Well, just thought I'd put up a poll seeing what kaiju people most want to see me redo in my New Era kajiu redo section. As stated before, some of these creatures will probbaly see light of day eventually in a full fledged New Era story. I have provided a few examples of just what consists of a monster for each category. Now I am interested in hearing what ones you'd like to see!!! Any specific requests should be noted in a reply below.

...Mechatron was from a video game...?
Anyhoo, I'd like to see more video game monsters, mainly because that's my other big vice. There are some great monsters in games, particularly Lavos from Chrono Trigger and some of the giant beasties from the Final Fantasy series. (Sin, the WEAPON creatures, and the Giant of Babel in particular! He took on an entire army of tanks and airships, a la Godzilla! Too bad they scared the hell out of him...) Then there's that Perfect Chaos guy everybody seems to like...

Daei film ones for preference, w/ added non-Japanese ones and originals.

I think the way you have been going in your stories has been fine but if you were going to concentrate mainly on only a few of these categories than I would go with Kaiju from Toho/Daiei films and originals.

I would like to see some new Kaiju more than the rest. But I think you also need to use some of the existing Kaiju that havent yet gotten an appearance in your stories, I really want to see what you do with Barugon and Jiger.
Other than that I would have to say Cartoon and Comic Book kaiju, everything else can be pretty much left by the way side.

Well, I for one would maybe like to see some more Video Game Kaiju. Lavos would be cool, but one that I'd really like to see would be some of the Monsters from the King of the Monsters series, paticularly KotM 2. The characters Cyber-Woo and Super Geon (we can just call him Geon) would make some impressive Kaiju. They have impressive powers, and even have ready made size stats from the game. Cyber-Woo has flight, Rocket hands, Missle launchers in his back, and a HUGE missle that projects from his chest, requiering him to tuck his head in to fire it properly.
Geon can breath fire, grow bone spikes that he can throw, and can jump super naturaly well, making mini quakes when he lands.
The other Kaiju from that game are slightly less desirable, and quite frankly, odd looking, as well as in need of better names. the 3rd hero monster, Atomic Guy, is like a cross between Captain America anmd Ultra Man. Basically a sentai charicter, this monster does go beserk and destroy cities, so he doesn't quite have the same sort of "hero" mentality as other sentai. his powers are basically ray or energy produced, and can use the energy in various ways, including binding his foes with energy rings.
The alien monsters are the truly bizzar ones. Huge Frogger, a humanoid reptilian creature with a metal mask shaped like a Frog's head is the least bizzar of the bunch. Able to jump, kick and slash at lightining speed, and also able to teleport short distances ans shoot an energy beam.
Eifelyte is another bizzar creature. A basically humanoid creture, Eifelyte has bizzar oozing sores on his body, and his head looks like its a rotting pile of mud with 3 eyes. Eifelyte can shoot his head from his body like a boomerang (leaving an odd stump behind) that electrocutes on contact, and can shoot a petryfing beam, and send tendrils into a foe anmd suck on its vital energy. Even with his body destroyed, the head can still float arround.
Claw Head is one of the most bizzar looking of the aliens. Claw Head has 2 grinning faces with two horn like claws attop what could either be considered a neck or a tail, because at the bottom of his body near his 2 legs exists another gaping mouth filled with teeth. INSIDE the lower mouth are 2 eyeballs that stare out when the mouth is open, as well as a weird tounge like device with teeth simaler to that of the monsters from the movie Alien. As for powers, besides psysical attacks, he doesn't seem to have any.
Beetle King is a wirdly named foe, for he seems to be more of a scorpion. Beetle King has 4 legs and 2 arms, standing like a centaur. A he has a scorpion tail on his body with a deadly stinger that can inject nerve poision in a foe making them dissoriented, and has a fang filled mouth that opens virtically instead of horizontally on his chest. A single eue exists above the mouth, and perhaps the strangest feature is the exteternal brain kept in a jar above his eye in a hallow stump. Beetle king can fire his brain from his body at his foers, hitting them with the glass orb, and can fire a beam from his mouth, as well as dig very well in the ground. Beetle King's brain can exist apart from his body, and can ditch the glass and grow an eye, tail and legs to crawl or fly on its own.
Sack eyes is an aquatic foe with a multitude of powers. Consisting of a spireled snail like shell, Sack Eyes has a lare, blood red organ sack which contains all of his vital organs in it. His head has 4 eyes on his body, with virtical mandibles. Sack Eyes can fire off whirlwinds/pools by spinning in his shell, and can also freeze a foe in ice with close contact. He can also spit wierd orgainc bubbles that can cause a foe to swell up when hit.
Lavicus is also a bizzar foe. Lavicus consists in 3 parts. a lower half that consists of a tail and a lower half of a jaw, a single floating eye ball inbetwen, and an upper half. His upper half consists of an upper jaw, clawed hands, 4 eyes ( 5 counting the one in the middle of his 2 bodies), wings and a wierd tube like projection on his head. Lavicus can fire beams from his head, and can bite them with his upper and lower body, and can charge his tail with energy. Lavicus can also lay eggs that can hatch into smaller aliens quitwe quickly.
The leader of all of the aliens is King Farmadey. A rather large and massive foe, he probably outweighs Legion. With as large green Mass for a body with no legs and a wide base, Farmadey has 6 eyes, and a wide toothy maw with a bizzar toung like head within. The "toung head" has 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth of his own. Farmadet also has tiny hands sticking out of the base of his body. Farmadey can spit beam weapons, organic bubbles, and can suck up and swallow foes whole with his toung head, as well as jump very high.
See, the mojority of those guys are really a joke to look. I'd stick with Cyber-Woo the mecha-ape and Super Geon the Dragon.

The dudes from the first game were Geon, Beetle Mania, Atomic Guy (I think), & Rocky.
The second game's heroes were Super Geon, Atomic Guy, & Cyber Woo; the villains were Huge Frogger, Eifelyte, Clawhead, Beetle Master, Sack Eyes, Lavicus, & King Famardy. Both those games were pretty damn hard.

Well, although I voted for Video Game Kaiju initially, I think that a real good Original Kaiju is in need for your next stories.
Sure, you do wonderful things taking old Kaiju, giving them new oragins and new powers, but I would like to see you try and create an original new Kaiju of your own, Steel Rain was cool, but I'd like to see you do more. I'd like to see what that great creativity of yours can do.
One original Kaiju that you did was the Phantom Steed Kaiju, the horse of the Samuri Lord from the start of Koujamitsu.
That looked like it had some potential. Will it ever see some action in the story, or did you just do it to fulfil the dare I gave you?

Me personally i love the unused monsters of unscripted films. But along with this i like the introduction of rightly done Hana Barbara Godzilla movies. I know you will always use Gamera and Godzilla foes, but a nice change of one of two Unmade and Cartoon Godzilla foes would be to have.
But i dont like the overuse of Meacha's, sorry, just not a big fan of the metalic warriors.

There are a whole slew of beasties out there from a variety of sources, comic, cartoons, ect. While I'm not trying to suck up to you Mr. Warner you've managed to incorperate such things as the Hammer version of Frankenstien, the evil Cthullhu, and several unmade Toho creations quite well without looking contrived . If you do have any your own ideas like Steel Rain ,use them at will. One particular unmade movie kaiju I wouldn't mind seeing is the Gryphon from the Rossio/ Elliot script for what Tri-Star should've done for thier G-related project. I'd like to see what horrorfying twist you have in store for that montrosity. Also its about time for the gang at GARD to get up ,and join the fight. I want to see the American military come in with thier own mecha, either Cybersaur or Red Ronin.

Unmade. Specifically Dogolas (to learn more about Dogolas, visit http://www.TohoKingdom.com, and go to the Lost Projects section). Dogolas would make an awesome monster-foe for the Mighty King of Monsters.

I think the New Era needs more of the unmade Kaiju. If not, extremely obscure ones will do just fine.

Clint, popular requests demand that you come up with an original Kaiju of your own, like Steel Rain. Of course, I understand it's not that wasy to do that right away, but I really hope you cook one up soon just for the sake of it. Anyway, here's hoping an original Kaiju will come thrashing Tokyo soon!
Peace,
Melkor
