

Another time me and my crazy aunt got about 15 feet away from an American Alligator. If that thing would have charged at as we'd be screwed over. The gator felt threatened though and it dove into the water.

As for where I live, Ohio, there aren't too many reptiles around.
I had an encounter with a bigass snake last year with my friends, it was coiled up in the rocks! That thing quickly slithered and disappeared in there- it had to be 4 feet long! It had a rattle too!
