Default 16. --Dante & Sithre-- vs --Shadow (Alpha) & Gorjirus--

DANTE & SITHRE
VS
SHADOW (ALPHA) & GORJIRUS

D & S: 7
S & G: 8
Abstain:

---
Battlefield #16: Platformation - Mario’s Nightmare (nineteen-tiered)
Platformation is a large, black room which has a lot of floating, steel platforms for the fighters to engage in combat on. Objects will regularly fall from the ceiling to be used during the fight. There is no true floor - if one falls off, they plunge into the void...
Battlefield Weapons: Stones, boulders, potted plants, plastic chairs, steel chairs, war hammers, pickaxes, ice balls, flying spikes, lava chunks, flaming skull bombs, wooden boxes
---

Dante

Movelist
Devil Flame (Dante sends four upward-reaching ‘spikes’ of flame)
Devil Flame Feint (Dante pretends to use his Devil Flame - fake-out)
Skyfire (Dante does a fiery flying uppercut attack)
Riot Stomp (Dante does a flying kick attack)

---

Sithre
Height: 7'8"
Weight: 766 lbs.

Fighting Style: ???

Affiliations: None

Weapons: Yamigarasu blade, dark orbs, Yami Rauma (whirlwind of dark vapour)

Strength: 8
Speed: 8
Reflexes: 8
Intelligence: 6
Acrobatics: 6

Movelist
Demonic Crucifix (dark orbs appear around Sithre and then launch in one blast - resembles a cross)
Defensive Orb Shield (Sithre surrounds his body with a barrier of orbs)
Nightfall Laser (Sithre shoots a black laser from his sword)

Method of Attack: Sithre is, first and foremost, an android, and as such does not feel pain. Forged from steel, some fighters may find difficult defeating him. However, this does not mean Sithre cannot be destroyed - his circuitry is very similar to a human being's vital organ arrangement (heart, stomach, brain - it's there). Nonetheless, he rushes into battle headfirst, not hesitating to take punishment that comes his way - nothing would stop him from defeating his enemy, or so he thinks. He attacks when the enemy prepares their next strike, and is relentless.

---

Shadow (Alpha)
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 180 lbs
Fighting Style: Cybertronian Prototype Combat Style

Affiliations: Cybertron HQ, Soldier

Weapons: Blaster (fires beams, elemental attacks, and nerve gas bombs); Gorjirian alloy shield

Strength: 9
Speed: 10
Reflexes: 7
Intelligence: 8
Acrobatics: 7

Movelist
Big Bang Strike (Shadow is engulfed in energy, then he runs at his opponent and strikes them with his shield)

Method of Attack: Shadow has lost little since his days as a black-hearted monster, but on the contrary has gained much. He is as fast as RadoGoji, pretty strong, and has a lot more at his disposal than before. His shield cannot be broken because it is made of Gojirian alloy, the strongest metal on Earth. Unfortunately for Shadow, because of his enhanced abilities he’s even more arrogant and thick-headed than before, and this can be his downfall. His intelligence goes up a point nonetheless because he can be unpredictable for foes. His Big Bang Strike is also draining for him, so any foe who can dodge it has a chance at victory.

---

Gorjirus
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 200 lbs. (with armour)

Fighting Style: Saturnian Military Combat

Affiliations: None

Weapons: Photon Cannon; Rocket-Launcher Backpack; chi (from hands); flight

Strength: 9
Speed: 8
Reflexes: 6
Intelligence: 7
Acrobatics: 8

Movelist
Repulsor Blast (Gorjirus fires a photon shot which draws the enemy towards him)
Shoulder Cannon (Gorjirus fires a photon ‘fireball’ shot)
War Destroyer (Gorjirus whips up his Rocket-Launcher Backpack and bombs the hell out of his foe)
Photon Cannon (Gorjirus fires a high-power photon shot)

Method of Attack: Gorjirus' brain incorporates a system that allows him to calculate a foe's abilities and stats. Therefore all of his attacks are based solely on his opponent's capabilities. In any battle, however, his finishing attack will always be with the Photon Cannon, a powerful weapon. His armour is tough and cannot be breached by a normal bullet or sword.

Default Re: 16. --Dante & Sithre-- vs --Shadow (Alpha) & Gorjirus--

I am going to have to go with Gorjirus and Shadow (but I am going to have to make it really good...)

First off, only the physical part of Dante's attacks would even bother Gorjirus because the Gorjiran Armo cancels out the flames (which don't come close to its heating point). Also, Gorjirus superior speed and flight would also keep him out of range from Dante's physical attacks as he can blast away at his foe.

Sithre could present more of a problem, but Gorjirus' armor would help cut down on damage from the energy orbs, as it can't be broken. Gorjirus would need to hover and blast Sithre with his attacks while dodging Sithre's attacks.

Shadow, being stuck on the ground for the most part (more on that later), would have a slightly tougher time. However, his superior speed would allow him to keep away from Dante while firing (and his shield would protect him for the most part from his flames). He would have to move and shoot to defeat Dante.

The same would go for the most part for Sithre, though all of Sithre's attacks could be blocked by Shadow's shield. Again, run and shoot.

Now for some "other" methods.

If Shadow needs some help, Gorjirus could always grab his ally, allowing Gorjirus to fly as Shadow and Gorjirus both fire, tuning the fighters into the equivalent of a fighter jet. Shadow could se his shield here for extra protection as well.

Also, Gorjirus could use his flight as an attack in itself, simply by ramming his opponent of the platform, with them falling to their doom.

The same could be said for Shadow's Big Bang Strike.

Also, G and S special combo attack (Hell of a Storm) could also throw opponents off the platforms.

For these reasons, I say that Gorjirus and Shadow win. (I hope that wasn't ignorantly biased.)

Default Re: 16. --Dante & Sithre-- vs --Shadow (Alpha) & Gorjirus--

I too say that S&G win. Sithre will not pose much of a problem in this match since his circutry is so important to keeping him alive. Shadow could overload it with a lighting blast to destroy the circutry, rendering him useless. Dante can then be blown off the platform to his doom by either Shadow with a wind attack, or Gorjirus by flying into him, or picking him up and throwing him.

Sithre and Dante have no way of saving themselves from falling, unlike Gorjirus and I where Gorjirus could just pick me up.

The objects falling could be blocked and doged by our team, and then harnessed by possibly loading them in our weapons and firing them as projectiles, with extra force (Lightning Chunk, anyone?)

Overall, S&G will be able to handle D&S and come out on top.

Not at all. I agree with all of your points Gorjirus, as well as one in perticular that Shadow mentioned. If Shadow or Gorjirus fall off, Gorjirus can save himself or shadow b/c he can fly. That would mean that Sithre and Dante would have to KO both Shadow and Gorjirus, and I don't see that happening, b/c, as already stated, Gorjirus can fly and Gojirus and Shadow's speed greatly outdo Dantes, and Shadow's speed pawns Sithre's also. I don't think that they would hardly be able to hit either Gorjirus or Shadow.

Winner: Shadow and Gorjirus

Default Re: 16. --Dante & Sithre-- vs --Shadow (Alpha) & Gorjirus--

This fight this early. This is something one would expect to see in the last round. Ohh well....

Quote:
Battlefield Weapons: Stones, boulders, potted plants, plastic chairs, steel chairs, war hammers, pickaxes, ice balls, flying spikes, lava chunks, flaming skull bombs, wooden boxes
Loading them into your guns and shooting them. The only ones that might work are the stones, plants, hammer, pickaxe, and the spikes. The others are either too large or too potent to go shoving in your weapon, i.e. the ice/lava balls and the flaming skull bombs.

All of these are either blockable or dodgeable. They will pose no more threat than if they had fallen at us.

Knocking a fighter off would be the easiest way to win. Where as your armor is Gojirian Alloy, Gorjirus, your thrusters are not. If they are damaged than how do you expect to fly. If you can't fly, you loose the arial advantage and the ability to save your team. Even if you keep this ability, the chances of you saving Shadow from falling while you yourself are getting attacked are pretty slim.

Your attacks can, for the most part, be blocked. I can deflect most projectiles with my sword. Sithre has his shield which would block everything I can and then some. You would have to use your most powerful shots to hit us. Using them early will either weaken you, or cause you to loose balance/focus for a second.

Now, for the offense.

I have the highest strength in this fight. This makes HtH combat against me suicide.

The small amount of space would limit the amount of space that Shadow/Gorjirus have to run and shoot. Most vertical shooting would be hindered by the platforms.

Larger attacks, like the missles or the photon cannon or the Big Bang Strike, would be harder to stop. The shield may take some of them. The missles would probably be avoidable, especially if they aren't homing.

If S/G takes to the air, then that makes a great target for Sithre's orbs.

And, for the main course, the breaking of the Gorjirian Alloy.

If Husnock in the last tournament could break the alloy, then I can. Let me explain.

My strength is higher than that of Husnock. Though I lack the repetity of hits I have one thing he don't have. The Devil Flame.

Though my flame doesn't come close to the melting point of the alloy, it will heat it up. Metal retains heat. Successive heating will raise the temperature every time. I may never hit the melting point, but it will damage it. The heat will hurt Gorjirus physically and maybe the circuits of his suit. Heat will also cause the metal to weaken. The weakened alloy combined with my high strength being applied with two swords, will cause the alloy to be damaged, if not broken.

Winner: Dante and Sithre

Dante: Guns are no match for a good sword....or two.

Sithre: No one will escape the power of the reaper. I will have your souls.

Default Re: 16. --Dante & Sithre-- vs --Shadow (Alpha) & Gorjirus--

Dante's HTH skills are far too high for Gorjirus or Shadow to even consider close combat, so they would have to rely on long-range, almost all of which can be heated and destroyed by Dante's flames or Sithre's projectiles. Gorjirus is going to have to be careful not to have his boosters destroying, disabling flight.

However, chances are very slim for Dante winning. The reason I say Dante is because Sithre is likely to fall to an electric blast. Dante has the power to take Shadow and Gorjirus down, and the reflexes to protect himself from most of their attacks, but can he really face two opponents at once? I say the possibilities are marginally above 50%. Dante simply has to be creative.

Heating up Gorjirus' armor, then repelling an ice attack towards Gorjirus to further damage the armor or simply freeze him and watch him fall into the void below.

Firing Devil's Flames in two angles to pincir-trap Shadow, keep him from running, and attack him head-on full-force.

Dante's own acrobatic ability allows him to leap to an airborne Gorjirus and literally monkey him from up there, overheating his boosters and kicking him into the void to silence him.

His sheer attitude does not stray from grabbing Shadow by the scarf during one of his runby's and launching him over a platform, which would put Gorjirus in a position to save him, and leave BOTH fighters vulnerable to Dante throwing objects at them or launching Devil Flames. And with the extra added weight of holding Shadow, dodging chances are slim.

All in all, I'm sure you all catch my drift.

Winner: Dante and Sithre.

I agree with Pyras on this one. In an area like this will flying even matter. All the stuff falling from the celing could proove as a distraction for them if Shadow is riding the flying Gojirus. Also Dante's fire may do a lot of damage to Gorjirus' thrusters. I like Pyras's explanation the best though. Winners: Dante and Sithre.

Da- J/King, Gojirus and Shadow
Why? Because Dante and Gojirus are both Range fighters wheras the other team are heavy HTH fighters; and this is a 19-teired arena! Dante and Sithre won't be able to reach Gojirus and Shadow who have the raw fire-power to simply shoot at them continuously until they both die! So there!
Also, should any of Dante/Sithre's attacks get near enough, Gojirus and Shadow have shields or armor to protect them should Dante or Sithre get ambitious with the arena's weapons. So, it's nowhere near as close as it appears.

Gojirus: "The stage is set."
Shadow: "The show begins."

Gojirus and Shadow's superior speed mean they are going to be running rings around Dante and Sithre. Gojirus can also fly, which is going to be a life saver in this level. One bad move, and their opponents will fall to their deaths, whilst Gojirus can quickly save himself or his ally with his flight.

Gojirus's armor and Shadow's shield will go a long way in preventing their loss as well.

Arn't there alot of steel platforms in this level, if so then i think Sithre and Dante take this, even if you take to the air, me or Dante could try to catch up by jumping on the levels to take you down-or just hide beneath em, making you guys get close and ultimatel killing you..

But also couldn't our special easily knock you guys out of the air....

Ok, where should I start. First, as Orga said above, flight would not be very helpful in this match. If Gorjirus in the air, and Sithre and Dante are on the platforms, Gorjirus won't be looking above to see if something will fall onto him. If he got hit by an object, it could provide a distraction and give Dante or Sithre and opening to exploit.

Second, Dante's flame attacks. Guess what? The Gorjiran alloy won't really help for this. Ever hold a burning hot peice of wood? Your hand gets burned, even if you aren't touching the flames. Even if Shadow holds up his shield to block Dante's flames, his hand is going to get burned by the heat. And this would be even worse for Gorjirus. His rockets are obviously not gorjiran alloy, or they wouldn't explode. Dante could make Gorjirus' rockets explode inside the backpack. That wouldn't be good for Gorjirus, and would probably knock his boosters out of control and send him tumbling to his doom.

Now, assuming Sithre has charged Shadow and was electrically disable (although I think Shadow may have let him give Shadow a good fight before using the electricity, being such an arrogant fighter). Dante will be able to deflect Shadows beams, and if he gets Shadow heated up with the Devils flams or whatnot, he may even be able to explode the nerve gas bombs in Shadow's guns (increase of heat means increase of volume and pressure, and considering the heat of Dante's attacks, it's a possibility). I think that Dante can just do more damage to Shadow than Shadow can do to Dante. His brute force may even just knock Shadow off the platforms.

I have to agree with the points raised for Dante and Sithre. There's also that Yami Rauma mist to cloud the eyes of Gorjirus and Shadow. That same mist could lead to the death of Gorjirus, as he could fly blindly into a barrage of projectiles and/or objects. The platforms will also allow Dante and Sithre to get right up there with Gorjirus and Shadow. All in all, I'd say that Gorjirus's rocket boosters would be his downfall (no pun intended). Sithre might get shorted out in the process, but I think Dante would be enough to bring down the Blackhearted Shadow.

Winners: Dante & Sithre

After I looked at the stats for each side, I made my desicion. I beleive that the scenario laid out below is one way that Dante and Sithre might win:

Dante makes a leap on top of Gorjirus carrying Shadow. Now, Gorjirus isn't that agile, and the addition of Shadow would only further hamper that. Add the possibility of Dante grabbing onto both of them and slashing with his swords, and you should see a pattern. Sithre's mist and orbs would further help, at the cost of Dante, who would probably join the fate of Shadow and Gorjirus in falling into the void.

Shadow is a fierce opponent. You need to concider the character's EXPERIENCE on the battlefield, rather than just his powers. And lets not forget Gorjirus, he is far from a weakling.

Shadow(a) and G take this one home.

Shadow (Alpha) & Gorjirus Win!

As Dante and Sithre plunged into the darkness below the steel platforms, Shadow and Gorjirus stood at the highest point of Platformation, battered and burned but still functioning reasonably well. Around them, new objects fell from the black void above them, slamming into the platforms.

"Our victory was not an easy one," Shadow said, "but we succeeded without the aid of any others besides ourselves...at least, I believe. Now that is what is called a true conquest." Suddenly a large, tough stone impacted with the cyborg’s head, and the black one was knocked to the floor, dazed.

"But apparently, you haven’t yet conquered the subtle art of dodging falling objects," Gorjirus sighed, crossing his arms. As he turned his head aside, abruptly a potted fern shattered against the top of his head, and he became dizzy and disoriented as the dirt covered his optics.

"Well, that makes two of us."
