Godzilla emerges from an iceberg off the coast of Alaska. The monster immediately
heads for the Alaskan pipeline, attacking the oil fields. Onboard SHIELD's enormous
heli-carrier, agents Dum-dum Dugan and Jimmy Woo communicate with their superior,
Nick Fury, who is enroute from Japan with Japanese experts on Godzilla. Dugan gives
the order to attack. A small army of super-weapons descend from the heli-carrier.
First the armed hover platforms of the 'Angel' squad assault Godzilla, then the 'Demon'
disc planes. None are effective. Finally, a massive laser cannon is brought to bear on
Godzilla. The laser blast hurts Godzilla, causing him to destroy the weapon with a blast
of his own fire. The berserk Godzilla sets fire to the spilled oil in the valley, turning
the field into a firestorm. Dugan and Woo manage to lure Godzilla into attacking the
mountain side of the valley, causing an avalanche that smothers the inferno. Godzilla
turns and stalks off just as Nick Fury arrives with the Japanese. They are Dr. Yuriko
Takiguchi, sole survivor of the original atomic test which awakened Godzilla. The others
are his assistant Tamara Hashioka and grandson Robert Takiguchi. The Doctor has plans
which for a weapon which he hopes will defeat Godzilla.
