BLOB Monsters

Blob monsters have always facinated me... As a kid, one recurring nightmare would be the cherry colored Blob oozing out of the air vent in my room and slithering over to the bed...brrr!

We all know that a jelly-type monster's one weakness is extream cold. Although in The H-MAN (aka BEAUTY AND THE LIQUID HUMAN), we learn that the spineless one can be defeated be being diluted in water.

In order to battle monsters like Godzilla and Gamera, what kind of special properties would a blob monster need?

They would need to be able to handle large amounts of heat,he would be able to split into small legion like mini versions,or a cool abiltle would be able to turn to toxic gas,able to regenerate after taking damage,to be acidic and thats all I can think of...

Interesting... I was also thinking of an "attack from within". The Blob creature could ooze into a major orifice of a kaiju and destroy it from the inside out. The gelatinous creature could also be secrete an acid-like toxin to melt organic material.
