AIM problem.

Someone has gotten a hold of my AIM account, and has been doing some strange things with it.

Just want to give you guys a heads up in case the hacker says something strange/offensive to you, because it's not me.

I'll keep you updated if I make a new AIM account.

I've been locked out of my AIM account, so my new one for the time being is AG Strider, if anyone wants to contact me.

Okay, so I got my AIM account back.

Supposedly someone on the university computers had downloaded a keylogger in an attempt to get a bunch of peoples passwords. Luckily the only thing he'd gotten from me that day was my AIM account password.

The University caught him and I think is taking legal action, he tried to give up all of the stolen accounts in an attempt to clear himself, but he still got caught. So I have my account back now.

Of course this is all second hand information I've gotten from my friends and the University staff. I've sort of went on a trip to Toronto, so I'm halfway across the country from the University.

Glad you have your AIM account back.

When you return to the university - I figure a number of us are curious:

- was the culprit playing a large prank, or was he wanting to take advantage of the knowledge/"power" he had acquired?

- what sort of legal action is the university taking? Identity theft could probably be taken fairly far in the justice system.

- and, of course, what did your "trip to Toronto" entail?
