Re: Movie Maniacs 7 Revealed!
About damn time they make Robocop. Now all they have to make is a Jurassic Park Veloviraptor, a Pitch Black alien, possibly Riddick, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, & the Dracula man-bat from Bram Stoker's Dracula (among many others). Hopefully maybe a Graboid/Shrieker/asblaster boxset, kinda like what they did with Jaws.

Re: Movie Maniacs 7 Revealed!
I'm not too thrilled with that list. It just seems too 'plain' for me. I hope they do the Jurassic Park T. rex in the future, or at least the Velociraptor. Godzilla would be sweet, but farfetched. I guess I just like their Horror toy line MUCH better. Oh, and King Kong was in Movie Manaicas 3.
Peace,
Melkor

The Evil Dead trilogy should be made into a box set, so should all the Gamera movies.

Hmm...The Sinbad Movies (excluding the new animated one) need a boxset. (They could even include the new one. I would still get it).
SINBAD:
Golden Voyage
7th Voyage
... And I can't remember the rest.
|
Its already been made and its already been released and is in stores, its called the "Sinbad Collection" and has all three of the original series, 7th Voyage, Golden Voyage, and Eye of the Tiger.

Re: DVD Box Sets that NEED made
There actually is suppose to be an Evil Dead boxset in the works. However, its been a long time since I read about it. So they may have dropped the idea.
Godzilla the Series- Volumes 1 & 2 (including the unaired episodes)
Horror Classic Remakes of the 80s Collection
John Carpenter's The Thing
The Fly
The Blob

Re: DVD Box Sets that NEED made
First off, a Sinbad box set has been out.
Secondly, there are TWO Harryhausen box sets coming out soon! Here's the contents of each,
The Fantastic Films of Ray Harryhausen - Legendary Science Fiction Series (It Came from Beneath the Sea / Earth vs. the Flying Saucers / 20 Million Miles to Earth / Mysterious Island / H.G. Wells' First Men in the Moon)
The Fantastic Films of Ray Harryhausen - Legendary Monster Series (Jason and the Argonauts / The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad / The Golden Voyage of Sinbad / Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger / The 3 Worlds of Gulliver)
Check Amazon, the first one should be out November 30th.

Meh, I already have those on DVD. All those films have been out on DVD for awhile now, they're just throwing them together in a boxset to try to make a little more money.
Some boxsets I'd like to see:
Chucky collection
Child's Play
Child's Play 2
Child's Play 3
Bride of Chucky
Seed of Chucky (when it comes out on DVD)
50's and 80s Classic Horror
The Blob (1958)
The Blob (1988)
The Fly (1958)
The Fly (1986)
The Thing (1954)
The Thing (198?)
Kong box
King Kong (1932)
Son of Kong
King Kong vs. Godzilla
King Kong Escapes
King Kong (1976)
King Kong Lives
King Kong (2005)

Another one already made. Although it is only 2, 3, and Bride. I wouldn't expect a bow set of the complete series seeing as how the original was made by MGM Studios and the rest by Universal, and the new one by Rogue. Box sets I want to see made?
The Howling Set:
The Howling
Howling II: Your Sister Is a Werewolf
Howling III
Howling IV: The Original Nightmare
Howling V: The Rebirth
Howling VI: The Freaks
The Howling: New Moon Rising
The Amityville Horror Set:
The Amityville Horror
Amityville II: The Possession
Amityville 3-D (In actual 3-D) aka Amityville 3: The Demon
Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes
Amityville '92: It's About Time
Amityville: A New Generation
Hellraiser Set:
Hellraiser
Hellbound: Hellraiser II
Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth
Hellraiser IV: Bloodline
Hellraiser V: Inferno
Hellraiser VI: Hellseeker
And those other two Hellraiser's that are coming out. Any help on their names?
More to come...

Re: DVD Box Sets that NEED made
I think a set of puppetry classics should be made of films such as Labyrinth , The Dark Crystal and other similar films. Would be perfect for when I'm feeling nostalgic (I'm only 19 and I already get nostalgia pangs sometimes!)

and dont forget Invasion of the Body Snatchers
the Ultimate Godzilla Showa Collection:
Godzilla King of the Monsters/Gojira (original Jpanese version)
Ghidorah three headed monster
Destroy All Monsters
Godzilla vs. Gigan
Terror of MechaGodzilla
this way we have three of Godzilla best foes, and Anguirus Mothra Rodan and some other friends included.

They should eventually make a Box Set of ALL SIX Star Wars films. And maybe a set of every single James Bond!

Well, I'm bored, so I thought I'd start a topic here. What, in your opinion, is the best film poster ever made? Provide a picture if possible.

Hmm... I don't have a pic, but the Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan poster was pretty cool.

The poster for Tim Burton's Batman. All it showed was the Batman logo and nothing else.....
This is the poster in question

Re: Best Film Poster?
people are going to be biased with the poster of their favorite movie.
though here's mine. i'm a shadow fan. i have this on my wall.
and here's another favorite of mine. it's the phantom. when i first saw this i was just like wow. he looks so cool sitting there.
and here's batman for those that want to see.
you can find the movie poster image on ebay then host it on www.imageshack.us and cut and paste the url it gives you into your post.

Wha?!? That's the first time I've seen a Batman poster that had all the info! Aw....! Meh, it still gets my vote anyway.
And yes, The Shadow was an awesome movie, why it still hasn't been released on DVD, I'll never know.

Re: Best Film Poster?
The Fright Night poster is one that really sticks in my head as a favorite of mine. I remember being a little kid ,and seeing the artwork at my local video store and it sort of creeping me out. Another favorite of mine has to be the original poster artwork for the horror flick, Pumpkinhead, featuring the title monster illuminated underneath the fullmoon ,amonst some twisted trees. Cool image right there. From the non-horror side of things I'd have to go with Transformers:The Movie, and the King Kong remake poster(which I have, but isn't in the best of conditions). Which shows the beast straddling the the Twin Towers as he's attacked by aircraft.
