Roostville Tourny?
If this has been brought up before, and dismissed just close and delete thise...
I was wondering if maybe a mysterious man enters town, offering a prize to the one who comes out victorious in a town tourny or something....That is a simple plot reason, but i could easily come up with a better begining...
Would this be possible, to set up a tourny and get those who are citizens who want to enter the fight to sign up or something, and it all takes place during a RR, not in discussion or anything...
Hey just wondering.....

Re: Roostville Tourny?
It would only include those citizens that can "hold their own" in a fight. I think it would be a cool idea....But their should be something dark and sly happening around the events of the tourny, like a ton of foreshadowing and on the edge plot developing....

Re: Roostville Tourny?
well, we should probably have it devided into lightweights and heavyweights. then, pretty much anyone could be invovled. there really are few characters who would be able to stand up to Battrarules, and a couple others, so why not make it 2 separate things?

Re: Roostville Tourny?
Weren't we doing something similar to this in the Chat Fighter/Roostville crossover?
Something very similar.

Re: Roostville Tourny?
Er....would it be a good idea to let Afiag into the Tourny? (Get's pelted with rotten fruit.)....what about the Blue De-(Get's knocked backwards by a flying piano, thrown by BR.)....Right...(Seriously though, should we includ Afiag, and if so, which one?)

Re: Roostville Tourny?
I have no problem with Afiag being in the tourney. Provided that it is the least powerful version of him, of course. The RVTS version would just slaughter everyone else. He's the Roostville Demon Eyes Parker.

Re: Roostville Tourny?
...Ok, here are the choices of the Afiag. Afiag the Angel of Life,(The one who fought Apoc the first time around) Afiag the Demon Huntsman(A serverly weaker virsion. Hell, he can only summon fire balls!) and Afiag the Fallen One (Rather weaker, less sadistic virsion of the Angel of Darkness.) Oh and Kronos...you haven't seen Afiag truely angry yet....But, he will never become as powerful as he was back when he first fought the Blue Devil....that would just be mean...

Not even alcohol would save you from Afiag, young grasshopper. In fact, he'd probably boil you in a vat of the stuff...

Re: Roostville Tourny?
I could fight as a heavy-weight and a lightweight. I could go as Regular PH as a lightweight (the human form) or Battle PH as a heavyweight (13 foot fire golem). Funny thing is, Battle PH has no weight at all. But they both can pelt opponents with flames of all temperatures! But I know flames won't always win...

also, we could make this take place in the Golden Age of Roostville, therefore having a good reson to have a weaker form of Afiag: Super Count Jet Jaguar! if that was so, though, i wouldn;t have any medalions other than lightspeed, and Tigerlily and White Rikku couldn't join in either, not to mention many others.

White Rikku showed up at the dance but Tigerlily isn't mentioned until SEPARATION. You got your first medallion at the Club from Godzilla Guy.
As I was preparing the stories for the site, I made a file of appearances and other key events. I'm wondering if EVERYONE wouldn't mind checking the ADDITIONAL CHARACTER DETAILS notes regarding the stories to see if anything IMPORTANT got missed. If so, please post it in the appropriate STORY DISCUSSION TOPIC. When the other files are reformatted and a few other things taken care of, I'm thinking of just putting that file on the site as it has everything organized BY STORY.

Re: Roostville Tourny?
So Khan want me to go through the Profiles and set this up along with a story or what? . Somehow i have time on my hands (school doesnt matter, and my life is dieing down here so why not)....
Im not quite sure about two different tournies, light and heavy weight. That is what makes it a true town, Your gonna die if your not prepared, I'm seeing some really powerfull evils in the end fighting each other and Sithre is undoubtedly gonna be in the shadows waiting for that moment to strike down the entire colleseum....

I'd say a free-for-all would work best with an "ultimate evil" waiting in the wings. This appears to be an Alternate Universe type of thing so go for it! WHatever will work best for you. As for folks you might want to include who don't have a profile up, now is a great time to get that taken care of. Just ask if you need info on what stories you might have appeared in and I'll post it from that master file. I just don't have the time myself to go through so much material like we did for the earlier ones. There is also need for additional details that might not have been included in the stories, like origins, background, etc.
For fighting purposes, there are a bunch of Roostville ones in the ROOSTVILLE VS. ROOST FIGHTER forum.

Re: Roostville Tourny?
well, we could simply match lightweights against lightweights, heavies with heavies, for the first part of it, and once we have a couple left of each, then combine them. that very well could work.
Rodan2000
PS, uh-oh, i smell a plot hole. White Rikku wasn't supposed to be in Roostville until Separation, there's the big deal with him being one of the first newcomers for quite a while, what with the Dark Ages descending. there was a big deal with him being new to Roostville at that point. let me check on what happened with him at the Roostville Dance and i'll see what i can do with that.
UPDATE: after extensively checking the Roostville Dance, as far as i can tell, he makes no appearance in it. that must have been some mistake, seeing as how so many characters were involved in the Dance, including me, and i supposedly didn't even come to Roostville until 2 years later! so, if Rikku's profile can be changed, his first appearance was Separation, i would really appreciate it.

Oops! I no doubt meant the THIS IS ROOSTVILLE PRE-HISTORY tale still unfolding. That being the case, it doesn't affect when he shows up in Roostville itself, which didn't come about until Morgoth and Sauron establish it. SEPARATION is in February 2015. Sithre doesn't arrive until April 2015 or so himself. I'm guessing that since this will be Alternate Uniiverse, just about ANYONE can show up, including those who got killed off. For that matter, Sauron could be included without the C&T killings hanging over his head.

Re: Roostville Tourny?
oh, yeah. that's right. well, that works.
he didn't come into Roostville, though, until Separation. so, he still couldn't be in a Golden Age based tournament. same with Tigerlily. and, there's a ton of characters who came in during AFTERMATH who would have a good job in a torunament. so, it would be best to have in in modern day Roostville.

Re: Roostville Tourny?
OK, how about we have a super heavy weight as well, for Apoc(Res and RVTS), Afiag(RTVS), Nightmare Angillis Volan(Is that right?) and the Blue Devil at 85%. (BTW, the Blue Devil was only at 11% in RVTS, and BR could have beaten him. He just fooled everyone into thinking he was a God....) Oh and anyone else who wishes to try their luck in the death match.

Re: Roostville Tourny?
Okay, so im gonna have alittle begining for this in my current Rv story and then i will write the full begining but to do that i need everyoen who has an active character to post their stats here and that they want or don't want to be in the tourny, and who they think they could stand up agains, or a rivalry they want to act out....

No, post your Rv stats, and soem people you think would provide a good fight for you, then if they are active members fight it out on your own and tell me the winner, then i will do it in the story

umm, i have no idea what the stat's thing is for Roostville. i thought that the RF ones were the only ones we've had, and i'd be fine with that system.

I ment to say your profiles, sorry....But if you could put stats down in those it would help. It is not gonna be the type of tourny as the Rf tournies though....

Re: Roostville Tourny?
I'm wondering if we shouldn't move this and the STATS thread to the THIS IS ROOSTVILLE forum, or even the CHARACTERS one?
Looking ahead, there will no doubt be a good number of matches, rounds, etc. so maybe a sub-forum will need to be created.
I can't see this becoming another ROOST FIGHTER where the various "citizens" area constantly getting in battles with each other but a "special event" like this one could be fun!
Dueling has been pretty much outlawed in the "civilized" world but if you all would like to "revive" the idea, Roostville seems a place such a thing would happen! It sure beats just bushwhacking your neighbor for letting his pet kaiju use your new SUV for a chew toy!

Re: Roostville Tourny?
Exactly what i first thought, but it may be able to be worked into the chronicles...
And ofcourse it would have some lingering dark nemesis in the shadows plotting and schemeing....
